  1. Is Sansa at Winterfell or at the Bolton's castle? As Sansa and Littlefinger looked down at the castle, he asked her if she'd ever been there before. She replied that they stopped there on her way to Kingslanding.
  2. So true, upping those billable hours is a hard habit to break.
  3. Your observations about meanness in this game (and society) certainly gives food for thought. However to compare commenters to contestants does't seem fair to me. These folks signed up for this experience knowing they'd be pushed to the edge and might be not able to hide the worst aspects of their personality AND absolutely knowing that their behavior/performance would be scrutinized by millions of people. This group can't even seem to fathom that the jury will be judging them and voting, let alone consider the feedbavk on their vile behavior from the audience. They volunteered for the ridicule they are getting.
  4. Agreed re Tyler, also I think he threw the challenge so he didn't draw attention to himself. He knew he didn't need the idol tonight. Shirin didn't deserve Will's awful smack down but did deserve everyone's thanks for laying out the best way to deal with the letter and avoid the bidding war.
  5. Wow! Tonight was a hell of an episode, Torn between being repulsed at Will's behavior and in awe of what good television it was. All 27 days of deprivation, exhaustion, etc. showed on each castaway tonight. Why oh why is imbicile Dan the lucky winner of extra power, worst case scenario ever. My only hope is that his arrogance will do him in and I like the odds on that. I was thinking it must have been a female camera woman who filmed his mansplaining about the extra vote because of the tone he used. Sierra???? Do we have any idea whatsoever why she is teaming up with Rodney and Dan?? I felt like I must of missed an episode because it was a foregone conclusion from the get that she was no longer with Mike, why?
  6. Patricia's pathetic scrapbooks, WTF?!?! If Whitney's only Smythson Scrapbook worthy achievements are *tabloid* photos of his beard, it is no surprise that she drinks they way she does. I'm imagining a young Patty flush in the victory of trapping her first meal ticket via her Whitney pregnancy buying the first scrapbook and dreaming of great achievements for her golden boy. God she must hate him, all that climbing for nothing.
  7. Yes, yes, yes. Dress code indeed and they also weren't schlepping their backpacks. I kind of love Monaco for that. Funny for them to be tooling around in evening wear during the day, I kept thinking the episode's title should have been "Walk of Shame", in the case of the women (at least) it is soooo what it looked like. I wonder if with regard to the "B" word that it wasn't spread by one person as they were lounging on the boat and it became the 'word of the day' for all.
  8. So much confusion for me tonight: If Jenn was such a threat last week why wasn't she even on the radar this week? Did Joe really not try to sway the other on the reward? Why can't Shirin follow directions? Editors seems to make a point of showing her being chastised by the zip line guy for not using her break. What the fuck is wrong with Dan?!?!?! Seriously. The editing seemed funny tonight at each challenge there weren't clear cuts and we had a few seconds of Jeff being "natural", it was strange. Also, WTF was up with a question at the challenge? We almost never see that. Best season ever?!?! Pft!
  9. It was great to see someone play the idol with such glee! The Blues are bunch of boneheads to not even consider that the other two idols had been found just because they didn't think anyone found one at their camp!?!?! Especially because these days there is so much paranoia about someone having idol, people just assume it has been found. What a stupid oversight on their part. Between Rodney just interupting Jeff and chiming in about his moronic reasoning about the idol not being in play and the fact that everyone thought there would be a bromance between him and Jouqin makes me think he must be a relentless attention whore. People who are not on his tribe seem to have a strong sense of him. I bet his is totally obnoxious at the challenges acting out with comments and attempted jokes, etc., etc. What a tool.
  10. wonald: I'm really getting the feeling that Dan has been down this road before with regard to his misogyny. It seems he has had either sensitivity training or some counseling to give him strategies for dealing with women. His interactions are just too contrived. The spouting of Men Mars/Women Venus platitudes (like a chapter/verse of a gospel he memorized), the somewhat smug "I know how to deal with women" (because I've been trained) and the way of speaking pointed out by wonald that seems like it was programmed into him (don't raise your voice to a woman, keep your tone neutral). Saddest thing is that while trained, the understanding is STILL lacking. Like he took in all this information and still doesn't understand the context. The extent of his delusions about having apologized to Sierra repeatedly and effectively makes makes me think he mind is a brick wall ... that I want to smack some sense into, with a big mallet.
  11. All of this plus, what the hell was up with the body language between Rodney and Joaquim while they were talking alone. Each with all this excess energy, swinging their arms and clapping and grinning?!?!? Haven't seen that type of behavior since Jr. High School. Bromance indeed.
  12. Seems Sierra just couldn't bring herself to align with Rodney, hope she enjoyed the confused look on his face and head bobbing while attempting to count to 3. I'm a bit annoyed they showed the merge in the previews and feel it is too early.
  13. So much yes to this. Also, it looks like they used, at least, three different sessions based on the # of costume changes - it was dizzying. She seems so achingly immature in all of them and awkward is the right word. I noticed in the yellow dress talking heads she looks/sounds/acts like she took a little something to help her get through. I mean to keep an eye out for them in upcomign episodes (after promissing myself I'd stop with this show!) to see if my theory holds up.
  14. Yes, yes, yes! And more to the point, if Patricia was any kind of "patrician" (which is how she tries to position herself) she would not be caught dead on this show. Anyone who is "anyone" in that town would have nothing to do with this. So many of the local articles prior to the first season's airing addressed this. Patricia strikes me as a sad little social climber who wasn't able to maintain the "status" she married into and as a result was driven from social circut she participated in with her husband and is now stuck drinking alone in Charleston vs. being a part of the NY/London crowd her late husband moved in. She has deluded herself that she was one of "them". The creepy son is just an embarrassment and while she tries to throw him under the bus commenting on his déclassé instincts, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The step father must have put his foot down about dragging him along with mama.
  15. I wondered about that too?!?!?! I'm from City Folk stock but remembered that FogHorn LegHorn had a red mohawk and he was a boy.
  16. Wow, that was a fun two hours. I am in awe at what a supreme dumbass Rodney is. He literally didn't even understand what he was saying about women holding themselves to a "higher standard" ... I'd bet a dollar that after macking on a woman at a club all night, pestering her, sending her drinks, trying to evoke sympathy with is wildly inappororite tattoo, etc. that when she inevitably holds herself to a high standard and shoots him down, he'd call her an ugly, fat, whore in the blink of an eye. Just mind blowing that he can't even consider that respect is a two way street. A man who relishes bragging about his 65 year old mutha as a sex object has a lot to learn. What an ass! And Dan, such a close second. What an idiot to beat his chest and go after Sierra the second they get back from TC. Like his big chance to lash out at every pretty girl who'd never give him the time of day. Leaving aside the idiocy of his life's philosophy re women, he is so insecure and such a baby that he can't even master a simple apology without whining about his feelings and being a big open pit of need. Please go soon and use whatever money you earn to buy yourself a clue and a drop of self awareness. The lopsided tribes are a real bummer (but a wet dream for Probst) ... I feel so sorry for thoses stuck with Shirine. That kind of an attention hog gets very old, very, very fast. Interesting that both idols ended up on the same team.
  17. While I find Rodney to be basically unintelligible, I did manage to catch him saying something along the lines of 'I don't take orders from anyone, that is why I work for myself.' Just another reminder of the stupid "collar" construct as defined by Survivor; white collar makes the rules, blue collar follows them. In reality, I imagine the ratio of blue collar workers who are their own boss would exceed white collar workers who are their own bosses.
  18. Vince really did end up doing himself in. He encouraged Nina to feel out Will about his "health" and seemed to revel in giving the "order". Nina seemed to be expressing genuine concern but it is hard to blame Will for being paranoid. Nina seemed so desperate to align with Vince and do his bidding that she either didn't realize how loaded questions about his "health" would seem or she didn't think ahead in putting the blame on Vince. Either way, she seems a bit clueless and far too sensitive (and honest?) for this game.
  19. Actually an assistant at a big talent agency is a pretty hardcore position. Think Lloyd on "Entorage". While he might not have been making "rules" he would have had to engage in some very high level decision making on a daily basis. And balancing/feeding the egos of Hollywood types must take some particular skills. I'm feeling optimistic about the three team set up and what we've seen from the players so far. While it is still early, this seems to have the potential to be a very enjoyable season.
  20. Zana looked trashed when she came out on the runway with the champagne. Yay for Dimitri.
  21. This was a pretty good season overall - although it did feel interminable. The low hanging fruit didn't hang on for too long, asshats got their comeuppance, contestants were respectful to each other (no attempted head shaving!) and LCK didn't have a horrible/questionable effect. Very nice to be able to root for both finalists. Mei had been more consistent throughout the season and, apparently, at the final challenge, congrats to her.
  22. I do recall Jessa mentioning something to Adam about his "friend" or his "girl" so Britta opening the door wasn't a huge surprise.
  23. When Michelle is on my screen, I see nothing but TinTin. She is a dead ringer.
  24. Jon really is a dim bulb and I'd hate to see him rewarded for it. He really didn't think the single step ahead with regard to Jeremy going to Exile and discovering the idol was gone. That it worked out for him this week and provided an excuse to get Jeremy gone (what he was so worried about last week when Jacqueline admonished him for thinking too far head) it will hopefully end up biting him (and horrible Missy & Baylor) in the ass. I'm sort of excited about the prospect of watching a bunch of horrible people turn on each other but worry too that somehow this bunch will make even that boring.
  25. While I do really dislike some of the returning contestants, something about this episode was like a breath of fresh air after the shit show we were just subjected to in Season 13. The one hour format is so much better and I felt we got the right balance of all the shows elements. The mentor actually "mentored", there wasn't manufactured drama and it was nice to have a new slate of judges. (Everyone involved in pushing the "best season ever" narrative for Season 13 have lost all credibility with me ... I'm looking at you Tim). Bye, bye Patricia - what a relief - but I might have been happier with horrible Michelle. It looked like a costume for an extra on the set of a caveman movie.
