I just did a quick peek on tonight’s rerun, and Jeopardy is there.

I signed up for a free trial of YouTubeTV (mainly for the ESPN networks) which is supposed to include local ABC, so Monday I can check and see if Jeopardy’s there.

That's me too. I can still pull it in with an antenna, or a free trial of a streaming service (I refuse to pay to get something I'm already paying to get). But with the controversy of these episodes airing during the writers strike, maybe the universe is trying to tell me something.

I’ll try. Back then, it seemed that a category consisting of people’s names was considered the tough categories. You always had to give the full name of the person, not just the first OR last name they ask for today. So you couldn’t, for example, just say “Britney” for Spears or “Sylvester” for Stallone. You had to describe who the person was or give titles of their body of work, or whatnot. That took longer and I swear I remember celebs and contestants being afraid of those types of categories.

Remember when Dick Clark would talk about “the dreaded name category”? The way they do it nowadays makes it a lot easier.

That was okay for what turned out to be a one season series finale. Yes, there were seeds planted for season two, but nothing I can think of right now that left me in anguish about not seeing (except maybe everyone finding out Turner’s alive)

I wonder if the ending would have been different if they hadn’t gotten the late announced renewal.

At first glance yesterday I swear I thought LeBron was playing.

I always thought they didn’t, which is where the $2000 and $1000 consolation amounts come in, and should cover any short stays.

For FJ l first said Willa Cather. Then I said, no, the woman who wrote Anne Of Green Gables . But since I couldn’t think of who wrote that, I just stuck with Cather.

Maybe Fox decided to hold some for the fall to help fill the schedule due to the writers strike.
