  1. I'm also happy for Washington but USC made them look silly, so I'm sure Bama will make them look like they don't belong. USC and Penn State should be fun to watch. If Penn state didn't lose to Pitt they would have been the # 4 seed. Win the games you're supposed to win!
  2. I haven't gotten through Firehouse Christmas, but from I've watched I like enough. It's refreshing that the female lead is the firefighter, and her and her boyfriend are pretty good at communicating with eachother. What I could have done without is the over the top evilness of the ex wife and her dad. They are obnoxious and unwatchable.
  3. I'm on the boat of wanting Ginny and Mike as friends, but that last scene was hot. MPG has chemistry with everyone (watch him in 12 Dates of Christmas). I do like her better with Noah- he was sweet and wouldn't complicate things. Too bad this show is likely to be cancelled so we don't see what happens next season. I can't believe next week is the season finale! Mark Consuelos's character really grew on me. Same with Amelia. Too bad they made Will shady because he seems like a good brother to Ginny. I also still love the relationship between Blip and Evelyn- it's nice to see a non-toxic marriage being depicted on TV. I will miss all of these characters.
  4. Falling for Christmas so far is decent. I like the lead from Stop the Wedding, and I did like the actress okay enough in her Love By the Book movie on Hallmark but her mousy voice still grates. I'm going to stick it for the actor alone and hope it gets more interesting that I'm not surfing my phone the whole time.
  5. Christmas in Vermont was pleasant. Another big time city girl who finds the true meaning of Christmas in a quaint town. Not much happened in the story but for some reason it flew by. Hopefully Firehouse Christmas is just as pleasant- I tend to like Ion Christmas movies.
  6. Exactly. I don't watch Gilmore Girls to remind myself of all the social stuff going on at this time- for most of us it was an escape to a town that brought a lot of happy TV memories (and sad ones). I also wasn't bothered by the "lack of diversity" because it wasn't glaring to me- with Lane and Michel, and Berta and her family, plus an interracial couple with actual interracial children! I do agree that the Emily/Berta stereotype was a little annoying but with the way Emily was, I never felt it was out of character. There were definitely things that bothered me about the revival (eloquently stated in the above article), but it has room to grow. Hopefully ASP reads the critiques and does a better job with the second half.
  7. What a fun episode. Since I don't watch Arrow anymore it was nice to see the crew and not be annoyed by too much emo and bad storytelling. I always love Barry and Oliver's friendship, and Felicity and Cisco being computer nerds together. I also miss the Legends interacting with the other group (Ray and Cisco, Stein and Caitlyn). I especially loved that Barry got to react to Snart dying. Plus, Kara fit in so well with all of them. I hope we get another crossover the second half of the season. I really miss the Barry and Cisco bromance. Watching Cisco ice Barry out is sort of understandable, but at the same time I want to shake Cisco out of his funk so him and Barry can be friends again. I don't like that Iris is sheltering Wally (she should know that her keeping him from being a hero is going to make him rebel even more), but I did love her reaction to finding out that Oliver is Green Arrow.
  8. Seriously. Makes me hate Apple more than I already do. I don't want to read another article about that fucker Hannity singing Trump's praises and shaming the rest of us for hating Mango Mussolini. That guy is seriously deluded, and I can't seem to block those stupid Fox News articles from my feed.
  9. Will try to catch the Journey movie since you guys liked it- the commercials looked weird so I didn't tape it.

    S01.E03: Summer

I ffed the musical and this episode was still blah at times. Since when do Rory and Lorelai drag around poor kids to be their errand boys? I'm surprised with their snootiness they didn't hire help to pass out newspapers. Poor Rory, working for free and feeling sorry for herself since she's a mistress. Recycled storyline part two. I need to watch season one again to remind myself why I ever liked this hateful character. Of course Jess saved the day yet again with his scene. Why was there only one scene? And no scenes with Luke yet- I better get one in Fall! Plus, Milo is smoking hot. He looks good on This Is Us but he looks much better without the mustache. Lorelai and Michel were nice to see, and I don't like Lorelai not supporting Rory with the book. She really is selfish as well, but that tends to be a Gilmore trait. And of course the L/L scene that needed to be done in the first episode. Why do they keep hiding things from eachother! Why has no one besides Jess grown the fuck up!
  11. I also really enjoyed the Christmas List. I thought the leads had the same great chemistry they had in Christmas at Cartwrights, and it was a realistic storyline for once. After seeing how nuts the mom is, you can understand why she wanted to go through with her list.

    S01.E02: Spring

I liked this episode more than winter, probably because of all the town scenes. We got to see a town meeting, another weird festival and the black and white theater. I think I miss all the crazy town activities more than the self centered girls. Lorelai wasn't as grating, but Rory more than made up for it. It's bad recycled plots all over again. Rory being the "other woman" yet again? Check. Rory being an entitled brat when she doesn't get her own way (like when she didn't get that internship and then took the "lowly" paper job only to find out it was taken)? Check. Lorelai lying to Luke about something stupid? Check. Some growth would be nice. I do covet all of Lorelai's coats, and I'm not a coat person. I did love Paris's meltdown and seeing Chilton again. I was hoping Madeline and Louise would be there, or even that theater guy who was always harassed by Paris.
  13. You're a lot classier than your coach. I missed the game but saw highlights and his rant. They can still make it to a good bowl game this year.

    S01.E01: Winter

I don't know if it's because I'm older while watching the girls now but they seem extra self centered to me. Lorelai could have said one nice story about her father- I saw them sharing some nice scenes together in past seasons. She also could have let the poor chef cook for one damn day- aren't they losing money and customers by not having a full service kitchen? It seemed odd that Michel was the reasonable one. Dont get me started on Rory and her forgetting about her poor boyfriend while she's screwing her ex. As above posters have mentioned, she is even worse now than before. I did like her following Emily around after the funeral with a concerned look on her face, but that's it. I do love seeing the townspeople and Emily, of course. I also like that Lorelai and Luke are in comfort mode.
  15. I enjoyed Christmas in Homestead, mostly because I like both the leads and the girl as well (she was adorable in General Hospital). I have a soft spot for the actor ever since he was on Greek. The ex boyfriend was really annoying, but the other peripheral characters made up for it. I liked the little girl's relationship with the bodyguard, her best friend and his sister were also good characters. Another movie that I didn't delete.
  16. Brooklyn is on Christmas in Homestead right now (Hallmark movie). She's so adorable.
  17. They sort of had one called Summer In the City about a small town girl who did very well in New York. Of course it was void of Christmas and multicultural things but was nice to see.
  18. Olivia has gotten so unlikable that I want someone to punch her in her smug face everytime she is onscreen. She was the worst at the Thanksgiving dinner- why would Kevin bring someone so terrible to meet his family? Poor Randall- I felt for him when he found that letter. Rebecca should have told him when he turned 18 but she was probably scared to lose her son. I feel bad for both parties. I hope Beth doesn't get dragged in this, and William as well since he's probably going to die soon. He gives the best advice as well. I don't think Jack is shown as a Mary Sue. Rebecca mentioned in an earlier episode how parenting seemed to be easy for Jack- he was the creative one who entertained the kids. I am not looking forward to the flashback of him dying.
  19. We usually have it on in the background on Christmas when the kids are opening presents. Don't know why Hallmark isn't playing movies when there are people that are probably in the same boat as you- waiting to go somewhere.
  20. Kirinan, thanks for the heads up. I will probably have it on as background noise while doing some chores.
  21. I lasted 15 minutes with Broadcasting Christmas and got bored. Does it get more entertaining or should I delete it? I usually enjoy Melissa Joan Heart's TV movies but this one didn't catch my interest at all- no storyline and no chemistry. How disappointing.
  22. Finished the rest of Every Christmas has a Story, and so far it has been my favorite out of the bunch. I liked that the romance wasn't the main storyline, and also enjoyed the mystery of the tree and her reconnecting with her father. Definitely a keeper.
  23. Yay Qasim! I thought they had a moment last year so glad that the writers remembered it. I was hoping it was Reeves but him overly flirting with Bishop was definitely a red herring. I hope we see of both of those guys more- love the eye candy. I liked last night's episode- with Torres this season I feel as if there is definitely a lot more humor this season which I am liking a lot. Also, one of Bishop's brothers was the cutie in Bring It On and it doesn't look as if he's aged at all (he was a psychopath on Code Black so glad to see him back to normal).
  24. Christmas movies are being discussed in the Holiday thread- so far, some bad reviews of the movie but glad you liked it.
