  1. No, it wasn’t a swamp in the 50’s. It was the home of many happy retired couples. Not saying Cubans didn’t contribute to the culture, just as all immigrants have contributed to their communities. But the land of the gringos took in all Cuban immigrants without restriction. I consider gringo a slur that shouldn’t be used against a nation that extended Cuba preferential immigration treatment for many, many years.
  2. Gringo dinner? In any other HW show, that kind of slur would not be acceptable. It makes it even more insulting in that they all relocated to the land of the gringos. Alexia is off her rocker. I think she’s just vying desperately for screen time. The series started off well but it now has degenerated into fights, why should I apologize, and apologies. The food and scenery keeps me watching. They should have ended around the 10th episode. Sure Julia, Martina at 67 wants to adopt. They would not even be able to foster as their lives are not stable which fostered kids need. Julia cannot even manage her goat. Martina (before cancer) is traveling all the time.
  3. She's grown increasingly frantic recently, IMO. She must carry the camera with her everywhere. Given the failure of Business is Personal, and the (I assume) low ratings of Money Court, she's determined to keep herself in the public eye. The only way is social media, Tik Tok, Instagram stories, etc. Whether it be pasta sauce, GOOP, Prince Harry, the Kardashians, every type of makeup, she has an opinion. While walking on the beach, her supposedly relaxing place, she is filming something. Every trip to Miami, Italy, Arthur Ave in the Bronx, etc, must be documented, with Bryn by her side in most cases. It must be so tedious to be with her. Side note, I've noticed she doesn't seem to be hawking HSN products anymore. Has that venture gone south?
  4. I noticed that on one of her frantic cosmetic videos. The "cheekbone" was visibly moving up and down, mostly down. She's going overboard with the pictures of Bryn on her socials. It's excessive. Jason must be cringing.
  5. Kevin O’Leary was paid $15mil to be a spokesperson for the crypto company that went under. He invested $1mil. His judgement doesn’t impress me.
  6. Oh, it gets worse. (I’ve only watched 10 minutes of WWHL, but Jeff Lewis is having nothing to do with Bethenny.) He isn’t groveling and laughing at her non-jokes. She is getting edgy and doing a lot of fake laughing. So I scrolled through Instagram just now and Bethenny, sounding loud and shrill , says she thought the experience on WWHL was just normal because she’s so used to going into the lions’ den when she goes on shows. So she laughed afterwards thinking nothing of the events on the show (if you believe that I’ll sell you a bridge). Come to find out so many people around her, including Bryn and the rest of her ”team,” thought otherwise. She implied they were all annoyed and that WWHL was set up to attack her. Never one to skulk away, Bethenny has done a quick re-wives podcast to give her side of the story which means to retaliate of course and has already posted it. I’ll have to listen to that later. She’s trying to pretend it’s all normal, but you can tell she is seething. Also, guess she is not that busy if she has time for this crap. I love it. She will never accept criticism.
  7. I liked Cody and didn’t find him smug. I thought of him as a high energy, good spirited guy who was smarter than he appeared. I was disappointed in Jesse breaking his trust. I could not figure out how Jesse had gotten the idol back again from Cody until I read here about the knowledge is power advantage. Just hate these I need these million dollars for my family pronouncements, accompanied by tears. So does everybody else.
  8. Can't wait to watch this. I figured Jeff Lewis wouldn't take any crap from B.
  9. Kudos to Karla for co winning that water challenge. I don't like her personality. She seems very put out when things don't go as she requested. And I didn't like the way she questioned Sami about his vote. I remember way back when she made a snotty comment about Ryan going into the sea to fish when she was strategizing on the beach. I've liked Owen and Sami from the start, was sad to see Sami go. Jesse and Cody are fine; Cody in particular is always in good spirits and its fun to watch. Cassidy is a cipher to me. Gabler has been a cipher recently too, but he is on top of the game. I was a regular watcher for the first 12 or so years, then fell off, so I am frequently ignorant of all the advantages, tokens etc, now in the game. I don't like them. Having three people exempt from vote in final seven doesn't make sense to me, although I agree Survivor ended the challenge because of hypothermia not because they had outlasted the tide. It is odd that at this point in the game that I say oh any of the above mentioned will be fine as a winner.
  10. I was shocked that someone who was questioning the vaccine the other day admitted (Mention It All) to having had a consultation with a plastic surgeon. If she is at death's door with a waking BP sometimes of 60/40, she'd consider voluntary anesthetic? She said that the Botox injections in her jaw reduced bone in her face, and the skin on the cheek is saggy as a result. I agree that she looks absolutely dreadful lately, very haggard. One of her besties, a big time celebrity, told her she was very late to the plastic surgery game. 😂
  11. See I thought that Sami was the clever one in that relationship. He seemed to be a key player on both sides without exposing himself too overtly. But I don’t remember all the past scenes in the episodes that were boring. Sami is impressive for a 19 year old. However I think the editing hasn’t focused on him enough for him to be the winner.
  12. Wow, I'm sure there have been arrogant players on Survivor before, but I don't remember one as nasty as James. What I didn't understand was how he built up that power and control in the game to begin with. What a sore loser. I loved Ryan and would have kept him. I don't think he would have been a threat to win if he got to final three. He just seemed to go along to get along. I'm rooting for Sami or Owen. Sami is only 19 and played so far a very good strategic game IMO. I don't have a lot of love for Karla. I remember a comment she made once when Ryan was out fishing and she was strategizing. And she said something like he thinks we'll keep him if he feeds us (I'm paraphrasing). It was pretty patronizing. I like Cody too. They portrayed him as sort of a crazy renegade in the beginning, but he is a solid physical and strategic player. The James eviction was worth the whole series that has been pretty dull to date.
  13. I was shocked at Elizabeth Moss' fangirl gushing over every "revelation" that Bethenny made. Miss "female empowerment" Bethenny spent about twenty minutes reaffirming just how much of a lunatic Kelly was at Scary Island. B portrayed herself as a chook whose career might have been damaged by disparaging remarks Kelly made about her food. She can't let any criticism go, even if it is 15 years in the past. Yeah, it seems B produced the whole show by her convos with production staff re the other castmates and potential storylines. Podcast was deadly dull on both sides and had no revelations of note. No big Behind The Scenes secrets were imparted. I too noticed the cheezy commercials.
  14. Her last book "Business is Personal," tanked, and not for lack of promotional opportunities.
  15. I think she’s desperate for attention and Greenwich is very boring.
  16. I liked how kind Sami was to Noelle when she lost the netting phase of the comp. I like Sami in general. I like Cody too. I think he's a breath of fresh air. Gabler doesn't bother me at all and I was very impressed he won that challenge over Cody. Either the editing is terrible, or there are just too many twists and turns but at this point of the game I should know who everyone is, and I don't. Last week tribal council was so long and boring, I came very close, for the first time in my life to FF to the end to see who was voted out. I was a bit sorry to see Elie go, even though she was a bit too arrogant, because she did add personality (sorely lacking this year) to the show.
  17. Margoaux’ dream is designing slip dresses, yet she knows nothing about fabrics, designs, sourcing? She just had a vision, I guess. The final products were fairly unimpressive and the fabric was wrinkled. I like Anya and Victoria. I don’t even remember the others’ names. if it weren’t for the Paris cinematography, I would have stopped watching after two episodes.
  18. She threw out a feeler on IG asking if people would like her to do YouTube. I think the answer was NO because I haven't heard a word about it since. Can't she say all she needs to say on her podcast? Podcast is rarely mentioned anymore either. Again, the Roe v Wade decision has not been mentioned. I think she is quite afraid of alienating some of her fanbase. I believe her HSN made in China clothing line is somewhat successful, but it is nothing I would brag about. When she posts pics of herself at her various resorts, I do not see her wearing it. All designer, head to toe. I finally unsuscribed to her IG as I couldn't take the "Im the best mommy in the world" theme anymore.
  19. I noticed that "adopt a brother" ploy with Griffin Johnson and I thought it was bizarre. Bryn should have her own male and female friends at that age. I thought Bryn looked uncomfortable. And the "mommy camp" Bethenny organized for them (tasks and games for all with mommy in charge) was nuts.
  20. She's been flitting all over Europe in the trendy spots over the summer, Greece, Italian coast, Paris, and now St. Tropez (accompanied by a commercial for her Rose, Forever Young (so maybe a business trip deduction). Meanwhile on the day Roe was overturned she said the issue was too complicated (it is?) to make any kind of statement on it and she'd devote a podcast to it at some later date. Meanwhile Jill on IG made a powerfully strong statement saying she had had an abortion and was against this ruling and gave links to abortion information sites.
  21. I agree. They both are now in Paris together. B scheduled a 5 hour cruise on the Seine from 8PM to 1AM. Then they both decided they didn't want to do it so off they went to a fancy restaurant where they scheduled a private room to eat and chill. Is the daughter ever with friends or in a group of her peers? Seems unhealthy to me, but we only know that part of Bryn's life that B puts on IG.
  22. I wonder where all her friends are from her glory days with Medley. Dropped her from t hat circle as soon as they could. Let's not forget who she replaced Medley with, John the dry cleaner. He is looking good in retrospect to have put up with her.
  23. Fallon is NBC which is Peacock which shows Ultimate Girls Trip. I can't think of any other reason. Dorinda is insufferable. She's trying to hang on to that status Medley gave her, but her low class behavior betrays all.
  24. This morning, in her “I am a great mother” series, she complains how it’s her last day in Miami and how exhausting filming 18 hour days have been. Then she HAS to take Bryn on an adventure and then out to eat. Exhausting, but worth it, she says. I think Jason might like a week here and there. Just a suggestion.
