  1. Welcome back, TAR! I enjoyed the start in the first country much better than that nonsense last season at their homes. The Scramble was an interesting shake-up. Is it all throughout the season? I missed that. I suppose that keeps the finish placements more random if they need to drive themselves. Though, I'll miss the Roadblocks and Detours. Good effort, Aastha and Nina. So far, no one's coming off as annoying to me.
  2. The 40th season started today, as stated by the first puzzle (I couldn't believe it took that long for someone to solve it). I'm glad to have new episodes back. Some things I noticed: New graphics. Still no live audience to be seen. That's disappointing. Pat was going up to the contestants and shaking hands this time. I don't like the night time background. I hope that's temporary. Did they explain what the XL wedge does? I might have missed it.
  3. If the charges here are true, I wonder what's going to happen to the show now. https://amp.tmz.com/2022/09/01/tiffany-haddish-aries-spears-sued-grooming-molestation-child-porn-videos/
  4. Today, I learned that people can order sex toys though DoorDash. Somehow, I still find that less off-putting than Gwyneth Paltrow taking a bite out of one of those candles she sells. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/b9uz/doordash-nobodys-business
  5. Everytime I see this Glad ad, I think the mom needs to have a talk with the son about the moldy sandwiches. I mean, does he not like the sandwiches he gets? Does he need a smaller sandwich because he couldn't finish it? Because, that's quite a bit of food going to waste.
  6. The story of the episode, "I'm Not Moving" is on tonight's episode of Who Do You Believe? on ABC. It's about the two neighbors in Detroit.
  7. Best Friend--Young Thug Best Friend--50 Cent feat. Olivia
  8. I have two current earworms. There's the current Target Summer ad. It's one of the few ads where I stopped to find the whole song. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/blOn/target-totally-summer-song-by-anthony-ramos I never heard this song before this H&M ad (a store at which I never shop). Now, it pops into my head every one in a while. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/b2YV/h-and-m-welcome-to-htel-hennes-song-by-baccara-featuring-gigi-hadid-and-jill-kortleve
  9. I wasn't sure if I should put this here or the Holiday Music thread. Mariah Carey is sued over 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' This is the song they claim Mariah copied: Yeah, no. The only similarity I see between the two is the title.
  10. Say So--PJ Morton ft. JoJo Say So--Doja Cat
  11. While I don't see them often, I do like the Progressive ads with the small owners off in their own fantasy world until they're snapped back into reality.
  12. The baby chick is adorable in this Reeses ad. However, I hate that it seems to have completely replaced the other Easter ad with the chocolate bunny and jar of peanut butter.
  13. Agreed. Musical artists of all ages have stage names of animals, food, spelling errors, etc. I'm not seeing the problem about an acronym. It's not like she goes by the whole phrase. Hopefully, the Grammys can move back to their previous scheduled spot next year.
  14. H.E.R. stands for Having Everything Revealed. Her real name is Gabriella Wilson.
  15. Way late to the thread. But, better late than never, I suppose. Congratulations to Kim an Penn. He was a little high-energy, but I liked their team. This TAR season had it's issues, but I was glad to see it completed. Here's to hoping when the next season airs, COVID will go down more, and the race can travel out to more nations.
  16. It's rare that I like a Liberty Mutual ad. But, I like this sequel. "So only you pay for what you..line?" "NEED."😆
  17. I like this Visa ad. My favorite part is the owl turning to look at the crowd.
  18. I don't think I saw a lot of Valentine ads this year. Maybe I just didn't notice. The Toyota Super Bowl ad was my favorite: The Coinbase ad was bizarre. (There where too many crypto ads for me, but that's for another discussion.) However, it did remind me of this:
  19. All three "safe drivers" in this Allstate ad bother me for different reasons. The volcano project: I never did a volcano for a science project, so maybe I don't understand. But, I thought you add the lava when you get to the destination. It looks like she's not too safe with it seeping out of the top. The mirror: Here's to hoping there's no potholes or speed bumps on the way to where they're going. The wedding cake: All that time, I'm thinking, "Does the baker not have a delivery van?" Every insect on the way there is getting lodged into that cake.
  20. It looks like Shenmue the Animation premieres on February 5.
  21. Me too. All those teams that didn't come back and TAR couldn't afford and extra NEL or "To be continued..." this season? Seriously? I'm not surprised Caro and Ray didn't return. The cracks were already starting to show in that relationship by the second episode. I feel bad for Michael and Moe. However, did they even read the belt story first on paper like Arun and Natalia? Akbar moaned and groaned about going on the mountain himself, but apparently he learned nothing if Sheri is doing another height-based task next episode.
  22. Arun and Natalia were growing on me as racers. But, maybe they'll be one of the returning teams. I agree with everyone else who were touched seeing Phil sending everyone home due to the pandemic.
  23. I like that one too. "This is going to get tens and tens of views."😄
  24. Welcome back TAR! I missed you so much! Shame about Michael and Moe. They seemed nice enough. I agree. I can't judge racers too harshly for struggling with manual transmissions. It's not like you can just go take driver's ed. lessons for it.
