  1. Maybe it’s half of a season, with more episodes a few months later? 🤔🤷‍♂️

    Joker (2019)

Aw, damn. I thought I was unique. I don't really scrutinize over stuff before watching a movie. On a scale of 0-10, with zero being the Frank Costanza approach, I'm usually about a 4.
  3. “Esther, that was one hell of an effort. Despite your loss, you exceeded expectations when your back was against the wall. And now we say farewell forever to you, mostly because you probably wouldn’t slice a bitch’s tendons like most of the people here. Kyle, you want to punch at least four people in the face. Expect your plane ticket in the mail for the next season.” Team UK continues to implode, as the promise of the US killing each other is put off for another week. Worse, Georgia and Cyclops Theo elect not to defect. Once again, there should be incentive to switch sides, because no one has done it yet. More drama, more bitterness, and more people wanting to drop Natalie into an active volcano. I also question why she’s there, but mostly because her “old” show (American Ninja Warrior) wasn’t based on competitors slagging one another. Midseason trailer! More drama! And it looks like Turbo gets so angry, half of the House has to hold him back. I knew he was too good to be true. He probably asked Jordan if he could kick the relics after this episode’s mission.
  4. Shotgunning cows shouldn’t have been funny. And yet it was. I guess getting them to form a cult and jump off a cliff would have stretched credibility. Is the goo man based on someone? I think There Will Be Blood, but I never watched that movie. Seriously, does the teacher have a name? Watching her on the verge of full-on Hasselhoff was hilarious. I had an Impossible Burger a few weeks ago. It tasted like a “normal” burger, which meant the goal was met. No, I do not eat shit. 😜 No episode next week. I’m guess we’ll get a Halloween episode on October 30. And maybe Matt & Trey will work in the epic dance on the stairs from Joker.
  5. Sorry about that. I’m not keeping track.
  6. Still not caring hard enough. I did get a kick out of Noura. I’m not sure what was funnier: Rob and Sandra channeling The Princess Bride. “You think she can succeed?” “It’ll take a miracle. GOOD LUCK, NOURA!” Noura’s tribe not only not letting her be the caller, but they tell her to sit out. And another player leaves with an idol. This doesn’t make Rob and Sandra look bad. They can deal out idols. They can’t make them play those. Ah, flashbacks. Once again, Survivor backs the bus over Erik some more. Then Rob brings up Lex. “See, I was persuasive enough for him and his tribe not to vote Am-bah, and he followed through in helping us. And that’s why I’m here and he’s pumping gas in Bumfuck, Michigan.” Yeah, I dunno what Lex actually does nowadays, but it seems like something Rob would say. Missy’s attitude might be justified, but there’s a part of me wanting Pashmina to outlast her just for the lulz. Dang, Jamal has odd-looking nipples. Or maybe it’s because he’s not built like someone Probst would slobber over. 🤷‍♂️

Anaheim = warm weather of Tampa Bay + competitiveness of the Cubs?
  8. @swanpride . . . the reason given was that a live-action movie is forever on the horizon, and it feels more "threat" than "promise." Anybody else follow Death Battle? The next match was announced . . . a battle of anime's greatest mental powerhouses . . .

ESPN: "Astros' Josh Reddick calls Yankees fans 'disrespectful' for throwing debris" Me: "Hello, Josh. First time in Yankee Stadium, I take it?" That's enough to want Houston to clinch the series in the Bronx. Also: what is the longest a pennant-winning team had to wait before Game 1 of the World Series? Like I said last night, the Astros and Yankees only played three games by the time the Nationals swept. And potential postponements might widen the gap.
  10. I think it looks like him. Here's the teaser . . . judge for yourself . . .
  11. From WatchMojo: Top 10 Anime That Will Ruin Your Life Eleven anime are listed. Of those, I've seen seven . . . eight if you count me reading the first few volumes of Cells at Work!. I haven't been near the top pick . . . and that might be a good thing.

Is this the first time the World Series will be coming to Washington since 1924? Wait, nope, TBS guy said 1933. The Senators got their only title in Washington in 1924. Meanwhile, the Yankees and Astros have only palyed three games so far. Seattle, right?
  13. Okay . . . so the final season of Arrow . . . the flagship series of the Arrowverse and the second-longest running geek show on the CW ending this season . . . is basically gonna be Sliders from now until the conclusion. Sure . . . why not? Ollie, Diggle, Laurel-2, and whatever schmucks they pick up along the way, ping-ponging through the multiverse. So that was Earth-2? Did anyone come out and say it directly? Interesting way to insert Oliver . . . I'm guessing the Monitor will be a pain in the ass about things. "You will be needed for the oncoming Crisis. First . . . we need to make people on this Earth think you survived Lian Yu." "Didn't that version of myself die on that Earth?" "Which will make things more fun. Also, it's an excuse to bring back John Barrowman. Do you not like him?" So . . . Laurel-2 is back and actually rocking the Chuck Dixon-era short-haired Black Canary look from Birds of Prey. Adrian Chase is The Hood. Tommy Merlyn is Dark Archer (because why not stick the whole salt shaker into Oliver's wounds?), and Diggle somehow made the trip to Earth-2. because Ollie needs his faithful companion. I do have to wonder if he throws up when traveling between Earths. I guess we'll find out next week. Apparently, Malcolm worked through his (first) wife's murder. Good for him. I was still waiting for him to put on the dark hat because I can't recall Barrowman ever playing a putz. Oh, and Team Future Arrow is still happening. I'm guessing it'll be for the inevitable episode where Mia and William meet Oliver. I can dig it. Does the future-set stuff make anyone else miss Legends of Tomorrow? I'm thinking a wall of antimatter was a better way to go than getting stabbed through the heart. And dang, you wouldn't have expected that to show up on Arrow first. Yeah, there was a bit of that with The Flash, but that was more of a vision.
  14. Visions of antimatter walls. Dang, Arrowverse folks are pulling out all the geeky stops. Well, Barry gets put through the emotional wringer, and it's only the second episode of the new season. No apparent hope for his future, and his father's double managed to find a lady on Earth-3 who is the double of Barry's mom. Anyone else figure Barry still needs therapy? B-plot? The "Frost learns how to live" storyline might wear out its welcome. The new girl seems interesting, and her powerset makes me think of a DC C-list hero. But she doesn't look as dorky. I'm still puzzled about the point of Cecile having powers, other than just for the sake of advancing a story. Is it like watching Dean and Sam taking turns dying for each other on Supernatural? Also, I'm thinking those two will have to fight at the end of COIE to see who makes the ultimate sacrifice, while Red Skull stands back and munches on popcorn.
  15. Oh, snap. Antimatter walls. So this is the superhero version of Sliders now?
  16. “Deathstroke”? Menacing. “Deathstrokes”? Not so much.
  17. CoIE finale: Ollie and Barry fighting to see who dies, while Red Skull watches and eats popcorn?
  18. Perhaps a live post thread could be set up for another series. 🤷‍♂️
  19. Not her fault her teachers on this Earth sucked. 😜😜😜
  20. And I like how the early Chuck Dixon era Birds of Prey look has been translated.
  21. Took a while for me to find this poster I made in S1.
  22. Is that how Oliver escaped the first time?
