@judylo how are you doing my friend ?

Worried a bit about tomorrow evening’s 2 hr PET scan. But mainly for over a week my twice-broken knee started acting up, out of the blue. None of my usual remedies are working, and I cannot deal with yet more doctors appointments and possible serious medical problems.

How are you coping?

And now for something completely different, @sainte-chapelle--there is a new show debuting on CBC (I think) in January, called Saint Pierre, and it stars Alan Hawco (from Republic of Doyle) and Josephine Jobert (from Death in Paradise)! I have no idea when it will be shown in the US. If you catch it can you let me know if its good?? I am positively FAINTING

OMG that sounds amazing I can’t wait!!!!

Im so,sad for Faith. Hubby who hates this show even stopped  on this way from getting a snack and asked what was happening…when I explained he even felt bad for her and he doesn’t even watch the show.  He also thinks Loren is trash . He thinks Loren thought he could get away with shit because he is dating a person likely in a vulnerable position as it can be difficult being trans anywhere but especially the Philippines etc.

Right? I love Alan Hawco and he and Alan Doyle are good friends--Alan did a couple of guest appearances on Republic of Doyle and I am hoping he'll turn up on Saint Pierre as well! I would die. Republic of Doyle makes me laugh and laugh and I love all the beauty shots of Newfoundland.

Just joined. I forgot what day it is!

Its that strange period between Christmas and New Year. No one knows what day it is and there is nothing in the house to eat except cheese and chocolate.

Hola my snarky peeps! How's everyone's weekend been? Everyone at Casa Mostly is sick now. Stand in the hallway and you hear coughing and hacking coming from all over the house. I Instacarted $70 worth of OTC cough and cold medicine today. Delightful! I hope all of you are having a better week!

Hopefully we're on the mend now, though poor houseguest is flattened. I was flattened earlier this week but today I could do a little cleaning and do some laundry. Still coughing up a lung though. Yuck. At least I don't have to do anything this week and can continue to rest up. How did you fare over the holiday? I know it was a tough one for you. I hope your in laws were kind and gave you space.

Oh something funky going on here …

anyway, Pepper, it isn’t Covid?

As soon as I could I set it up to record. Really looking forward to it. I’ll let you know if I like it.

I’m so,sorry you are going through this. I wish I could help. I am managing the best I can but I feel like banks, the system etc is fighting me at every turn. I just want to get through all this so I can grieve.

No, thank goodness. I took a covid test the other day, negative. Houseguest took one yesterday, negative. Its just some sort of horrible creeping crud. I've gotten every vax there is so I'm really flummoxed. But it's nasty!

So I bought a couple of pairs of slippers today. Because I have no self-discipline. These were from Costco, available till midnight tonight, shearling slippers that are like the UGGS clogs that people wear. $29.99!! I know, right? These are probably the only slippers that are still all shearling, not some wool that doesn’t keep my toes as warm. Oh, also bought two Birkin bag dupes from Walmart for $70 each? I need to stop buying stuff I don’t need. HELP!!

I hope the knee feels better soon! And that the PET scan is ok. Keep us updated! I've had a lot of imaging (so am maybe not the best indicator) but I found the PET scan to be easy. The hardest part was not eating beforehand (I think for 8 hours).

I am eating carnitas pork with bottled taco sauce because I have no fixings to make actual carnitas.
