This season has some real WTF energy.

I am digging the idea that even intelligent well reasoned people can go deep down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories.    That is the nature of conspiracy theories.

An episode without Elias, which was kind of a relief, I think...although I'm not sure what to think about the rest of it, with the nonsense with Prentiss and her neighbour, the site being all about JJ, (God knows what she's looking at). Just...not sure. Maybe the rest of the season will make things look clearer, hopefully.

I know people love her, but I can't stand Penelope.  The actress is over 50, she should dress and act her age.   Love how Prentiss has the dignity to do som

Am with Luke on the BAU Gate. I’d rather be devastated by the truths than being lied to by someone I trust.

Emily continues to make ill-considered, questionable choices - not telling the team about BAU Gate, asking Luke not to tell JJ about her deep fake porn, losing control of Tyler, too trusting of Brian and dismissing him as kooky, overlooking the fact that those cops couldn’t get there that fast, placing down her weapon without asking the cops for their identification etc. How can she be this reckless? 🤦🏻‍♀️

When Rossi says he gets help from SWAT, does he mean they push him through the window? 😳

JJ is basically unrecognizable this season.  Does she ever smile anymore?   Prentiss seems to be losing it - and she  was always competent before.   Dave is way too old to be in the field. I’m sure he’s way past mandatory retirement age

Why has the BAU basically become babysitters to Elias’s wife?  Who cares that Elias wanted them to go get her.  That’s what the Marshall service does.

As to the moving day murders- the husband signing the HVAC form was clueless.  Renters don’t  pay for work the landlord ordered and therefore they don’t get the rebate or discount.

Yeah, on the one hand, this is in keeping with Emily's history of keeping big secrets from her teammates (Doyle, pretty much everything about her life and work pre-BAU, she faked her own death), and I can understand on some level that this would be a difficult thing to tell your team and so on...

...but on the other hand, someone makes deepfake porn of me and puts it online? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeah, I wuld VERY MUCH like to know that that exists so I can do something about it. And the fact it's JJ specifically...that tells me there's a particular reason Emily tried to shield her from knowing about this, and now I'm curious what that reason might be.

I dont blame Elias' wife for being upset, too. That family has been THROUGH it, they absolutely deserve a break. It's not often we follow a killer's family in the aftermath this deeply, so I am curious to see where else they'll go with that storyline.

I'm also still intrigued by the conspiracy theory angle. Bringing in Emily's neighbor is an odd wrench in the story, though, yes - and now he's accusing her of attacking him, I'm wondering how that'll pan out.

I liked the twist on the title of the episode, with the carbon monoxide bit. That part of things did feel a little more typical BAU case, even if the trigger was a little on the nose.

I don't mind them, either. I can buy this group being the sort that would swear more beyond what CBS would allow, and after everything they've been through, yeah, I think they've earned themselves a few blue streaks :p.

My comment doesn't pertain to specifically this episode, but to all 3 of them that I've watched so far.  Why is it so.damn.DARK all the time?  I'm not talking about the subject matter; I'm talking about the filming.  When I watch the trailers, the lighting is more normal, but every single episode has been so dark at times you can barely see the characters.  Even when they're outside during the day, it's like they're filming in a barely lit room.  Even in their offices.  Did the FBI forget to pay the electric company or something?  It's just awful.  I thought maybe it was my tv, but this is the only show that airs that way.  Every other Paramount show is just fine as are the shows on other streaming services.

I have a brand new TV and it's dark as hell. I feel like I need to adjust the brightness and contrast, but it screws up other shows when I do. So they are making a choice. An annoying, stupid choice.

I am so glad to hear it's not just me.  It is really annoying.  Even in scenes where it's broad daylight in the desert, it's still dark as hell.  The show is grim enough as it is; we don't need "mood" lighting to tell us the subject matter is dark.  We know.
