  1. Reunion just finished, Did they even spend 3 minutes on Mike?!?!? He really was an epic player, Shakesperian? ;) He got shafted in the reunion show.
  2. This show is really running on fumes at this point. What a nothing and repetitive episode.
  3. To expand on that, the actual number of votes is 10,000,000 (!!!!). The quote from the article that refers to 500,000 is: "That large number–which many assumed to be 500,000 ballots, even though it’s actually 10 million–is indicating to some people that “casual” fans are in control. They’re the people who watch but don’t engage in the same way we do–and by “we,” I mean those of us who are obsessed with the show."
  4. Tyler mention Ned it on Twitter and elsewhere. I wish someone would ask he what he thought to gain by the lost underwear ruse, oh wait, screen time. This is the guy who in his CBS bio brags that he can charm anyone. What with his pants off?!?! His refusal to protect the eyes of the viewing public by not wearing a shirt was bad enough. As some one mentioned, he always had that stupid shirt draped over his shoulders - based in a Sierra comment, it seems he really sun burned his back. It makes me laugh because it seems obvious no one would put lotion on his back for him (who would want to touch that mess). Put on a shirt!!
  5. Dan Foley People Magazine Interview, May 15, 2015 "So what was your reaction when you were voted out? Were you angry at Carolyn? Look, anyone who walks out of the game with a smile on their face didn't play the game. I left that game with a fever of expletives. They didn't show it, but I was swearing and spitting and seething after my torch was snuffed. I was absolutely furious, calling Mike every name in the book. But I don't wish anyone ill will." How very "heroic" ... classic behavior for a hero. Jack ass! Sounds to me like he got a HUGE break on editiing -- we didn't see him blubering after being away from his wife for a week (all heros blubber right?), we didn't see him get insulted by his teammates when they pointed out truths about his abilities and now we learn we didn't get to see him having a vulgar meltdown. You should be thanking the editors for having pitty Cliff Claven.
  6. What is so funny about this is that he is not a Survivor fan at all, he is a fan of Dan being on Survivor. He watched 29 seasons and didn't pick up the most fundamental elements of good game play. You can just see him watching and thinking I would say this, I would do this. He was/is so rehearsed and had a "script" set in stone. Funny to see him STILL trying to sell the script ... 'If you look at this specific comment, episode you'll see what I am saying is right and if the scene or that wasn't cut you'd know how great and wonderful I am. The only cut scene I want to see is Tyler discovering than Dan lied about losing his underwear - a story line he tried to milk (for whatever asinine reason) for a full 3 episodes.
  7. So, the death threats" on Twitter are real and not hyperbole but wanting to slap Shirin is "just an expression" that people say all time?!?! He should appreciate that he has the diversion of his misogyny, without that, the only question he'd be getting is "why are you so fucking stupid?"
  8. "My word is my bond" Oh Dan, so both your word and your bond are worthless. Seems I heard something about "flippers never win". Leaving aside the fact that you'd eventually (and inevitably) have to "flip" on a member in an alliance of 6, you wasted no time in doubling down on Carolyn after lying to her face.
  9. Oh thank God!! (The editors sure had fun!) Scene: Dan walks into camp obviously holding two large melons. Dan: "I have good news and ...." Sierra. "Wow Dan. What have you got there?" Dan: " I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is *I* found this fruit and the bad news is *I* don't know what it is." ASS. Every single move, every single utterance a pure and absolute disaster. And yet "no regrets". Ugh!!!, Also, one of the puzzle pieces is an "N" with an apostrophe, there is also an "X", really, really, over 1 hour!?!?!?
  10. Thanks babyfoot and cooksdelight for head's up and the links. Landon's giggle was in full force (after each statement) and I especially liked her using the giggle as an answer at one point. 11. Meow, that got catty fast. Katherine was amazingly immature, Shep was a petulant bully, Cameran was sanctimonious busy body, Craig was an indiscreet cad, Landon is a moron who miscalculated the group's ability to play "grown" up, Whitney is a total and complete social retard and weirdo, Jen is a dim bulb and Cooper/JD & wife are fame whores. Trapping them together was like setting off a bomb for this group ... maybe that was the point ;)
  12. I thought Jeff's comment about Mike being a flirt was odd too. Then I remembered it was as Jeff so the focus would be on the men (exclusively) and figure that Jeff equates "flirting" as getting people to like you and be on your side, makes a little more sense that way. Jeff really is a bit of a buffoon, I'm still trying to work out his "jump the shark" comment and how he could possibly NOT know the correct meaning. It is funny now because it seems like a Freudian slip or a prophecy.
  13. "... but it would not surprise me if the winner of Season 30 became one of the favorite winners of all time." Jeff Probst Interview, Parade Magazine, February 23, 2015 http://parade.com/377745/joshwigler/jeff-probst-digs-deep-into-survivor-worlds-apart-the-30th-season-of-the-hit-reality-series/
  14. It took over an hour for me to slog through the videos. it seemed to me about half of them were gracious and appealing and the other half showed their true selves - for better or worse. Loved Keith's honesty and Keithness - I guess I spit too much and did dumb things. I got a contact high from watching Woo. I want to pummel Jeff (I was voted out by a loudmouth "chickk") and Brad who needs to "be on top" of the wife he loves more than himself. Kelly W. seemed to strike the right tone. Shirin came off terribly to me. I wish I could rescind my vote. Carolyn didn't come off any better. Mike's seemed really telling and lead me to think he doesn't make it to the finals. So many of the women are Hantz victims. Don't want to get too excited but Season 31 could be really fun.
  15. I love the saying that Greeks go to the polls to vote against a candidate, not for one. Along those lines there were 4, really don't want to see come back: Kass Max Brad Abi Maria Also, it was really hard to place some of these folks.
  16. Ack with this episode. I was so hoping for some excitement and came away empty handed - much like Roidney on his birthday. I feel like on other seasons, Carolyn's betrayal of Tyler would have been dramatic or, at least, would have made me go hmmmm. These people are all such mercenaries that I feel like I'm watching professional sports (minor league, of course). I enjoy this show because I appreciate the "reality" element and the unpredictability of human nature. It is a big surprise to me to realize how much I valued the human interactions. In that area the only interactions we've seen in this season are of such an ugly nature it just isn't engaging. No unlikely bonds this season and no real "characters". The few exciting tribals haven't made up for what a truly boring and torturous season this has been.
  17. I think Whitney is just a true misogynist. With a Mother like his, who could blame him?! It must have been a life of humilation with his Mother moving from one rich "mark" to the next and him being totally dependent on her. Whitney is not a Trust Funder, he is a Momma's Boy (I doubt any stepfather would have bankrolled him) and the resentment of his Mother shows in all of his interactions with women. Almost can't blame him for thinking all women are for sale - it is all he knows - that was definitely the vibe I was getting from the Fraulein he purchased. It also explains his hostility to Katherine who isn't giving Thomas his money's worth. Of course he sees his relationship with the German Famewhore as transactional (all he knows) and I've always suspected the "hook up" with Katherine was a casting couch session that did not include what Whitney so maturely shows with a hand/finger gesture but the other act with maximum submission and humiliation. I always get the sense of deep seated resentment and hate in Whitney's interactions with Patty and almost suspect he's trying to embarass (or expose) her with the spotlight of this show.
  18. Winston9-DT3 I didn't find an article where Jeff says "iconic" although vaguely recall that term in an article I read. In digging, I did come across Probst in TV guide and think many posters may be thinking of this article as one of Jeff's more effusive re the current cast -- He says: "This is the Best Overall Cast We've Ever Had" and "But person to person as a group, this is a really strong group and one of my favorite casts ever." Yikes! He did hedge about the winner as Winston points out but there isn't much backing away from this. Here is the link for the TV Guide article: http://www.tvguide.com/news/survivor-season-worlds-apart-jeff-probst-white-blue-no-collar/ PS -- You're welcome for the article forward.
  19. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but Shirin's interview with Reality TV World seems to indicate that Rodney doesn't make it to the finals: "Tyler still would've beaten him in the end." From the Interview: Reality TV World: Rodney also does really good impressions of Mike. (Laughs) Shirin Oskooi: Oh my God, his impressions of Mike, his impressions of the show doctor -- he did impressions of everybody. Even [survivor host Jeff Probst]. Oh my God. His Jeff impression. And, you know, in a season of a bunch of terrible people and a sea of awful people, humor goes such a long way. And no, I didn't realize how strategic he was at the time. I didn't realize he's the one who cobbled together the axes of evil. But once I was out of the game, it became much clearer that -- I was like, "Oh right, everyone wants to go to the end with Rodney and Will. Rodney controls Will's vote, so, Rodney is actually the most dangerous person out there right now." And now it's like, "Why didn't we see that?!" That said, Tyler still would've beaten him in the end. And so that's why I think, you know, we were trying to paint a real target on Tyler's back. Tyler is the biggest threat right now. He's not doing a whole lot strategically. He's just sitting there and looking pretty. However, doing that -- again, in a sea of ugly people -- to just sit there and not really say much, guess what? You're going to do pretty well. Link to full interview: http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/exclusive-shirin-oskooi-talks-survivor-worlds-apart-%28part-1%29-17850.php
  20. Here is the link to one of the articles where Jeff rhapsodizes about the Season 30 winner: http://parade.com/377745/joshwigler/jeff-probst-digs-deep-into-survivor-worlds-apart-the-30th-season-of-the-hit-reality-series/ Here is the text: You listed your Top Ten Survivor Winners of All Time. Obviously, it’s way too early for you to be specific, but where do you think this season’s winner will ultimately fit in the mix? When the dust settles on Worlds Apart, what kind of conversation are we having about the winner? Probst: I think you’re right, that it’s with an asterisk — we have to see how it all plays out — but it would not surprise me if the winner of Season 30 became one of the favorite winners of all time. I do think when this season is over, the audience will feel that whoever has won has absolutely earned it, and this is a very good season of Survivor played very hard by very good players. That’s why I like this group. They play. There is no monkeying around. There won’t be anyone saying, “Well, there wasn’t really any strategy this year…” No. There’s strategy from the get go. [Me: Shut up Probst!]
  21. Aiiiii there is a bonus clip with Disgusting Dan which is longer than any other (the editors must loath him) and is chock full of his usual crap and delusions: * His group won the award challenge because they were 3 men and only 1 woman, oh, and Carolyn sucks. * Reward trip was so great because of the "people" who were all great, including him. (Jackass, two of the three you were with voted for you the very next day). * Mike has relied on "luck" to win challenges. * He loves his "there is no Mike in team" line.
  22. Again with the hidden school yard pick!??! There is a lot of strategy/relationship insight to be gained from seeing that. Grrr, maybe give us a graphic before the commercial to show how it went down. Or maybe cut a minute of Dan's idiocy. Like four of the "six strong," I knew Mike was bluffing. While initially annoyed he didn't go for the sure thing (waiting till voting was done and actually giving Shirin the idol), I can't help get excited by the chaos he's sewn. Tyler vs. Dan .... My money is on Tyler all day.
  23. About that Ball ... What charity was the beneficiary of the proceeds? I haven't watched the Houswives in a long time but recall that they were always very specific about what organizations benefited from their "charity work". (Especially the NY ladies). While I can see the business development potential of the "Ball", I doubt Cooper actually hosted it. Something just seems soo off about it. Even Cameran was full of WTF. While unredeemable (and stupid), a charity element could have given some minor credibility and purpose. Don't like Cooper at all. I can easily picture him being driven out of Chelsea.
