Ruth is acting a little too condescending to Marty about the takeover, and I'm surprised she doesn't grasp the severity of the situation more. When she had the sitdown with Darlene and the Byrdes in the first half, she clearly was alarmed when they warned her. Darlene didn't take it seriously, and she got got. I can't imagine she hasn't considered Wendy would give her up for Javier. I also can't imagine the enforcer was so careless.

With everyone bagging on Wendy, I'm 100% for her wrecking e v e r y o n e. Hard. Absolutely calling the enforcer guy to get the job done was the correct decision though she underestimated Ruth. She's not wrong about replacing Omar. He was going to take the FBI deal before Mya went off rogue.

What a great scene with Camila, Wendy, and Marty.
Although Camila and Omar was probably better.

I also like everyone AGAIN telling Marty how to do his job. Bateman has such perfect low key delivery when everyone is tearing into him.

It does fit with the theme of how violence has worked on this show. Nobody has shown super SEAL skill sets, it is just the killers pull their weapons expectantly and get the kill fast.

I only saw a flash  and then with the women standing over the remains was too dark so I was asking myself was that really Nelson or just a mook?

I think Nelson was supposed to be a little more professional though. He's a hitman for a cartel. Getting the drop on him like that was a little much. I mean, just not seeing her at all. Shooting and missing because it was dark and rainy, ok.

Suspecting a sniper is covering your target's home at zero dark thirty does presume that the target is in a military outpost. This show has been all about walk up and shot someone in situations where the victim didn't even know he was about to get killed

Wait, who was that? I'm glad that she was able to defend herself.

I love that Ruth is all about telling the truth, just getting it over with, to help someone who is innocent, and to shit all over someone else's plans to ruin her, or manipulate her. Fuck Wendy, too. Getting everyone else killed, to protect herself, and her vision of her future? I do believe that she would tell the sister about Ruth, too. that's an easy one.

I thought the writing for this one was seriously flawed. Ruth knew full well that the casino was just a front for laundering the cartel's money. Does she really think they'd let her take over and stop laundering their money? They'd put a bullet through her head, just like they did to Wyatt and Darlene.

I've already pointed out the idiocy of Ruth just inheriting all of Darlene's money and properties without even having to go to court. Now the hitman is coming for . . . Rachel? WTF? The show is propping Ruth in a way that's absurd. She's turned into some kind of untouchable superhero.

I also find it hard to believe Wendy wouldn't throw Ruth under the bus and tell Camilla who killed Javi. Wendy doesn't care about Ruth and having her out of the way solves a big problem.

The show just feels like it has become overly enamored with Ruth. Realistically, as reckless as she is she should have been dead by now.

"I do too have a sense of humor ... asshole." Ha!  Only Ruth and Rachel being smug and annoying all episode could make me love Wendy for one second.

Ruth is annoying.  It's great she cleaned her record up and wants to run a legal business ... but then why target a casino she knows is used to launder drug cartel money?  When she should not in any way be putting herself on the cartel's radar?  Because pissing on the Byrdes is what is really important to her, and it's childish.  "It ain't personal" -- oh yes it is Ruth.  🙄

The Byrdes certainly messed up Rachel's life, but she made the decision to steal cartel money and become a drug addict with that money, and was grateful enough when Marty got Petty off her back and paid for her rehab.  In fact, she seemed happy to see him when she first came back ... but now she hates him so much she's willing to piss off a drug cartel?  Annoying.

The whole thing with Wendy checking herself into the mental health facility was odd, but I did find it refreshingly realistic that at first they were like, we don't have enough beds, go away.

The Omar / Camila scene was quite good.

Kind of embarrassing for old Nelson, getting taken out by Rachel of all people.  And who gave the order for Nelson to get Ruth and Rachel in the first place -- Wendy only told him to scare them, as far as we saw.

I just watched this.  There were a lot of issues.  I tried to ignore them for the sake of just getting through it.

Was there a Will by Darlene and Wyatt? If not, the law of intestate succession is applied. And, Ruth might inherit from Wyatt, but not Ruth, since she’s not a blood relative of Darlene. Isn’t there another cousin of Wyatt? He would also inherit, unless he renounces.  Usually, when spouses die near the same time and you can’t determine which died first, one spouse would not inherit from the other.  I suppose they could argue marital property, but they were just married that day, right?  So, her separate property stays separate. And, the child would inherit if legally related to Darlene, to be held in trust until age 18.  So, it’s rather complicated, but unless they had accounts set up as joint with right of survivorship or pay on demand, the process would be long, complex and Ruth wouldn’t get all they gave her on the show.

Why bury body under pool? One day, you may need work done or another owner digs it up.  Too risky.

Wendy is the height of narcissism.  I don’t think 30 years in prison would change her. Rotten to the core.

As I watch this show I keep wanting to swat mosquitoes!  That place looks invested.

All this Wendy angst about losing her children--it seems like the writers forgot that she was considering having Jonah arrested to prevent his causing problems with their work. There was even a moment when it seemed to me that she was willing to have him killed, or am I imagining that?
