On the contrary , I think the Blackhood story totally derailed when the focus shifted to Betty, with the weird stalking and the tame reveal at the end. It was enjoyable with the whole red circle and Archie spiraling but it was unsettling when they shifted to Betty and it showed with the majority opinion that the BH sl crashed spectacularly. As far as carrying the show, I think that was some of the best acting that we have seen in the show, period, especially the first episode. Whenever given the material, KJ has shone through. The difference in acting talent manifests itself quite clearly when we have Cole sprouse and KJ Apa acting with each other. In this recent episode, the simple stare down at each other towards the end showed the big gap acting wise with KJ being clearly able to sell that scene and Cole couldn't at all. Its just that the writers have a weird boner for the Betty character trying to give all the main sl to her. And it hasn't done the Betty character anything good.

Apa is 5'11''. He was with a modeling agency so the stats are out there. Besides, he's half Samoan and Samoans are built quite differently. Apa shouldn't be compared to normal Caucasian standards.

I think its been just 7 episodes so it would be jumping the gun to say that a lead is boring or not. The majority of the online complaint has been that Archie has been isolated from the mystery storyline. Its going to change in the second half of the season. Archie will be integrated into the Jason murder case and will be getting some darker shades. Regarding being the lead of the show or not, its an ensemble show but if anyone qualifies as being the lead it is Archie. He is connected to all the major storylines and major characters in the show which cannot be said about the others. Music is an important part of the show and Archie will be at the forefront apart from the pussycats. Sports will be an important part of the show and Archie will share the spotlight there with Reggy and moose. Any mystery that will be will be upcoming will involve the core four since the major feedback that Greg Berlanti had given after watching the first few episodes was that the whole gang should be involved. Roberto, the EP, has acknowledged it as one of the major takeaways that they are going to rectify/have rectified going forward. So, being connected to the major potential storylines and characters, makes Archie as the lead even if it is an ensemble show. Regarding acting, I don't see any major gulf between KJ Apa and the others. I think he is doing a good enough job. If anyone wants to see some ridiculous acting then just watch Mehcad Brooks on Supergirl, That is a bad actor even for CW standards. Kj Apa is good enough for CW and does play emotions well like the scene between Fred and him after the Grundy Fiasco. Everyone has their bad moments. For ex, what Cole Sprouse was trying to convey through his acting during the scene with his father outside the Sheriffs office, only god knows. That might have been the most cringe worthy moment of the show and was superby saved by the underrated but superb acting of Skeet Ulrich. Regarding looks, lets just say that a majority of the Fandom will say that KJ Apa is the hottest of the cast.

S01.E06: Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill!

I think removing Archie from the mystery for the first half of the season is a deliberate ploy. They are going to ease Archie into the mystery and main story in the second half of the season. We know that the mystery really unfolds from episode 9 onward with everyone getting involved and episodes 7 and 8 will mostly deal with the polly issue and the resultant family dynamics. The side story of Betty and Jughead sleuthing on their own is apparently over. Besides we have these tidbits that indicates that Archie will be involved in the mystery aspect. (Future episode spoilers) Regarding this episode The two different story lines that the show is following is not doing the show any favors. It feels like there are two different shows and its pretty jarring. Hopefully, this issue will be solved in the coming episodes. I also didn't like Josie's attitude. This character is simply abrasive. Her attitude towards her own friend and band mate, Valerie, didn't do the character any favor and I don't think she treats Melody any better just by looking at the reactions of Melody. Just because one is focused and ambitious doesn't give one the license to be so diva to one's own friends. I have no idea who the killer is. It may be anyone at this point of time. But I hope it will be a main character and not someone from the left field. I do believe that there are separate characters involved. The one who tortured him and the one who killed him may not necessarily be the same person. Polly doesn't seem to be a reliable narrator and came off as a bit unhinged. The sheriff need to up his game. He doesn't seem to be doing anything about the murder. he needs to be more actively involved. Archie and Valerie do have a nice connection but unfortunately it doesn't appear that it will last long. I do think that Betty and Jughead relationship will get stronger and stronger as the season progresses and maybe they will remain together at least for the first season. Achie and Veronica dynamic is being built up and it appears that the relationship will be developed gradually which I like. Archie's performance was nice and hopefully we will see the band being formed if not this season than by the next season. Overall a nice episode with more badly needed focus on pussycats. -
According to some news, the reason we don't see Reggie much in Season 1 is because the actor is working on another TV show "13 reasons why". Once that commitment comes to an end, Reggie will have a more prominent role in season 2.

I guess we can agree to disagree after all we are all biased towards characters depending on our own viewpoints and experiences.

I really don't get the hate that Archie is getting. He hasn't been given any substantial story line like the other characters have been give yet. And the actor, in my opinion, has been doing quite good with whatever the material he has been given. And no, he doesn't look 30 and has good chemistry with the rest of the casts. Is it because he is supposedly at the center of a love triangle? I like the show but i think the character development for all the male members have taken a backseat in the initial episodes. I hope it is corrected later on because it doesn't do the show any good. The worst thing about the show is Jughead's narration. Man, can be it more jarring.

I think people are being hard on the Archie character. The storyline with the teacher is clearly dragging the character down. Besides, his storyline with other characters hasn't really been explored enough. In this episode, his interaction with Jughead helped bring the character to life. Archie needs deeper character interactions and right now he's being boxed in this story with Grundy which is a gross story line anyways and a major slip by the producers. Hopefully, as the seasons progresses the character will be more fleshed out. Its clear that the producers are fleshing out the characters of Betty and Veronica at the beginning of the season with their mysterious pasts, unpredictable personalities and issues and friendships. I expect that as the season progresses, the Archie character will come into its own. It actually reminds me of the character "Major" on Izombie who started out as a "bland" character on Izombie but by the end of the season had become the favorite character for a substantial portion of the fandom along with being the one to get the most character development in the first season.

The 2x01 Episode is named "Out of Time". We can have a rough estimation that LOT will have 16 episodes in Season 2. From July 18 2016 to January 10 2017, there's 176 days and with each episode having approximately 11 days of shooting span it comes out to be 16 episodes. -
Fuck you, Arrow producers, especially Guggenheim, who seems to have a shine for Katie Cassidy for killing Sara. Fuck you to hell.
