  1. Part of me felt like that should have been the title of this episode. There were a lot of interesting challenges overshadowed by of the mass alliance and hand-holding in general. When Danny saw his mom covered in sweat and chugging water on the car challenge, why he didn't volunteer for the bubble soccer Roadblock is beyond me. Derek and Shelisa were one of the teams that I was rooting for the most, so it's a shame to see them out of the race. Maybe there should be some kind of rule where there can be only a certain number of teams at a time at certain Detours, in order to limit ways teams can help each other. The fingerprint Detour looked really interesting. I wanted at least one team to try it. I don't dislike Danny and Angie, but I won't be too disappointed if they get eliminated. Angie might feel the same way if she was willing eat a four hour penalty for that car track puzzle.
  2. I didn't dislike Kishori and Karishma, but the pressure of the race was bound to catch up with them. I'll also echo the sentiments about wanting to see the race wanting move on to legs outside Latin America.
  3. I agree that History is very important. However, the thing about history that it's being made everyday and all over the world. It's an ever expanding field, especially in entertainment. I doubt anyone would judge a Boomer for not being familiar with many musicians and actors from the early 1900s and back. I'm wondering if the Firefighters were at home slapping their foreheads realizing that they were one word away from solving that Detour. Michelle and Sean weren't the strongest team, but I liked them and hoped that they would've made it though a few more episodes. At least they had a memorable exit.
  4. Wow. I didn't dislike Anthony and Bailey. But, if they weren't last, it was going to be hard to watch them bumble through future episodes. If Sean is so afraid heights, how in the world did they get him up the first flight of stairs? There must have been some parts edited out, or his issue was just going down the stairs.
  5. Huh. Between this season and Survivor's current season, I'm good on the concept of several superfans on a single season. It's pretty obvious that superfan just doesn't automatically mean "great player." Chris and Mary were a nice team, but they weren't going to get far if Chris got tired this early into it. I hope that there are better challenges. It seemed like the navigation through the city in the heat was more the challenge in itself.
  6. There's something about these roses making out in this DoorDash ad that weirds me out for some reason:
  7. Glad to have TAR back! Part of me was a little disappointed that Maya and Rohan were eliminated on the first part of mega leg. However, if they were the team that refused to use a map on top of the car debacle, I suppose it was only a matter of time with them. Bring on the two new countries!
  8. I usually don't care for most of the tax ads I see. But, I like this TaxSlayer ad.
  9. Add me to the minority who has never considered cereal for dinner. I like cereal, and sometimes have it for breakfast. But, it's strictly a breakfast food or snack (Eggs, bacon, and pancakes are a different story). If I wanted a quick, low effort dinner, I'd sooner make a sandwich and have some fruit.
  10. For me, the fact that I didn't see any ads shilling cryptocurrency made this year's crop of Super Bowl ads a step up simply by that alone.
  11. Masterpiece--Atlantic Starr Masterpiece--Ruben Studdard Masterpiece--Jessie J
  12. That, plus all of the political ads until November.
  13. Is this what you're looking for? Ini Kamoze--Here Comes The Hotstepper.
  14. Lycoris Recoil Is Coming to Adult Swim's Toonami It begins January 24, 2024.
  15. I saw it too. Also, maybe it's just me, but it seems like a lot of holiday ads are using "The Best of My Love" in them.
  16. I saw the original Hershey's kiss bells ad two days ago. I wonder if they'll show the other version this year. I didn't mind it, but it definitely riled up others on here.
  17. Agreed. In fact, I don't even think I saw any ads for Halloween costumes this year. Just candy and horror themed movie marathon ads. I don't know if some new corporate heads are against the holiday or what.
  18. Demon Slayer's Mugen Train Arc is Coming to Toonami It begins November 11th.
  19. I'm wondering why Babbel felt the need to have both a live-action and an animated version of the same ad. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/1Qah/babbel-hotel-pierre-55-off https://www.ispot.tv/ad/1QJG/babbel-hotel-pierre-mary-anne-55-off
  20. The Writers Guild and the AMPTP have reached an agreement. https://deadline.com/2023/09/writers-strike-deal-wga-studios-1235551531/
  21. I just saw this Glade candle ad yesterday. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/5O59/glade-crisp-cranberry-champagne-glow-up-the-holidays I know it's too much to hope that the corporations could mostly wait until at least October for the Christmas ads. But, I still do.
  22. Every time I see this CDC PSA, I always wonder why poor Geri's responsible for the Thanksgiving cooking. Can't someone else in the family cook at their home? Maybe each person can bring a dish, potluck style. Why does all of the cooking fall on the frail family member with COPD?
  23. Vanna White Absent From ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Episodes Amid Contract Dispute The absence is due to illness, rather than the contract dispute.
  24. FLCL: Grunge premieres on September 9th.
  25. I'm not much of a sushi person. I also try not to judge how others enjoy what they eat. However, I can't see how ketchup on sushi could even taste remotely good. The look on the guy's face doesn't convince me that even he likes it much.
