I think its because of the ridiculousness of them.  Its second nature, right after discussing whatever story, and he/she/they/them has to read the note in the same breath.  Its so dumb.

Thank Goodness!  Somebody needed to.  Unfortunately it didn't stick. She was the worst i can ever remember.  So rude.  Maybe that's what got her through her stressful job.  Laugh once in a while Ms Rice.

I love seeing the costumes. I wish my family and friends wanted to get into it. :( But yeah once I see the costumes, I'm over the Halloween stuff. I prefer hot topics, a juicy interview, etc.

i could appreciate their costumes a lot more if they did it themselves, but they have an army of professionals to create their look, for which they take most of the credit.
