Shawn meets Destinie's wild side in Sin City; Quaylon faces a grilling from Shavel's mother; a desperate Maurice makes a risky move; John's news shocks his mother-in-law; a surprising phone call spoils Tyrice's plans for Chanda's release.

Let's face it, Shavel and Quaylon's mothers are some of the smartest people on the show this season. Unfortunately they have to deal with the chucklefucks they bore.  Will Kristianna's mother join them in having sense and explain to John he's a fool?

Most importantly, will Tyrice and his blue suit meet Chanda's kind, soulful, good liestener ass?

Destinee is an idiot. Any woman would be over the moon with that beautiful house and low IQ man to take care of her. She will NEVER find another sucker like Shawn again. No good man wants that trash. How bad of a woman was his ex with the six kids not to get that lifestyle? Dang to be a fly on the wall of what all Destinee promised Shawn while locked up.
He for real thought he was gonna set up house with HER? He did furnish her with a nice little nest egg. Probably nicer than she ever or WILL EVER have, and she immediately just wanted to party. And she looks exactly his age so she don’t need to be harping on how old he is. She is a HARD 27! If I were her, I certainly wouldn’t be telling people my age. Can’t turn a ho into a housewife. Duh Shawn.

Cry me a river Shavel! You're the one that has your daughter calling Quaylon Daddy. There was no reason for you to drag your daughter into this.

I'm fairly certain Maurice is not dumb enough to televise a Parole violation(?) Here's hoping!

John’s MIL with the COPD and the deadpan vocal delivery.  Oy vey.  Looks like they both ordered pork tenderloin and mashed potatoes with brown gravy at the sad Dubuque diner.  In the good part of town, not near that dad gummed halfway house.

I'm lmao right now reading all of the funny shit everyone has been saying about all the people on this show!! Omg there's so much to snark on I don't even know where to start! I didn't understand why Lindsey's mom and daughter drove all the way to sewn in lips house just for him to make a phone call that gave him zero information about her. Her poor daughter, I feel so bad for her missing her mom and having to grow up without her. I can't believe Lindsey would let herpes lips take her anywhere alone with him. She doesn't even know who he really is and what he can be capable of. That is horrible how she would let her daughter with any stranger that wants to take her ! I would never in a million years let any of my kids go with a stranger that I've never met. He does look super creepy. I get a weird vibe about him. I do agree with everyone that says Maurice is a cutie. I think he can do better than Jessica. I don't think she's attractive in any way. That dress when she was waiting for him looked horrible! She has these huge tree trunk legs, I don't get what he sees in her at all. Shawn reminds me of brain dead Clint from the other seasons. He doesn't seem to be that bright. I almost threw up in my mouth when he was saying he will " give it to her hard ". Yuck!! It was hilarious when John and his fake mother -in -law were eating at the restaurant and after every question he would answer she had this look on her face like WTF?? I don't think it will work out long term for any of them. That girl with Qualude, I forgot her name, she reminds me so much of Megan an even looks like her. She bugs me really bad like Megan did. She's so stupid throwing her daughter at him like that and they dont even know him that good. She's so desperate and her mom asking him if he's going to marry her the day he got out made it even worse! How can her little daughter love him as a father already and they never even met or spent time together.  It's all bullshit. That's messed up of her to do that to her daughter. None of the guys on here that bought clothes for their "soulmates" have any clue what sizes to get, let alone what looks good. I would want to go shopping for the clothes myself when I get out if I was one of them rather then wearing tacky,  ugly clothes then times too small. This show cracks me up. There's so much to make fun of.

When the little girl made a comment about Quaylon’s odor at first I was thinking it was BO although you would think he had showered at least once in the hotel room.  Maybe he didn’t shower again after their “three times” or maybe he hadn’t had a chance to purchase deodorant yet.  But then I was thinking maybe he reeked of weed from the car ride.  I could see where a kid would find that odor foul, especially if she hadn’t been exposed to it before.

I think Maurice's whole parole thing is fake. I think he was paroled to Las Vegas and all this other stuff about him going to Compton to live with cousins is fake. I'm also wondering if the scenes of him driving were filmed much later and then spliced into the beginning.

I don't like either one of them, but I'd rather give it to Destinie for the strippers than to Shawn.

1. I just found out a couple of days ago that a man I've known for over 10 years - a pastor and father of three - was arrested for child pornography and possible sexual abuse of children.  If my kids were still little, I would not let them go alone with ANYONE, ANYWHERE.

2. Maurice's entire attitude is worrisome.  He seems like he's not afraid of going back to jail.  What's important to Maurice is what Maurice wants and when he wants it.  Jessica could negatively affect her job, her home, and her relationship with her family by knowingly crossing state lines with someone on probation who has been told NOT to leave the state.  She wants someone to make her the center of his universe, but she has a man who is all wrapped up in being the center of that universe, with no apparent space available for anyone else.

Horrible human being that I am, I'm hoping he's left on the hook for $50K.

When I think about how even the $5000 required for the bond could have gone for his 6 kids, it just infuriates me.

I hope his dumb ass gets at least a 2nd-degree burn.

I was a little confused when he said he got a "promotion" and moved to Vegas.  It looks like he just works in a random garage rather than a chain that would "promote" from within the ranks.  I put too much thought into these chucklefucks' lives.

On another note, his friend and his wife seemed like they'd be fun to hang out with.  His friend Hector seems to have a really great sense of humor (of course, I guess that would be a prerequisite to hanging out with dim bulb Shawn).

I thought the opposite.  They were all folded neatly and stacked.  I thought it showed consideration...that she could look over the things--decide what she wanted to keep, and then put them away however she liked.   (Hi, AZChristian...my first time on "Lockup.")  Since he buys his kids' clothes at Goodwill-ish, I wonder if What'sHerName's clothes are "brand new."

The only reason I think it may be a rental rather than an AirBNB is it seems have very little furniture and it is mismatched.  I'm thinking Shawn schlepped in what little he owned and hit up Goodwill for some new things (Nothing wrong with thrift stores purchases but I think goddess2.0 believes she deserves better 🙄). I agree that the promotion story makes no sense.  He seemed to work at a small, local garage.  No shame in that  but where would a promotion requiring a move come from, unless they have another location in Nowhere, NV and he used to just clean the garage. Can you imagine him being promoted to supervisor? Would anyone trust him with anything financial? This is the guy who dipped into his 401K for a convict he hadn't met.  He may at least now be questioning his choices, but he's stuck with her o the tune of $50K.

Chanda pulled a Tony.  Choice between sex with my supposed beloved and food - where's that chicken?  Tyrice was dreaming of riding her from behind.  She was thinking a three piece with extra gravy on her mashed potatoes.

The Maurice parole storyline dumb.  If his parole is for the state of California, there’s nothing that says he has to live in certain area.  They could’ve rented a home in a more rural, suburban area similar to the Las Vegas suburbs.  But that would take thinking and planning and he and Jessica aren’t up to the task.  Jessica seems very fragile to me.  I don’t know if it’s drugs or something cognitive, but she’s got some issues that I’m guessing her family has dealt with for a while.

Can we talk about the piles of gravy mother Kristianna and John were consuming?!

I felt bad for Chanda after hearing her story.  Hopefully she can have a relationship with Tyrice instead of being just his sex doll.

Shawn deserves ever bit of whatever shitshow is coming from Destinie.  I’m here for the parasailing preferably with the Coach bag in tow.

It would be interesting to see someone on the show get out and have a relationship, but not immediately marry or move in with the person but still have a secret because the show.  I wonder if they’ll show the halfway house parts or just ffwd through that time.

I have OCD . . . had it been me, everything would have been on hangers or laid out neatly on the bed to make them easier to see.

Welcome to "Lockup"!  This forum is every bit as good as most of the places we snark around here.

If What'sHerName's clothes are brand new, he probably bought them at one of those "Everything is $5" stores.

Like most people on this show, he needs to get his priorities straight:  HIS 6 kids come before the paroled booty call with one hand out for cash and the other curled around a glass (or bottle) of booze.

Quaylon actually showed some good sense in saying he wanted to take it slow and figure out what to do next.  Of course Shavel is looking for an immediate father for her child.  She doesn't want to be a single mother.  Hmm, doing the math, her daughter exists and Shavel is unmarried, that makes her, wait, I have to work this out, carry the two and add in delusion . . . nope, she's still a single mother,

I keep seeing these comments about them buying their kids' clothes secondhand and the inference that they must have to. His baby mama was at a Plato's Closet, not a Goodwill, and that's a REALLY popular store. In my teens-mid 20s my friends and I preferred shopping there than anywhere else, and it wasn't a matter of affordability. Plato's isn't a place where you pay by the bag full. And it's not a donation store that will just accept anything. There were times.es when it was cheaper to shop a Macy's sale than at Plato's. I don't think they "have" to shop there, or secondhand at all, but even if they do then it's not like that's a bad thing. And there ARE six kids...It could also be one of the few stores that would allow a show called "Love After Lockup" to film in it.

I totally agree that Shawn shouldn't have spent all that money on Destinie when he has 6 kids to support. But I really don't like using the secondhand store as the example of how he cares less about them.

I AGREE!  If we don't know about his devoted baby mama of 22 years and the six kids, he seems like a hard-working innocent schlub we can feel sorry for.  After all, he's "just looking for love."  Instead, he's just another jerk.  He'll get a sad comeuppance.

Shawn being a shitty parent isn't about shopping at Plato's closet.  His poor choice is spending so much money chasing younger women, looking for love in prison, choosing someone base purely on physical attraction and building her into a great person in his head.  And when she messes up (and she will) he'll lose $50K that he does not have. He's in debt and adding to it for the dream that is Destinie.  I would say after a day with her, even dimbulb Shawn figured something out.

So does he only have to keep her close for two weeks to ensure he doesn't lose the $50,000?  That's when there's some kind of hearing she has to show up for, right?  If that's true, I hope he dumps her on the way out of the venue where the hearing will be held.

Have I lived by a philosophy of "Living well is the best revenge"?  Yep.  But I was not ever going to allow what happened to me to happen to my kids, to the best of my ability.  We can't be with them 100% of the time (unless we home school and not let them ever leave the house).

But to blithely turn your kid over to a man you've never met . . . NOPE!!!!

We have managed to "live" just fine. It has added zero inconvenience to our lives. For those of us who were molested as children there's nothing we wouldn't do to protect our kids to try and prevent it happening to them. No matter what people call us or think.

And there is a big difference in finding out that your husband/wife is an abuser down the road and allowing your underage daughter to be regularly alone with a man you, yourself, have never met-a man who found you in prison. In the context of this show I actually think Lindsey is a bigger threat to her daughter than Scott is, though.

We're not seeing a lot of these folks allowing their kids to be alone with the people they don't really know.  It's more about using their kids to rope someone in.    Flappy is very happy to dote on Lindsey's daughter.  He seems to really want a family since his son died.  It also seems that her grandmother stays close.  So Flappy is buying her clothes and school supplies and feeling like a provider.  Little does he realize Lindsey is not the innocent victim he imagines her to be.

I would be less concerned about molestation with these losers (whether cons or con-lovers) than I would be about their terrible life choices.  Can we imagine Destinie being a good mother?  She would train her kid to go to the liquor store 'cause mama needs her medicine.  Jessica is all about who will take care of Jessica. She would have a child to try to lock down a man then resent any attention given to that child.  Shavel is so desperate for a father for her child she doesn't care that he has never had an adult relationship. Kristianna chose John.  Whoever described him as the guy selling tooled leather goods at a fair is dead on.  He couldn't keep track of how many kids he has and how many times he's been married.  Maurice is showing an inability to think through the next five minutes.  Goldfish have better reasoning skills. Tyrice has adult children but he's chasing his youth by pursuing a girlfriend that is his son's age. If there was such a thing as bad decision making theater, these folks would fill the seasons playbills.   If Shawn and John are lucky their children's mothers are providing good guidance.  They certainly are not.

Having six kids with Shawn, and unmarried (not like you have to be to be a great family, but it seemed important to her, even though she kept having kids without it) doesn't exactly show Shawn's ex as having mad parenting skillz either.

I'm wondering how well he takes care of them financially when he has all of this excess money to send to Destinie in prison.

I'm assuming probably the bare minimum court-ordered amount so he has extra funds to send his inmate love.
