  1. I believe that’s why Ed chose Danny in the first place. The second reason was because of his friendship with Danny’s father, and because for a moment, Danny put his butt on the line to save the space station. But mostly because Dani warned him and he’s not the friend to her we may have thought he was, and couldn’t respect her as a professional…
  2. Okeh, so someone knows/understands what’s going on in this show. I’m almost inclined to wait till the end of the season and then watch the rest, so I’m not hanging on thinking, “What’s the point of this again?” Maybe I’m just not bright enough to get it. I won’t yet say the show is crawling up it’s’ robot arse and dying. While the hosts can die in some fashion or other, since they found Bernard after thousands(?) of years just covered in dust and I assume Maeve will be no worse for wear after being under the sands, they obviously don’t decompose (and stink)…
  3. How do, you even get a drug stash on a Mars space station is my first thought. Ed, I’m feeling like I need to watch again to see if I missed where Ed ever was a competent officer and astronaut. When Danny was grounded one would think that would be the last word for Ed. Maybe space travel in their timeline is so commonplace that you would just assign a grounded officer who has been designated such by another ultra-experienced astronaut and veteran of several space missions. Absolutely when Danny stomped on the toy dog, he should have been sent to the ship orbiting Mars if that was an option otherwise the brig or he can be locked in his room, he can spank it to videos of Karen till it’s time to go back to Earth. BTW, isn’t there a doctor who could have told something wasn’t right with Danny, that drugs we missing from the pharmacy? Maybe the doctor was the woman who got crushed by the Soviet spacecraft…
  4. I’ve watched two long form Star Trek: TOS “tribute band” series on the YouTubes, so I’ve gotten used to at least two or three other actors playing Captain Kirk with varying degrees of Shatnering…
  5. I would take it as a moment of weakness, or the first and only time Captain Pike had decided he would try. He was ganna eff around and future him brought him a crystal from the Klingons so he could find out what would happen. So. The episode for me was the best of the series if not one of the top Star Trek episodes of all time. If there were any continuity issues, I wasn’t aware of them, the episode managed to weave together several themes/pieces of Star Trek series lore, Anson Mount does his typical great job as Captain Pike, and I felt Captain Kirk was ably represented. Production values of the battles and related starship effects had me saying “Wow…” several times. Shout out to the camera work when the Romulan captain is revealed to finally focus on Mr. Spock with the aul’ school music cue…
  6. Yo! The whole time Todd was running his yap, I'm looking at MM and how "swole" he is, knowing that Todd was sure to eventually have his mouth write a check he couldn't cash and was about to get laid out on the ground. Oh yeh, I was also looking at Todd's played out jacket...
  7. Someone on another site pointed out something I totally forgot. If the NASA ship is in trouble, Ed on his end and Karen on her end HAVE TO do something to make certain that Phoenix provides assistance. Their daughter Kelly is on the NASA ship <Duh duh dahhh!!!> Dev has no choice…
  8. Ah! More speculation. Karen may have to either convince Not!Musk to let him or have it put up to a vote...
  9. I have a feeling that Ed may have to do more than just drop off supplies if the NASA flight has been badly damaged by the Russian space flight. Not a spoiler below, but a theory... And nobody has anything to say about TONY CURRAN(!) being a member of the NASA crew???
  10. I got a real kick out of the little “Pope’s Pep Talk” at the end where he asked J to stay or he would find him, with the little punch on the shoulder (in lieu of a hug). Actually, I lol’ed…
  11. There’s no need to rig any explosives, just move the Captain’s chair closer to those panel consoles that are always exploding in random crew staffers faces…
  12. I was expecting the scene to play out exactly as it did, Homelander having not chosen a new member of The Seven whose super power was MBA. It was pointed out to me and I agree, plenty of people will stick with a job/company just to be close to power, however when the bosmang is as likely to laser you in half, or splatter you into a smudge on the wall for asking a pertinent question about corporate financial matters (as seen in this episode), if they do stay, they will stay under the radar or underachieving thereby undermining the increased revenues desired. I’d also like to thank my Lord and savior that the jerky-jerky man on the Crimson Countess Cam did not foul his camera with his ejaculate material…
  13. The prison visit with Liddy and his boys was hilarious talking about his nanny Frau Theresa, with the older one's face saying, "Hold on! Dad isn't bigging up Adolph Hitler?!!"
  14. I'm pretty sure the Georgia-Pacific building, Georgian Terrace Hotel and the Fox Theatre (The Mosque) are not in Jersey City though...
  15. “Man, money ain't got no owners, only spenders.” - - Omar Little (The Wire) Of the first two you mention I don’t know much about Mr Kord, likely so Mr. McDuck, they inherited their wealth. Tony Stark has several inventions/patents, Bruce Wayne has an entire R&D department helping to make money and no doubt all of their companies have extensive accounting departments and they probably all have personal accountants. One thing about Vought in my mind is that at this point, It seems very few employees are extremely competent and without Edgar to keep Homelander in line, who would stay when you have a high possibility of being lazed in two during one of Homelander’s tirades. Now is a good time to put in your resignation…
  16. Well, for all of Homelander’s claims that Vought “is for supers”, the fact of the matter is that Edgar keeps the place running, all the ducks in a row. Under the “don’t eff with the money” rule, the next member who joins The Seven better have MBA as their super power…
  17. I got the kick out of Ed’s(?) new wife trying to throw something at him and the object falling short due to the increasing gravity. All of that though, some Irwin Allen level disaster movie dominoes fall one after the other. Everyone in authority aware that something REALLY BAD is potentially about to happen (In SPACE!), but don’t alert the paying customers that their lives are in danger. Oh yes, surely things will work out for the best, the astronauts sent to do the repairs will certainly get ‘er done. Get people in position to possibly GTFO? Nah, party on! I’m with “PurpleTentacle”. If the writers/producers were ganna do something so hack, they could have taken the chance to clear out some older characters…
  18. For me she was over the top annoying. I will admit my family may have been unusual (I don’t think so), we’re an African American family, so traditional in that way, and while my 1970s-1980s youth had it’s restrictions, both my sister and I had way more leeway than Kamala Khan who was born sometime in the 2000s. The whole time I’m asking, “How old is this mother?!!” and it turns out she’s my age of 57. Admittedly, I’m not familiar with Pakistani immigrant culture, but I would have thought a more recent immigrant group would be more “modern” in outlook and behaviour. The mother seemed more like a trope of the immigrant parent from one to two generations ago. Someone pointed out the father kind of took a backseat to the mother and her wishes. Shout out to Camp Lehigh!!!
  19. Honestly, there ARE places like you see in “The Wire” and “We Own This City”, and I have been to two or three, one of the neighbourhoods is where a major member of the faith based initiative I work for is located. Even then, I have never been to any of the neighbourhoods depicted such as the high/low rises or those back alleys where there is always a dead body laid out. There’s wonderful hotels, an aquarium, a number of good museums an arts and music venue where you can see the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, lovely restaurants and you can walk amongst the locals at the waterfront…
  20. This may or may not be what you are looking for, but I found it interesting and would have wanted to see more of Captain April and have a story that delved more into his personal issues that seem to be plaguing him and the issues between him and his wife other than he did not seem to wish her put in danger... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAlGf5Wfe4g
  21. For one I would have preferred it had remained buried deep in favour of something more interesting…
  22. In my lifetime I have seen many crappy hours (45ish minutes) of teevee, but I have little doubt this episode was a singular piece of garbage. The entire episode I was vocalizing my disgust. Not a darned thing happened, and the mindscape BS was some straight up BS. I’m also sorry I confused James Callis with Alexander Siddig. That contributed more to my annoyance with the episode…
