I've watched this show from the start and I'm not sure I ever realized Dave had an actual job. I thought maybe he got money from the military. After typing that that out I know it doesn't make sense.

Now that you mentioned it I think I do kind of remember it being brought up on the episode where they tried to do that intervention in the barber shop awhile back.

Relaxers will fuck your hair up. (I’m surprised Tina uses one. We know she wears wigs; I just assumed she’d wear her natural hair underneath.) No surprise that Grover’s hair fell out.

Was that Tommy Davidson as the younger brother? The older one is a “hey, it’s that guy.”

They finally show us Dave working then they have him (probably) change jobs.  Do they have storylines in mind with him working with the VA? Otherwise, if they aren't going to have plots involving Dave's job, why bother having him switch jobs?

I liked that we got to see Dave at his job.  I also liked that we got to see that he's actually kind of good at his job.  Dave gets written as a goofy, socially inept bumbler so much of the time that you forget he's really a fully competent adult.  But I agree, unless they're going to wrap in his work at the VA, why have him change jobs?  Because it isn't just a change of employer, it is a change of career.

I loved Tina's advice:  Keep cold cuts and spray cheese in your fridge, and they're yours for life.

I love the relationship between the 3 “kids”.  Grover saying that he would ask Malcolm and Marty for clothing advice was cute; they are like the older brothers he needs.  They seem to get a kick out of their “little brother”, as well.

I think it’s so cute. They’re age-appropriate with him but don’t condescend.

Grover with Malcolm and Marty is the best use of Grover on this show.

I think the VA story could provide some interesting material. I can see them doing stories there, the way they occasionally do them at the garage, or the school Jemma works at.
