Are they setting the stage for Forrester to leave the show or something? I don’t get what this whole storyline with Daindridge is about, I get sick of the endless stories about the team battling the higher ups. The case was more of an action thriller than a case, so I found that rather dull, and I just haven’t been as into the show lately. I hope it improves soon.

Someone posted upthread that the actor has been on paternity leave, so the character has been absent or in limited scenes that could be filmed later and inserted into these episodes.

Something's just not gelling.  I think it's the cast.  For a group that's supposed to be a tight knit team, they just don't have a lot of chemistry together.  Forrester and Kellet kind of work in a low key way, but all the other relationships feel--lifeless?  forced?    Katrine had a good rapport with everyone but of course they ditched her.

S02•E09 - Wheelman

Scott’s absence has really changed the team dynamic. And now he’s being transferred to the Admin Division in Alabama??!

I miss Tank…😢

UC Raines isn’t as interesting as UC Vo regardless the case.

I thought Raines was believable as the wheelman until he suddenly became the tech expert too. To me, that would have been a big red flag if I were the ringleader. I would have immediately suspected that he was the mole.

Wow the timing on this one is impeccable. I don't think there is any reason to pull it, but have we heard that they might?

That was my first thought, too. However, since it appears Damar Hamlin is improving, I'm guessing this will air. But we'll see!

Good episode - good mystery of the week, one of their better cases of the season, it kept me guessing as to who was behind it. I just don’t get the Forrester being transferred storyline, I’m sure he’s not leaving the show and so what’s the point, Daindridge is a one note asshole. I was fine with the new agent and I wonder if she’s going to be a permanent addition.

For the first time tonight, I watched the three FBI offerings.  I know they've been on a while but I hadn't bothered to take a look.  Imagine my surprise when on FBI (plain) I see a detective and assistant DA from the L&O Mothership and a psychologist from Bones.  Then, on FBI International I spy a Bones squint and Ross Poldark's first love (who is a long way from Cornwall).

I was having a personal reunion with these guys.

Luke Kleintank (Finn Abernathy on Bones) plays the lead on FBI: International and has since its debut!

And John Boyd (Agent James Aubrey on Bones) joined Original FBI as Agent Stuart Scola in 2019, a year after the series began.

I enjoyed this episode - the case was very good, with good detective work in figuring things out, and I’m glad Forrester’s plot has been resolved. I had a feeling McKenna would turn out to be good. What the hell was Daindridge’s beef with Scott anyway? That’s the one thing about this plot that I never understood. Overall a good episode from start to finish, one of this show’s better outings.

I have had a love-hate relationship with Scott. It is no wonder at times I miss Jaeger. As really she was the only one that could outtalk him and called him out on his arrogance. She is missed but love Smitty as well.

Good riddance to Dandredge as he had no proof over in trying to get Scott out. Hope to never see him again. He is the one guy you want to hate. Wished Scott punched him out IMHO.

I never understood it either.  Either I totally missed it or they just never said what his beef was.  I’m just glad the storyline is over.

Catching up with the episodes... What is up with the constant uncooperative and/or incompetent and/or implied corrupt police forces throughout Europe? They're actually capable and they're not all corrupt and I'm sure they're also cooperative, especially in countries where they're stretched thin like in Germany. Not only is it getting repetitive but I also find it's getting annoying.

As is the storyline with a higher-up who has it out for an entire team or a member of a team. Do procedurals know that they don't all have to do it?
And since when does the FBI have a deputy commissioner? Aren't they all deputy directors and assistant directors? It's the police departments that have the commissioners. That's not even lazy writing anymore, that's not caring.

Really, now Smitty requested the assignment because of Forrester but not because she's still interested in him romantically but because he's such a good agent?

As far as the most recent episode, it was a decent case but how the wrote the language thing at the beginning makes little sense. Yes, "I don't understand" translates to "Ich verstehe nicht". But that is not a complete sentence and no German native speaker would say that. Also, "kidnap" is a word that's pretty well known even to non-English speakers and "Hilfe" is certainly a word everyone understands. And how could anyone interpret the action of Katy as waiting for someone? Even if you don't understand what she's saying, she was obviously scared and not waiting.

I like the show for its cases, more often than not they're pretty good with interesting twist and turns. But I think it could benefit from a new writers team or maybe new showrunners or both because more often than not, the writing itself feels like an afterthought. Like it's a side-gig for the writers and they're working full time on something else.

Yeah, me too. I like Scott per se but he's one of those characters who ask for trust but don't really offer it in return, they're always going on about being a team but tend to exclude the team themselves and they do things alone because only they are right and/or capable and they always get rewarded for it and I find those characters frustrating.
Like, in this most recent episode. It was absolutely stupid to go there without back-up and Scott should have been knocked unconscious and the kidnapper should have taken the girls and Scott should have paid for his actions. But, of course, because they needed to stick it to Dandridge (which I fully support), that couldn't happen, so Scott got rewarded not only for going at it alone but for being completely irresponsible and endangering his life and the life of the kidnap victims.

I don't mind lone wolf characters, I mind the ones who act like they have to be a lone wolf because no one else can do what they do. It makes them very unsympathetic.

Count me as another one who didn't understand this. Also, why do these shows love doing story arcs where some bureaucrat is trying to break up the team for some nefarious or ridiculous reason? Criminal Minds used to do it every few years it seems. Why can't these teams just do their work and like in real life, people eventually leave or promote out on their own accord? Why must it always be because some bureaucrat has it out for them?

This was a great episode, one of their best - it was awesome to see Jaeger again and get an insight into her past - and the case was very good as well, it was interesting seeing them track down the perp and get to the bottom of the case and it had some good twists. Nice to see everyone get a role and work to solve the case, and since Jaeger was my favorite in season 1 it was really nice to see her return. Really good episode.

I have mixed feelings about last week's episode. The episode was good, I thought the case itself was a bit too muddled. So, an Austrian citizen who worked for the Stasi approached a woman in West Berlin to accuse someone from the east of harassment? Did I get that right? What in the world does an Austrian have to do with the Stasi and why did they have to make it that complex? What purpose did that serve?
The resolution was a bridge too far for me; that was just too fantastic. I'm not saying the Stasi didn't have double agents but it was a much more straight-forward apparatus. There is the infamous case of a former ice skater spying on his fellow athletes and my granddad's partner told us last year that her best friend might have been spying on her. The Stasi didn't need a complex web of spies, they had enough leverage to use every-day people.

Plus, the Stasi files can be viewed. While they said that the Stasi did not want anyone to know who the director of this operation was, I'm sure that things recorded in the files would have added up and someone somewhere would have gotten suspicious over the years.

They still haven't brushed up on foreign laws either 😉 There were a few instances where I'm pretty sure they could get in a whole lot of trouble.

But I agree that it was nice to Jaeger again and the episode moved at a good pace and had a good balance of action and quieter scenes. And it looked very much like they were actually filming in Berlin. (And I have to give them credit for not playing Bavarian music, for not having someone run around in a Dirndl or Lederhosen and for not having someone ask for a Schnitzel. Thank you for that!)

If the murderer (Paul?) is tried in Germany, Raines doesn't have to worry. Germany is not exactly known for its harsh punishments. A life sentence usually means 15 years.

Tonight’s episode was good - I liked the case and it kept me guessing as to who was responsible for the murder - good storyline and case. I had the CEO pegged for it, I didn’t see the culprit coming. Good use of the whole team. I don’t care at all about Kellett’s relationship with the local officer, it’s just going to be more soapy drama.

I agree, it was a good case and who the murderer was wasn't obvious. It was a really nice and unexpected twist.

While I don't mind relationships, I'm not sure about the set-up. She broke his arm during a training session? Really? I thought for sure that she'd find out he'd faked it because he likes her at the end.
What was the point of the end and her visiting the girl? I mean, I get why she wanted to but what was the purpose of it for the story? What was that supposed to tell us? What was it supposed to do with regards to what she was musing about? How was it supposed to move the story anywhere? They may have cut a lot from the actual scene but I think they should have cut it altogether because that snippet made no real sense.

Can someone give a brief recap on what went on in the last 10-15 minutes of the episode - after they took the hood off the not agent? CBS Chicago kept cutting in with election coverage. We saw a little of the last scene with Kellett and Hungarian guy, but they cut off before they end of the scene.

This was a good episode - I liked the twist about the bomb threat being a plot to kidnap the DEA agent and it was an entertaining fast paced hour. I don’t care about Kellett’s romance with the local cop, that’s a boring personal subplot that will go nowhere.

The guy who they took the hoof off of gave them information that the agent was being transported to another location, and the team cut them off in their vehicles - the bad guys were shot and they rescued the agent who was reunited with his son.

S02•E014 - He Who Speaks Dies

I enjoyed this episode more than this week's FBI and FBIMW.

It's fun watching Vo and Andre kicking ass. The way Vo handled that fussy Karen and the interview of the blackmailed Air Marshall, it's so Vo. I never expect Andre to throw a bad guy over a balcony.

Not interested in Jamie's love story but it's good that she has moved on from Scott. I do wonder when she's gonna formally introduce Lt. Erdős as her BF to the team.

Enjoyable plot, and interesting to see how cold and snowy it can be in Morocco.

Of course the bomb plot discovery had to be timed perfectly to take place over Moroccan airspace. If they landed in Spain, there would be no episode.

May have had a love-hate relationship with Scott but miss him tonight.

The show has a meta-mystery: where is Scott Forrester and  is he getting five second scenes to keep him on the payroll?
I keep flashing back to the season opener where Forrester was doing some weird Rocky-style workout montage and reflecting on his estranged spy-Mom ... and then, nothing..

It was a decent episode but it could have been better without Special Agent Jamie going on a couple of righteous soapbox rants about "only caring about the truth" and a sacred "circle of trust".  Isn't this the same character that threw evidence in a river to help a young woman get away with murder and let that young woman's father go to prison for that murder?  And didn't she also have an affair with her superior officer (Scott) and they both lied and gaslighted everyone about it?
Get off your high horse, lady - - we have video evidence.

Ugh. So, Jamie ends a perfectly nice relationship with the Hungarian cop because "he didn't trust her". Pardon me, but a few dates and sleeping with someone once or twice is a nice start to something bigger. It's not necessarily the level of trust that he was dealing with. The man had discovered internal corruption, and was now on the run to prove his innocence and save his life. He didn't know who he could truly trust. He reached out to Jamie; why wasn't that enough?

But I guess the chip on Jamie's shoulder was too big. She blew up at Vo for taking her off the case (before she knew it was a ruse). But wouldn't it be expected for a cop to not be on the case when the guy she's dating is the main suspect?

Erdos seemed like a nice guy. Pity, Jamie and her tiny little circle of trust is moving on.

Scott is away again??!

I love seeing Vo in a boss mode and how supportive Andre is of her capability. Jamie seems a bit uncomfortable with it, no matter what she says.

Vo benching Jamie, I totally believe it girl! 😆

Don’t worry Lt. Erdos, it’s Jamie’s lost. You dodge a bullet.

The show keeps hinting about Vo developing some feelings towards Andre. The way she looks at him sometimes… 🤔

I missed Forrester in this episode, and Kellett was irritating, she had no business snapping at Vo for benching her, and she came off as self righteous the whole time. I did like seeing Vo in charge of the case. The case was fairly predictable.

I actually stopped watching when Vo confronted Jamie (the first time) because Vo's attitude towards Jamie annoyed me and I didn't want to be annoyed. I mean, she may have been lead for the case but Jamie is still the senior agent and I didn't think that Vo's attitude was in anyway justified or appropriate. Not only did I think it lacked respect and the benefit of the doubt but it also suggested that Vo doesn't trust Jamie, so, if I had been in Jamie's place, I would have suggested Vo apply for a transfer.

Lead on the case or not, would a junior agent like Vo really have the authority to remove a senior agent from a case? I doubt it. If Vo messed up, Jamie would still have to answer for it since she gave Vo the authority and would have made a wrong call.

I didn't like Vo or Jaime in this one.   Vo started off on the wrong foot by putting Jaime on the spot in front of the whole team.  She should have pulled Jaime aside and asked.  Then when Jaime's boyfriend became the prime suspect, she had a nasty edge toward Jaime from the jump.  "Are you sleeping with him?!"   It may be an appropriate question given the circumstances but the way she was talking to Jaime was uncalled for.   Jaime on the other hand should have backed off the minute he became a suspect, if not recused herself completely.  Seems like there would be rules about that anyway, not something left to the team lead's discretion.   But no, she's rummaging around her boyfriend's desk with just her boyfriend's partner there--two people with a vested interest in his guilt or innocence.  And then her BS when she dumped him. WTF?  They hadn't been dating that long and he was being framed.   When should he trust her completely?  He knew his partner longer than her and that's who was setting him up.   And he has no idea how she would view her professional responsibilities in a situation like this.  And as mentioned above, Jaime's helped a killer go free in the past, so she really needs to just STFU already.   The cute Hungarian cop really dodged two bullets.

Why is  FBI International so heavy on the interpersonal and personal drama?  Can’t we just have a nice procedural case of the week?   Scott and Jamie are both ethically challenged ( she tosses evidence, he warns his mom about a sting he helped set up).   Why should Jamie’s fledgling boyfriend trust her- he barely knows her).

What is Forrester's relationship with the 12 year old boy?  The one whose dad is being forced into crime.  I don't watch every week and I just can't figure out what the point of this relationship is.  Where did they meet?   I would be completely creeped out if I were the boy's dad.  Some foreign guy approaching me about my son outside of my workplace.  The way Forrester handled that was so strange.

Really like both Cameron and Raines as really both come off smart but likable. Give or take with Jamie. But Scott really got on my nerves tonight. He goes off on everybody and though he is trying to do his job. Still the guy acted like a self righteous prick. Acting like everybody owes him. Really someone should call him out on his arrogance. Wished that Jaeger was still here. As she really is not shy in calling him out on his arrogance.
