Greg hosts a meeting for the Westport Historical Guild to welcome back Stan, and Katie’s homemade lasagna is a huge hit with the guys. After Stan makes several trips back for seconds and begins spending an inordinate amount of time at the Otto house, Chloe Brown Mueller becomes convinced that Katie and Stan must be having an extra-marital affair. Meanwhile, Angela and Doris step in to help Oliver with his Teen Help Line interview.

This episode really worked for me. It was nice to see Trip show a glimmer of intelligence, and it was so funny when Katie said 10% of marriage is wondering what life would be like if you didn't have....pets. Been there sister!

Any episode where Chloe Brown Mueller appears is gold in my book, and this one was no different....I am happy Maria was included too, Chloe Brown Mueller's constant mistreatment of her is one of the funniest bits on the show.

A home food prep business isn't easy to set up - unless you do it under the table. I have a friend who had to add on a kitchen dedicated to his business. But that said, yeah, it's a TV show so maybe they won't worry about that.

$50 for a lasagna seems pretty pricey, but then again the client has money. I'm glad she found something to do to bring in some money.

I really enjoyed the scene with Oliver's "2 moms". It did kinda remind me of the current admissions scandal, though. Somehow it didn't seem like cheating to me, but maybe it's because I thought it was so funny.

I know, otherwise I'd be peddling my own lasagna since it's really that good. 😉

So few posts on this episode!  I find that strange, this was a great episode.  Given that only a couple of weeks ago I was complaining that I missed the show the way it was in its first two seasons, I'm happy about this and hope it continues in its present direction.  And I agree about Chloe's appearance and Trip's glimmer of intelligence being positive things.

BEST line of any show this week came from Oliver on coming from a dysfunctional lesbian home.  I couldn't stop laughing! 😂

Katie finding a new way to bring in money doing something she loves seemed way too easy. But it is a sitcom. For those of us who don't live in a sitcom tho, it's too easy and that's frustrating in the real world.

I thought it was adorable how eager Trip was to play the "Who Wore It Best?" game with Anna Kat. He was rocking those daisy earrings!

Timothy Omundson! He’s everywhere these days!!

I love him. I loved him on Psych and was crazy about him in Galavant. I'm thrilled to see more of him, especially since his stroke.

Loved this episode! Chloe Brown Mueller!  I'm not sure Katie will set up an official home business, maybe just sell specific foods made to order to those who know her. My mom made wedding and birthday cakes for friends and friends of friends without going thru the red tape of setting up a home business when I was a child, and my neighbor makes and sells fancy cupcakes for parties from her home to fellow moms in the neighborhood, but doesn't have an "official" business.  Of course I imagine legal issues may arise depending on state laws.

As for there being only a few comments, based on what I've read here for the first few episodes of this season, the majority of commenters are just here to criticize and complain about the show. I still enjoy it, some episodes more than others, but it's a sitcom, so it's not written to be super realistic. Granted I occasional will have a complaint or two when they really stretch believability, but I always try to find something positive about an episode or I wouldn't keep watching it (see Single Parents or Perfect harmony). I also enjoy Timothy Omundson. Did he have a stroke in real life? Off to google him!

He did!  They had him briefly in the Psych! movie due to it.  I believe they wanted him to be a more integral part but his health wasn't up to it.

If she doesn't do it officially it sets up for an interesting possibility of conflict with her and her nemesis.  Chloe could find out about her unlicensed status and use it against her.

I had to go google this too, after this was the second show in a month where he showed up with a cane and a stroke was mentioned.  I love him too, and had no idea he'd had the stroke.  I'd wondered why he wasn't in the Psych movie very much and why his character left this show so abruptly.  So glad he's back!  Love his character so far on This is Us too!

Would they really have allowed Taylor to give permission for Anna Kat to get her ears pierced? Yeah, she's 18, but she isn't the parent or guardian...

That said, I couldn't understand why it was such a big deal. Little girls getting their ears pierced is a pretty ho-hum thing these days.

That used to be a go to sitcom plot for several shows but you're right it's a ho hum thing these days. A lot of moms even get their infant daughter's ears pierced these days.
