  1. That was awesome!! Made up for the crap episodes they put us through up till now.
  2. If your insider is close to production I would like to know more about how Ashley was selected. Does the insider think Ashley fooled the experts, they selected her because they thought she would make good TV, the experts didn't really select her but the MAFS producers did . . . something else entirely?
  3. Regarding the water bill this may add some context - I'm in N TX and a lot of cities had subsidized water increases for years and then suddently stopped to fund infrastructure improvements. In my city my bill went up by 50% and in the news they reported some doubled. Not sure if this happened in Austin, but the timing would have been about right. That and a broken sprinkler head, which is not Deb's fault, would explain the increase. I get my bills by email about 4 days after the meter read. We've been talking a lot about Cate's body but Farrah's is more WTF to me. I think it's because she had so much work done so young. Things have shifted and she's gained weight and she looks very lumpy and weird to me. I think that's why she doesn't wear pants anymore. If she had jeans on you would immediately see she does not have a nice figure anymore. Her boobs have fallen and that combined with the lumpiness makes her body look like old lady to me.
  4. I think there might be some semantic differences with regards to Cate's anxiety attacks. Yes, panic attacks are hella intense and debilitating. I've heard anxiety attacks used the way Cate is, that the anxiety which may have been temporarily under control acts up and you are very on edge and overly nervous. I think Cate has anxiety and needs some real help from professionals. And, Tyler could help by saying "let's take Carly, I mean Nova, for a walk burn some nervous energy and get some endorphins going" rather than "your anxiety better not F up my Hawaii vacay". Y'all are on target about how awful Matt is and the shit he is pulling. Do you think Amber will wise up or actually go through with the wedding? Maci annoyed me with her we all need to go trick or treating as a family BS. Maci, you and Ryan are NOT family. Get over it. It is great when exes get along and can do things together and coparent smoothly, but they are never family.
  5. I'm glad Kim questioned Tyler about Nova being gone, but I wish she would have put 50% of that on Tyler. Even if Cate had some sort of depression he could say "you sleep in today, I'll take care of Nova". The fact that he basically does nothing for his child is appalling. Almost as appalling as the amount of second had smoke Nova is exposed to at Cate's mom's. That is scary and might be contributing to her so called 'hyper' behavior. Plus, on the aftershow I thought she said she is taking antidepressants and breastfeeding. Can you do that? I thought you couldn't breastfeed if you were taking any prescription meds. I did find it ironic that C&T get criticized for grandparents taking Nova 2 nights every week, when that is the virtually the same situation Maci had with B. I found it shocking that Maci complained in one ep that she wants some wends with B, and then in the next she complained about how the Vegas w-end was her first free w-end since Jayde was born. There has been the mudrun, Vegas and now the wedding so Maci gets a lot of breaks from being a mom. Someone asked about Maci's parents involvement. I do remember she said they had Jayde one time, maybe for the Vegas trip. I get the feeling they are happy to be grandparents, but don't want to be treated like a nanny with a standing job.
  6. I don't think Ashley is in it for the money. While I think she is immature and mean at times I think the "experts" completely failed her. Ashley told them that a type of look is so important to her that she doesn't consider other qualities in a potential mate. A good matchmaker would find her type that also has other good qualities in a mate. They would do the vetting part that she isn't doing. But the "experts" didn't do that. They completely ignored her type, the most important thing to her, and expect her to just get over it. While it may be shallow to have appearance be the most important quality in a mate, it is her choice and she made that clear to the "experts". I think Patti Stanger is awful, but she always asks the client who their celebrity crush is. She tries to understand the look and vibe the client wants in a mate and then builds on that. The "experts" should have anticipated Ashley shutting down if they didn't give her the one thing she says is most important. As others of you have said, the "experts" seem to solely rely on shared experiences which is just ridiculous. My parents are divorced and my three best friends over the past thirty years have parents that are married to their original partner. It's stupid to think that we wouldn't be able to relate, share and communicate with each other because we have had different experiences.
  7. I seriously wonder when Sam's THs were shot. She is dead in the eyes and monotone as she repeats how committed she is to the process and marriage. It's almost like they were shot after the 6 wks and she knew it was over, but production decided there wasn't enough footage. Kudos to those speculating Sam and Neil weren't living together at the "old" house. When she said this was her first time cooking for Neil I thought hmmmm, you would've made at least one meal for your roomate in that amount of time so I call BS. Will the "experts" finally admit their experiment is a failure given Sam said she was indifferent to her marriage weeks ago and Ashley flat out refuses to answer if she's just watching the clock wind down? David's blue shirt: I agree we see it too much, but it does make his eyes pop. He has very pretty eyes. Question for anyone who might know: Is it pronounced latKAHs or latKEYs? Wondering if it is like toMAYto or toMAHto or if Sam was right when she corrected Neil to say latKAH. I've heard it pronounced latKEY more than latKAH. Could it be regional? Either way, I love 'em!!
  8. I'm a little concerned about some of the stereotypes and blanket statements here like 'women need to be courted' and 'give a man the slightest show of affection and he will push for sex'. To be clear, I'm not calling anyone or a particular post out. But in multiple posts I've gotten the feeling that archaic and inappropriate stereotypes are being projected onto some of the contestants. Please bring back the snark and insightful posts about what we've actually seen on a heavily edited and staged show that barely falls into the realm of reality.
  9. I have a different definition of physical intimacy than some of you because I don't think David is pushing for physical intimacy at all. He seems focused on affection. He would be happy with hand holding, hugs or small kisses. He is not looking for sex. I don't think it is unreasonable at all to expect affection from his wife of three weeks knowing that in three more weeks they have to decide to stay together or break up. It is her responsibility to say, similar to Jaclyn last year, I'm not feeling it but let's get to know each other, try to become friends and see what happens. Ashley has not been open to that at all. I remember how stand offish she was throughout the wedding, but when David kissed her hand she thought it was charming. At that point I thought that she was open to seeing him as someone other than a guy she is forced to work with. But, then she slammed that door close and hasn't really even been open to being friends as evidenced by her not really wanting to talk to him or do things with him.
  10. Regarding Neil standing up for himself and needing to run, I imagine there is a lot of production manipulation here given how quickly they both moved past a pretty nasty argument. I can see production telling Neil he can't go home because the film crew can't come back later so he needs to go in and apologize; and production telling Sam she will come off terribly if she kicks him out and refuses to make it work. Her TH head was about how he totally deserved to be kicked out and then shortly thereafter she's all agreeable to moving somewhere new. Given the shitfest of last year I imagine production does a lot more interfering to make sure it looks like these matches have a good chance of working out.
  11. How is the wave changing in Ashley's favor? I don't follow the other sites. She's so awful I don't see how anyone can think well of her.
  12. If I were her I would be most worried about Ken's health.
  13. Yes!! Kevin was awesome as the host of that mess. Bring Kevin back! Bring Kevin back!
  14. My heart broke for Cate and her anxiety. I hope things improve for her with therapy. Farrah and Sophia, ugh. Y'all nailed it in your comments so nothing to add. Just ugh. I don't like Maci, but I side with her 99% when it comes to parenting Bentley. At a time when Ryan should have been doing his best to show he is respectful of the school schedule he was late. No wonder she had concerns about Bentley making it to school on time if he is in charge. Some kids get REALLY upset about being late to school because they get escorted to class and get in trouble with the teacher. LOL about Amber complaining about doing a better job on Leah's hair last week and this week she's lounging in bed allowing Leah to be filmed with some messed up hair.
  15. The link above said taping is already done. Have they said who will be on it? Just curious if it is really RHoD, or RHo Southlake / Frisco / Plano.
  16. When Neil told Sam he wanted a wife who was a BF and partner did she actually laugh at him? It looked like she was but trying to cover it up. That's really fucked up if she was. I also like Tres and Vanessa's friends. They were a pleasant change from the dreary pace of the show. I didn't realize David had such a good sense of humor. He's not my type, but he's a great guy and if one of my friends was dating him I would be thrilled for her.
  17. OMG, I am laughing so hard. Do you remember a show from the '80s called Small Wonder? It was about a little girl robot with long dark hair . . . who looked just like Ashley. Ashley is Small Wonder all grown up!!!!
  18. I thought it was funny Ashley refuses to hug David but was fine hugging Pepper. By now she has spent more time with David than Pepper so where is the "stranger danger do not hug" exclamations she loves to spout?
  19. Sam thinks she's nice but she just likes to pick on people. First it was Neil's manliness and when he called her out on that she picks on how he spends his money. Now she's setting him up for "real Neil" vs "camera Neil" BS. I wonder if Neil is basically passive like he said, but is becoming more passive around because of her moodiness and attacks. I can't believe the experts picked Ashley for this. She is only a year out of a failed 9 yr relationship where she never even lived with the guy and they think she is ready for marriage? NOT! I don't fault Tres for dating around. It sounds like he was willing to just let marriage happen whenever it felt right vs being on a mission to get married. He does seem to admire his aunts who raised him and recognize that he wants his own family.
  20. I voted she always knew because she was fully aware Brooks lied to her before about having pancreatic cancer in order to get her to leave Donn. Knowing Vicki she was probably flattered someone "loved" her enough to come up with such an elaborate scheme. I agree with the other poster that it doesn't make sense that she had no time to go to real doctor appointments, but could always make time for the Club Detox BS because there was something in it for her. I never want to see her on my TV again and I won't watch next season if she is on.
  21. I'm sure I'll take heat for this, but I thought Ashley deserved the win. I don't think she is the most talented, but her collection was the best. Sometimes someone who is "good" has a "great" day and I think that is what happened here. And it worked to her advantage because the entire runway was weak. I don't know if they need to give them a new mentor, more time or more money, but the last few years of this show have had disappointing finales. Please, fix the show. Poor Edmund, when that toilet paper bride dress went down the runway it was over for him. If he had nixed it or done it in a different color I think he could've won. I'm sure he's never played the TP bride dress at a shower so it is a real shame no one warned him. He is one of the most gracious and thoughtful designers this show has had and I hope he enjoys much success going forward. Kelly has great ideas, but needs so much editing. That green triangle dress with all the mesh looked like a naked lady with a fancy apron on. I get that she grew up without money so she used craft techniques to create fabrics she couldn't buy. But, all that effort to create so many triangle prints she could've easily bought was wasted effort. Someone should've advised her to buy better fabrics and spend her time on luxury details, not crafty ones. I really like that her fashions are fun, that has been missing on this show. I thought her styling was the best out of the four. Candice, who cares.
  22. Now I'm concerned. Y'all have been discussing sending Vicki casseroles and if you do please, please, please do not cover them with shiny plastic wrap. No one, absolutely NO ONE, wants to see Vicki's boobs reflected in a casserole on instagram. Thank you in advance.
  23. It seemed like Car F's father is fond of Marissa. Interesting that he seems to know one daughter's BF quite well, and yet hasn't met the "love" of the other. Perhaps Car F's strained family relationships are solely due to her own making. Sheesh, just when you think unmade bed Juliet can't look any worse she does. She was actually late putting together that abomidable snowman outfit of a white chunky knit tied around her waste?! Makes no sense.
  24. Let's not forget Vicki is from the midwest so there needs to be lots of crushed up potato chips on top!
