I'm quite impressed with Penn! First for standing there so patiently and paying such close attention, and then for remembering all of those saints -- not only what they looked like, but the little fact, too.

We have a local restaurant called "Souvlaki". Also, souvlaki are delicious.

"Don't talk to the priest."

Read the damn clue! I feel like I say that every episode.
-
I wondered that, too.

I am getting so hungry just watching this. Dudebro, shut up.

Ha! Colorado extracurricular activities.

Can they eat their mistakes?

I like that all the clues are scattered in the trees.

Oof, that second game was painful. So much going backwards! And the first game had so many TS! I got both FJs, and the second was an instaget. TS I got were: Game 1: Old Man of the Mountain, iron, Pirates, CO2, Constitution, William Shatner, calyx, Cicero, Canary Islands, and statistics Game 2: magnolia, mortarboard, and something that looks like scale. I hate when I can't read my own writing.

Yay, more self-driving! And a stick shift!

Me, apparently! 😁

Yet again, I had no idea for FJ. I may be suffering from Jeopardy! burnout -- catching up from last night plus tonight's regular show and the college tournament. So much Jeopardy! But I was able to come up with the TS of Nicely, feathers, swans, and Raleigh. I will miss Dave and his mohawk, but the new champ is good, too. I was rooting for the woman, though.

Awwww, sad that the W&M girl didn't move on. At least she got to play in FJ, though. Raymond was a BEAST on that buzzer. Surprisingly, I got both FJs last night! And both were almost instagets. I almost said Schrodinger, but remembered the Uncertainty Principle in plenty of time. As for TS: Game 1: Biochemistry, and sedition/edition Game 2: Manhattan, mahalo, uvea, and carotid.

Catching up from last night. I also said White for FJ because of the style guide. Hemingway never occurred to me, and I have no specific recollection of ever having read any of his books. I did, however, read The Jungle in high school, which put me off hot dogs for a long time. I never have liked any kind of sausage. So I got The Jungle, the maze, solar plexus, and red blood cells. Catching up on the college tourney now.

We do not. 🙂 I prefer my pineapple to be ham-free.

Bad science.

No way am I scanning some random QR code bouncing around on my TV. That ad both confused and irritated me.

Here, too. I eat my pizza bones, unless I burn them when I reheat a slice. Yes, I use the oven to reheat pizza -- the microwave ruins the bones.

I would much rather a contestant stand with their arms crossed than lean on the podium.

I knew it was Lake Superior, and I knew it must be some place in Minnesota, but I couldn't come up with Duluth. I knew it wasn't Green Bay. Green Bay's on Lake Michigan. They wanted the biggest city on the biggest lake. I did manage the TS of Ring of Fire, Indian Ocean, oxbow lake, and Sanford.

I never watched The Sopranos, so I really didn't get the big deal about the Chevy one. I really liked the Rocket Mortgage ad with Barbie's Dream House.
-
I can’t help it. I love the Doritos commercial with the sloth and all the other animals.

Watching Puppy Bowl now. It seems like they've added so much extra stuff. Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg with some random sort-of agility course? Puppy cheerleaders? Kittens in a skybox, "watching" the action. I don't know. I liked it when we just watched puppies play for a couple of hours, with the kitten half-time show. The puppies are cute, though, and some of them are really feisty!

Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"
Browncoat replied to Betweenyouandme's topic in Everything Else
I live at the top of a blind hill, and backing out of my driveway is not practical even under the best of circumstances. In good weather, I can pull all the way in the driveway (it's about 40-50 yards long) and turn around, but if there's any significant snow, I park as close to the street as possible (less shoveling that way), but it also means I have to back in. Sometimes it takes me a couple of tries to get it right, which no doubt irritates the speeders who tailgate me, but I don't care. My peeve is that those people are speeding and tailgating me.
