Royal’s sons and granddaughter just aren’t that bright.  It’s frustrating.  
 

What does the guy expect someone to do about a prehistoric animal in a cave?  Lol That was a crazy question to the woman running for sheriff.  
 

I wish Royal would push Autumn into the hole. lol

That reminded me of an episode of the 1950's tv show Wagon Train where some mountain climbers holed up in a cave that had saber-tooth tigers. Maybe there are a lot of these legends in the Rockies. At least saber-tooths would be more size-appropriate for cave dwelling than mastodons.

Royal seems to be treating The Hole as some kind of temporal garbage disposal. 

Oops, it sent Trevor back. I was half expecting his belt buckle to clatter down on top of him. 

If the little girl was on or near the mountain when it vanished, why didn't she notice? I assume Trevor reappeared after that.
