  1. I didn't find it on Netflix, but it is on Amazon Prime.
  2. For any fans of Dark, Black Spot ( a French series) is another good series on Netflix. It's not time-travel , but it has a supernatural element. It was kind of creepy, but I really got hooked. I must be drawn to darker series because I loved Bordertown, The Valhalla Murders. and The Woods. I'm currently watching Trapped on Amazon Prime which I started watching after a recommendation here, and am enjoying that quite a bit. Same with Missing, I watched after a recommendation here and really loved that series too. Even though I was getting confused because I was watching Batpiste on PBS at the same time. I kept mixing the stories up.
  3. This brings to mind a commercial during Demand On DirectTV where a woman is sitting there talking about her girls being with her forever, through good times and bad times yada yada. I'm always fooled into thinking she's talking about her friends, but nope, it's her breasts. HAHA It really was a toss-up as to who made the worst garment this week, but I would have kept Chelsea just for her positive energy and upbeat personality. I love her story; she deserves the chance. Victoria sucks all the energy out the room. Her garment was pretty bad and you just know that next week, she'll be back to making the same dress. She is pretty though, and pretty people seem to have a pass that many of us don't have. One positive thing about Victoria is that I know know where Moldova is because I had to look it up. It's east of Romania if anyone cares, and Romanian is their main language. 🙂
  4. When PR requires the designers to deconstruct garments to make fabric, they really should have made this a 2-day challenge. A lot of the "finished" garments looked HomeEc 101. I missed Karlie in the winning outfit because I turned the TV off after Tyler was offed. I'll have see if I can dig up a picture of it. Of the top 3, it was the one I thought was the winner not that it was anything special.
  5. Anyone who watches IDTV, knows that there are many cops, male and female, who care deeply about their victims (and their families), and their cases. The way that Karen and Grace are working chasing down leads is exactly what they do on a daily basis: watching security footage, exploring numerous leads, knocking on doors. I wasn't going to watch this series, but I got sucked in quickly. In fact, I'm not a binge-watcher at all, preferring to watch an epidsode at a time, but with this show, I've been watching two at at time. It's very well done.
  6. I had stopped watching Ponderosa videos a few seasons ago, but I'm so glad I caught this one. I had no idea Elizabeth was so awesome.
  7. Not only could Josh not walk in those shoes, he couldn't even stand correctly in them. He looked like he was going to tip over. If he set out to make himself look ridiculous then he did a bang-up job. Now if only Helen would get eliminated so I don't have to look at her ugly tattoos I'd be a happy camper. Speaking of Helen, I was surprised when she said she was making a fit and flare dress. To me fit and flare means fit at the top and flared at the waist. Wasn't her dress a mermaid style? Maybe she changed her design or maybe I don't know one dress from another which very well could be.
  8. I wonder if Noriella would have gotten a reduced sentence if she weren't so attractive. At times, I was almost sucked into believing her. I wondered if I would have been had she been a homely person. Regardless, of the abuse, there should be consequences for your actions. Six months of time served and 5 years probation seems to be very little for a cost of a life. I'm not convinced the murder would have happened without Noriella's help. For all of Dan's tough guy posturing, he did have someone else do all his dirty work. He was an abuser and a coward.
  9. It would be gender biases if Natalie were playing guitar and was told to lose it. The fiddle was up by her face and looked to be a big distraction while singing. That's all I noticed when she was playing/singing in rehearsal. I couldn't have told you if she had a good voice at that point. Blake had it right that her vocal got stronger without the fiddle. I would have chosen Natalie that battle, but I wonder if Adam is Blake's chosen country singer. I can see Blake pairing Adam and Red in the Knock-outs with Red being fodder. That's the only thing that makes sense in Red winning his battle.
  10. I love having two women coaches, but just by virtue of being female doesn't mean they can't be obnoxious which I definitely did find J-Hud to be. I did like her a lot on AI. Maybe she was just trying too hard on her first day, but I agree with those who want to dial it back a notch (or two). Also, someone can be both strong and be unpleasant which I did find Christina frequently to be. Great voice, though. I've watched every season of The Voice except the second season, but I feel almost worn out from it. I do wish it would go to once a year. No one is forcing me to watch, but for some reason, I'm compelled to watch like a bad habit I need to break. :)
  11. I just finished the first episode last night, and I really enjoyed it. Maybe because Marty's frugality reminds me of my husband. I had to laugh at some of the things that came out of his mouth because he was singing our family song. Anyway, despite the similarities to Breaking Bad (and let's face it, no show will really compare favorably with the original concept which was really a masterpiece of storytelling), Ozark has potential to be really good on its own merit. I'm looking forward to episode two.
  12. This show was like a really bad soap opera. That last scene was just ludicrous. If Home Fires, which I thought was a much better show, couldn't get renewed, I don't see how this one would.
  13. This totally reminded me of the Durells but without the charm and likeability of the characters. Not sure I like anyone except Ken Cosgrove which just makes me miss Mad Men. If we weren't constantly reminded that Emma is "smart", I'd think she was a little slow with that goofy grinning she does. That said, I'll still watch. There's always hope it might get better.
  14. I really enjoyed Sunday's episode. Maybe due to it being the Christmas episode, but it didn't have that dark, depressing feel that most of last season had. I do feel like the show is trying to hit us over the head with a sledgehammer in trying to make us like Amanda. I don't hate her as a character per se (even though she's the least interesting to me of all), but I really dislike her as Sidney's love interest. She has a child to think about now, and I'm not sure if running from one man to another is the right answer for her. Especially if the man she is running to will have to give up his vocation for her. I don't see that ending up well at all. I did enjoy seeing Anna Chancellor as Aunt CeCe, but she will forever be Caroline Bingley to me.
  15. I'm glad Sarah won. She really did play a good game, and took a lot of risks that could have done her in. I would also have been okay with Brad winning. I don't think he's evil or hiding his true personality. We all have a bit of douchery in us. It just needs the right buttons pushed to come out. I can see where Tai could be extremely frustrating. Should Brad have talked to him the way he did? No, but maybe he wouldn't have if he really had had that Snickers bar. Who knows how we'd handle situations when we're running on empty. Maybe Brad really is a grade A a-hole but so far I really haven't seen anything to condemn him for life. No excuse for the shirt/tie combo, or that stache either. Heh.
  16. I just headed to iTunes to buy Lauren's song. I don't remember the last The Voice song I purchased but it's been awhile since I've been moved to actually shell out cash for something I've heard on the show. :) Whether Lauren wins or not, I hope she gets a career out of this show. She also has Blake to help her. I'd be fine with either Lauren or Chris winning. Lauren has a beautiful instrument, and talent as a songwriter. Chris is a great entertainer. I don't think I would necessarily buy his music, but I would definitely go to his show.
  17. I like Hunter a lot. Different strokes. Mark was just cringe-worthy. I had to FF through half his performance. I think he might have done better to do that upcoming show looking for a new boy-band.
  18. The thread for Episode 5 isn't open yet, but this article has a lot of interesting information about the making of it. I found it amazing the attention to detail that went into the episode. http://deadline.com/2017/03/1963-academy-awards-ryan-murphy-feud-destroy-oscars-joan-crawford-bette-davis-1202057360/
  19. I totally forgot to read JP's Q&A with EW which I usually always did so I'm glad I had the reminder in the original post. Here it is: http://ew.com/tv/2017/03/16/survivor-jeff-probst-game-changers-tribe-swap/ From EW: EW: So, let’s get into the whole goat situation. I realize it’s difficult to answer this on a full stomach, but what would you have done in that situation: eaten the mommy goat or let her go? And how much would your vote have depended on how the other people were voting? Jeff: No question I couldn’t and wouldn’t kill either of the goats. I know it’s hypocritical given I’d be happy to eat one of the chickens. And I know it’s hypocritical given I’ll be having sushi tonight for dinner and steak later in the week. I am well aware that I am full of annoying contradictions, but in this case, it just didn’t seem fair. The only reason they caught the mom was because she was protecting the baby. It was an uneven playing field. But if the entire tribe wanted to kill the goat, then I would go along with it.
  20. Since this is Project Runway Junior, I wish one of the challenges was Prom couture instead of Milan Runway. That at least would be somewhat relevant to their lives. If a teenager doesn't know where Italy is, then I would have a few comments about the state of our education system that I'll keep to myself. I suggest a course in geography in college for the confused. :)
  21. I shouldn't be but I'm still not over the shock of Erin winning. If this were Project Runway: Bedazzler, I could see it but this is supposed to be a design show and the clothes with the least design won. AND Nobody looks good wearing a banana. Not.Ever.
  22. Looks like a partridge in a pear tree to me. Whatever it is, this is easily the ugliest Christmas garment I've ever seen, and believe me, there is a lot of competition in that area. I hope the final collections end up showing better than the 4 current looks did because that was just sad. I'll be okay with any winner except Erin who is more a crafter than a designer.
  23. OMG! David weighed 114 lb at the end of the game. His arms are like twigs. Yeah, I didn't watch Brett's video either.
  24. Billy's original was the first time I enjoyed one of his performances this season. Mostly, I was so underwhelmed that I totally forgot to vote. I remembered when I was already in bed, so I dragged myself out and voted for Sundance.
  25. I have had the sister pegged as the murderer since episode one. Of some reason, I took an instant dislike to her. For all its imperfection, I really enjoy this show. I don't think it does very well in the ratings so I doubt there will be a season 3 though I hope there is.
