My super inspected them, had even changed the vents or the valves recently. Historically, the radiators have worked but the board, which controls the computer settings, is stingy with the heat. I don’t know why the living room radiator is completely cold now, and neither does the super. Just another problem in my depressing life.

I’m sorry, that sucks but I think you are resilient, clever and funny and amazing. Hang in there

I’m not someone who could live in an apartment or any kind of complex. I hate stupid rules and I like to be the master of my domain. When I moved into this house 15 years ago, with a bedroom on the main floor, I told my sons that they’ll have to carry me out feet first.

Veah is the aggrieved party, not to mention a victim.

I like Laura Mercier as well, inflation is real. A shadow stick is now 45 bucks CAD. I like Bobbi Brown because they have a nice cool toned neutral shade I love, many nude shades look orange or too pink on me.

Do you like Moonstone?

I hear that Canadian makeup prices are much higher … but in Australia they’re astronomical!

Maybe her new cosmetics line?  Jones Road?  When I can find a product, I go to Ulta, they usually have a makeup person who knows about all of the lines.

I feel so blessed that I can't even do eye liner. I have 1 mascara, some Estee Lauder lipsticks, and various bad ideas from Maybelline and Loreal.

I haven't worn makeup in well over a year. Strictly for weddings and funerals, and all the old folks are dead and all the youngsters are married.

I like mascara, a neutral eye and some tinted lip balm. Even though I don’t wear much I don’t want to pay 45 bucks for eyeshadow. Yikes.

Ummm...she said "we had a baby who passed away" to guilt Sunny. That is different than miscarrying before birth. I've lost 8 at various stages. They aren't interchangeable

That is terrible I am sorry you went through that.

Thank you...it does get easier until it doesn't hurt any more.

I have a prepaid cremation with no viewing. Solved.

Oooh, that's smart! I'd opt for that, except my son insists on giving me a Viking funeral-I'll be placed on a longship and he will fire a flaming arrow into it, igniting is as I drift out to sea. I did point out that he doesn't know how to shoot an arrow but he waved that off as a mere bagatelle.

My brother says he wants his ashes flushed down the toilet.

If I was still going to the office every day I'd wear it to work, but now I only wear it for special occasions, can't be bothered otherwise.

I went through phases wearing makeup to work...not when I worked graveyard shifts, yes when I worked normal day shifts, and never again after Covid. Then I retired and everything I have has to be tossed. Don't miss it, not one little bit.

I realized many years ago that no one is looking at me because  they only care about themselves. I became invisible, which suited me and continues to do so.

If it's good enough for Nicolle, Jr., then it's good enough for you.

True, but …i always did makeup at least partly for myself. I rarely go out these days. The elevator, the lobby, doctors appointments! And starting up PT again this week. Makeup for the gym! (My therapist IS kinda cute…)
