I thought this episode was funny. The absurdity of it was hysterical. Best episode so far of the season. That said, it hasn’t been a great season.

I still don’t understand why they didn’t have Mitch die from Covid.

Damn, I saw it coming but didn’t make it any easier. It’s equally depressing and infuriating especially because it doesn’t seem like the Sacklers have paid for what they’ve done. Was Betsy always in withdrawal? I thought once she got clean that would go away. Does it really rewire your brain so you’re always in withdrawal? I was prescribed a few OxyContin in 2011 when I had severe migraines. It helped but thankfully I was able to just stop taking them and started on nortriptyline for migraine prevention. That has worked for me.

It’s uncanny how much she looks like her with the haircut. With her normal hair, less so.

The events are taking place in Feb 2020. I feel like Covid wasn’t taken seriously in the USA until March 11th or so. Maybe that explains why Alex wasn’t that worried.

I didn’t enjoy this episode at all. Why was Alex driving at night again? Didn’t she leave for the airport in the afternoon? Also why on earth wouldn’t they have Mitch die of Covid. That makes so much more sense.

Didn’t like this at all. Feels very different than season 1 and not in a good way. I canceled my subscription to Apple TV.

I was screaming for Theo to just leave the bakery and call the police! I really want someone to outsmart love and joe. I liked that Marianne’s ex was kind of doing that even though he’s not a character to root for. I wish they did more with Scott Speedman. I mean it’s Scott Speedman, use him!! I did a 180 on Cary and Sherry. I’m really rooting for them now when initially couldn’t stand them. How does Joe not see he’s in an ideal scenario with love. Two psychopaths who murder people.

I’m very uncomfortable with the Theo storyline. The actor looks like a high school student.

I was going to say the same thing. Very timely. I do think with Gabby though people are so interested because of the police cam footage and all of their social media. Her case is more vouyeristic than other missing persons cases. It’s like watching true crime in real time.

I guess I’m in the minority but I’m loving the Mitch storyline. I also don’t know if it’s because Steve Carrell is a great actor OR if he isn’t and my love of Michael Scott is getting in the way but I find Mitch very sympathetic. Alex not doing the debate was unrealistic. He canceling after just coming back doesn’t make sense to me. I hate how much Cory has changed as a character. I miss season 1 Cory. I really miss Claire. She was a great character.

Okay so I just realized I think he’s talking about COVID is Coming to America. I binged all of season 1 over the past week. Thought all of season 2 had already aired. I loved season 1 but I’m not enjoying this season at all. I know people had issue with Bradley last season but I didn’t and enjoyed her. Now I can’t stand her. Cory was awesome last season and now I’m not liking his character. I miss the Claire character. The vibe is totally different now. I’m disappointed.

Why did they bring in this random Eric person and not have Daniel as Alex’s replacement? That created a continuity issue for me. We also see a scene of Daniel still there and based on last season there’s no way he’d have stayed if he was overlooked yet again. I’m guessing they just decided to use Reese’s real hair instead of dealing with those terrible wigs. I was sad to see that Claire and Yanko split again. I thought after the finale, she’d have gone back to him. I hope we get flashbacks of Fred being fired. He was so despicable I need to see that! And I hope we get to see Steve Carrell again at some point. Also everyone called it when they said Hannah’s family would file a lawsuit against the network.

Am I the only one who ships Jamie & Keely? Don’t get me wrong, I adore Roy but Jamie showed such incredible character development from the pilot. I’ve loved his journey and really love the actor.

I spent this entire episode thinking Beard had killed himself. What with Ted sharing that’s how his dad died and one of beard’s hallucinations said he’d fail at killing himself, the foreshadowing was really strong. Also I knew that the next episode title mentions funeral. I was shocked that it he was alive at the end. I didn’t enjoy this episode. And I’m not enjoying this season either. I was looking for more of a Schitts creek replacement. Great storytelling and character development but still light, happy and feel-good vibes. This isn’t doing it for me which is disappointing because I loved season one.

I loved Juno Temple in afternoon delight where she played a stripper & prostitute.

It’s hard to believe that Rebecca wouldn’t be completely turned off by the age difference. I’m 42 and recently met a guy who was 21 and I just couldn’t fathom hooking up with him. They’re like kids at that age!!!!

Okay I feel like the Grinch but this episode felt off to me. I’m sad to say but they seem to be hitting a sophomore slump!

Did anyone else cry a lot!?

Woah so many comments that have nothing to do with the episode!! I am enjoying this show a lot. I like Nicole Kidman in it. Bobby Cannavale was incredible in that scene!

Omg what retreat was this? There’s a lot of cult like retreats that prey on vulnerable people.

This show started out promising but I really didn’t like this episode. We need a better understanding of Kevin to understand why Alison wants to kill him. Is he abusive? I was hoping to see a more violent side of Kevin outside of the sitcom to better understand Alison’s motivation. Also doesn’t make sense why Patti is so invested. Didn’t come together for me.

If only Stewy had given Kendall the coke none of this would have happened. Why didn’t he? That seemed odd like he wanted Kendall to be off and not as confident since the coke was making me more confident. Roman’s reaction to the explosion was horrifying. I’m assuming Gerri was kidding that no one died??
