S16.E04: Cistern Wives

Watching Kody and Christine this season reminds me of watching Kody and Meri for the past eleventy years: the discomfort, the coldness. The difference is that we know Christine peaced on out of this bullshit. Good for her.

Now Kody is doing the same to Janelle. If Meri or Janelle leaves too, how will he get into heaven without taking a third wife? Not that I care - if he goes to the other place those ramen noodles would probably contort and vapourize like those black carbon snake experiments we lit on fire as kids.

You're absolutely right.  A little struggle and risk taking gives kids resilience and the ability to keep going, even after "failures."  Robin smothers her kids in overprotectiveness, which has caused at least a few of them to have anxiety.  I'm picturing the parenting style of Christine, who raised most of the kids, as warm, fun and open to more adventure.  Such a contrast of the two styles.

Kody wants this land for his own use some reason and  has bestowed the gatekeeper role to Janelle.
