Sooo...Daytime Confidential is claiming that Bree Williamson (Jessica Brennan) is coming to GH:

As I said on the GH forum, I have very mixed feelings.  Bree Williamson is not without talent, though I was extremely over her and her fondness for Jessica's alters when OLTL came to a close.  But this character setup is a disaster, almost identical to what the show did with Michelle Stafford.  So yeah, I dunno.

Even with the horrid Ford crap she got stuck with on OLTL, I liked her.  Loved her with Brody.  Not GH.  Just no.  She's done nothing to deserve that sort of torture.

Ugh. I don't begrudge BW the job if doing another soap with a bunch of former co-stars is what she wants. Truly, I don't. But... every time I hear about another OLTL actor popping up on GH, it saddens me that  if only one ABC soap was going to survive it wasn't OLTL.

 

P.S. Jessica & Brody (and Ryder and Bree) are also living happily ever after. And Ryder most definitely has no Ford DNA whatsoever.

OMG, you are kidding me!  JPL was playing Philip Kiriakis?  I just had to look up to make sure that Jay Kenneth Johnson didn't die.  Ken Corday must have lost his mind.   They should have made him play it without the leg Philip lost in Iraq so that he wouldn't have any excuse to twirl around,.

Poor Philip. He was stolen from his mother's body as an embryo, lost his mother to kidnapping by fishing boat as a baby, lost his father to a stroke/coma as a child, got beaten beyond recognition by a bookie as a teenager, got caught in his parents' violent divorce (including his mother burning down the house and nearly killing his brother), lost his high school sweetheart to his nephew due to his father's machinations, got his leg blown off, found out that his beloved daughter was the product of his wife's affair but he didn't get to be mad because unconscioussmokeinhalationsex, got his face blown off...

And now this new indignity of being played by Rex Balsom?

By the by, if you're not a watcher, Bree Williamson debuted on "General Hospital" Monday.  She's...fine, I guess?  It's the character that's the problem.  She does look pretty good, though.  And I appreciated her being dressed like an adult since, the last few months of ABC OLTL, they had Jessica dressing like a teenybopper in weird off-the-shoulder tees and skinny jeans.

People, I had a weird Fringe/OLTL dream last night. An evil parallel-universe Fish seduced Kyle for...reasons, and Original Fish was sooo pissed. Just like Olivia and Fauxlivia and Peter. And oh my god, I didn't realize until I typed her name just now but, Olivia. Oliver. My brain is weird.
