B&B: What's Up Today at Forrester Creations? - Daily Chat

All I could think during Steffy's scenes at FC, other than how fucking annoying she is, was how uncomfortable JMW must have been with the way that top was cutting into her chest. And I will keep beating this dead horse, but the meditation scenes would have been a great time for Steffy to end up reliving some memory where she's young and Taylor is gone, leading to Taylor having to actually own up to her bullshit and get off that fraudulent pedestal she's been perched on. If Steffy is going to keep reliving her childhood and the disappointment that her parents weren't together, then she should also relive the fact that her mother may have been taken away initially the times she left, but she eventually hit a point where she chose to stay gone. And she still does that now. If Ridge's dick isn't an option, she decides to be all philanthropical and hit the road. I'm very confused as to how time has worked in the past two episodes. Carter is over at the cabin to see Hope, but he has to get to the office. He goes in, has one meeting, and then he's right back to the cabin? Did the entirety of one day pass in minutes? And Ridge and Steffy treat him shittier and shittier by the day. Finn Steffy's Husband clearly even knows that he is required to offer up daily (at least) affirmations of his love for her. "Hey, I just talked to Deacon, and he wanted me to help Hope, but don't you worry, I didn't do it. I was a good boy. And I came running right over here to tell you. Did I do good? Did I?" -

And, at least Ridge has given Brooke many reasons to be insecure. When has Finn Steffy's Husband given her even a moment to be insecure about where his heart is? Didn't Steffy and Ridge already have this exact same conversation about breaking up their family when she was a kid like a year ago? It really bugs me that nobody on this show draws the obvious parallel between Steffy firing Hope for "going after my husband," and Taylor repeatedly, with Steffy's assistance, going after Ridge. Like when Brooke reminded Taylor today that she and Ridge are in a committed relationship, it would have been the right time to say "and since you and your daughter have been up in arms thinking Hope is going after Finn Steffy's Husband, to the point of Steffy firing her, I know you're not going to be hypocrites and mess with my relationship." I laughed out loud when Taylor started going on about her wonderful full life. So wonderful and full that she skulked around stalking her ex in Europe and then followed him home with her Broken Heart Syndrome, then just settled in to die. -

I was wondering why Carter hasn't explicitly pointed the potential legal issues out to them. Then I realized that that if part of his plan to get back at them involves those issues, he's not going to give them the heads up on what those legal issues are. (Which isn't really ethical and all, but this whole storyline has thrown any kind of ethical standards out the window, so...) -

I was really hoping that, when Brooke was saying "oh, yes, what was that yoga pose called again?" she'd say "I believe it was the hypocrite?" Because Brooke shouldn't have been upset by seeing Dishrag in Ridge's lap because they were just doing a yoga pose, and she just needed to listen to what was really happening, but Dishrag's bitchass daughter gets to end Hope's career without stopping to listen to what actually happened? And Dishrag's "I don't want Hope to be shamed." Oh, the fuck you don't. You practically orgasmed when Ridge co-signed Hope being fired and marched out of the office in front of everyone. Electra, just tell your family that you have an obsessive ex, and you'd rather not be made a public face of the company, for fear of attracting his attention to your whereabouts. Yes, this is a business, but this is also your family. You just know that the whole reason Princess SuperBitch is so on board with the jewelry line is so she can point to Ivy and say "if I was making business decisions on my personal feelings, would Ivy work here?" Whenever it comes out that Hope was waiting for Carter, I hope Brooke, Hope, and Carter all tell Ridge to go fuck himself if he tries to act like, "if I'd only known the truth..." -
Drew, yes, but I'm trying to imagine Jason raising Danny on his own, and I can't picture it. I guess he'd move back into his old apartment, once Dante moves somewhere? Or he'll end up moving into the Q mansion with Danny? The only kid Jason has ever seemed remotely interested in raising was Michael. I think he's at a stage now where he loves his kids, but he doesn't think his life is something they should be around 24/7. Of course, if this leads to him finally being fully mob free and getting a more legal job, that could be interesting. Brennan landing Carly and Jason could really piss off Sonny. (This is all provided, of course, that SBu will actually put the effort into that storyline). Dante is, by far, the best option out of the three fathers, and he's been the only consistent father figure in their lives. I agree he's going to have a lot on his plate, but also the story of all the kids adjusting to Lulu being back in his life (and, therefore, theirs) could be interesting family drama, along with Rocco and Danny maybe being at odds for a while because of the circumstances.

I feel like every "planned" soap pregnancy ends up becoming a fertility issue storyline. It's like as soon as a couple actually says on screen that they want to have a baby and are going to start trying, you know you're getting a storyline about fertility issues. In this case, I'd bet money that we're going to end up with BLQ, blaming herself and saying that their fertility issues are her karma for faking a pregnancy, or some such shit like that.

Carter really should have paid attention a long time ago to how Ridge treats his brothers. Fingers crossed he doesn't try to steal Carter's SO, because I am definitely not up for watching that level of ick. -
If Sasha does end up pregnant, that's one baby they have to let live and be healthy. I am not up for watching Sasha go through more loss. Let the poor woman have some positivity in her life for once. Of course, I also don't want her to end up with Michael. I'm hoping that, if they do even head that way, she eventually uncovers some evil revenge plot he's been working against Willow and Drew and dumps his ass. (We all know he's going to have some elaborate revenge plot, because it's what he does every time someone displeases him.) I think they very well may go the Sasha/Jason route, though. His only romantic options now are her or Anna. We're definitely getting a BLQ/Chase fertility issues storyline, aren't we? I loved the Cody/Tracy scenes. I don't give this regime credit for much, but I do appreciate that they keep Tracy involved in storylines instead of shoving her off to the side to only be seen for holidays, weddings, and funerals. Because Tracy just makes everything better. Also, I really need to know JE's skincare routine.

Oh how I wish Hope would have immediately told Steffy "you can't just walk into my mother's house uninvited. This is a Logan house." And if Steffy dared to raise "my father lives here," the response could be "and my mother is an executive at Forrester. I guess we both have to figure out other ways to see our parents." Ridge was such an asshole to Carter today. And his indignant "apologize? My daughter?!?" He was so indignant that someone would expect Princess SuperBitch to lower herself and apologize for something. And, hey, Carter, now you know exactly how much that whole "we're like brothers" thing really means to Ridge. I really do hope that we get a storyline with everyone other than Ridge and Steffy leaving FC to go start a new company. -
Is the question "I can leave Ridge's shit on the front step, when would you like to pick it up?" "Finally"? "Finally"?? They've known each other for 2 1/2 minutes. And "undeniable"? Ah I see the rush now. They've got their storyline in mind for her, and they must go full speed ahead instead of giving us time to get to know her first. Go Deacon! Tell him that, to facilitate his compliance with his owner's directives that he not be in the presence of your wife or daughter, you're banning him from your restaurant. From the way that Carter line is worded, I definitely think they're setting him up to be the bad guy against poor, put upon Steffy instead of allowing the story to be that Princess SuperBitch is a bully who uses her position at FC to "win" the rivalries she creates.

Every episode, the first time he's on screen, I have to remind myself "that's Lucas." I thought she and Ingo had chemistry, and I, so far, think she and CM have chemistry. But that is probably largely him, since he seems to have chemistry with everyone they've thrown Brennan in scenes with so far.

What the hell is Steffy wearing?? Eric "The firing was personal." Steffy "Some people might see it that way." Then she proceeds to lay out exactly how personal it was "I warned her to stay away from my husband. She has to have consequences." I was mad that Eric didn't respond "that's the definition of personal!" Then we had Ridge bitching about how Eric is close to Brooke and cares about Hope. Well, at least someone fits that description, because God knows the so called love of her life, her "destiny," doesn't. As always, Hope is only Ridge's family when it's convenient for him. I kind of like Electra, just for her obviously snarky comment to the hostile models about how nice and helpful everyone has been. Everyone throwing themselves at Will is too much, though. Rein it in, show. -
She is one of the people Mo always seems to up his game a little for. The bulk of the time I find Sonny tolerable, he's in scenes with NLG.

I'm feel so annoyed by Taylor being there for Hope being fired. It just pissed me off so much. And what a great psychiatrist sitting there participating in piling on and bullying a woman who she herself states she thinks is having some kind of mental health issue. -
When Willow keeps protesting that she loves Michael and their family, all I can think is that she wants Drew more, but she's terrified that Michael will take Wiley away from her. (And she's probably right). But, hey, look on the bright side, Willow, Drew also comes with a child who doesn't have a mother. Clearly, the show is going full speed ahead with a Carly/Brennan pairing. She actually went to him first instead of Sonny and Jason? Her humping his leg in the middle of the Metro Court would have been less of a statement than that. Portia looking to blame Lucas for his sister's death is some cold shit. She just continues to suck. DZ and NLG continue to break my heart.

Those big romantic Sinn scenes? Again all about Steffy. It's Finn Steffy's Husband gushing about how much he loves her and how devoted he is to her. Her response? "I can see in your eyes how much you love me." And then "It goes without saying..." OK, well, here's where she's going to reciprocate his professions of love and devotion, right? "...that you're all mine." Jesus. Does the show not realize what kind of relationship they're writing? Steffy's Husband's entire value to Steffy is how much he worships her. He agrees with her that she is the center of the universe. I was chanting "dump him! dump him!" at my TV during the Brooke/Ridge scenes. It looked like the lightbulb was finally clicking on for Brooke about Ridge. And, Ridge? Do you know who's responsible for Douglas being overseas? Your bitchass daughter who all but packed his bags and flew them there herself as part of her Logans vs. Forresters obsession. All Hope did was not agree to a marriage she wasn't ready for yet. Would you rather your son be married to someone who wasn't all in and wasn't as committed as he was? And he had the nerve to act like Brooke was the one bringing Logans vs. Forresters into this? Did he not just sit there in his office and listen to Steffy bring up "the slut from the valley" see her bristle when he brought up Katie? Hope and Carter are "in love" already? It's been five minutes, show. Your pacing is shit. And Carter is getting so many intense close up shots whenever he talks about FC that I think we're supposed to see him in some nefarious light. Seriously, Brooke, dump his ass. Let's go Brill! -
I can't help it, I like the trashy soapiness of it all. Also, I was half right about the first time they'd have sex. I thought it was going to be to comfort Drew after the Congressman died. After that didn't happen, and I heard Sam was going to die, I figured it would be after her death, then. I just really hope Willow doesn't end up pregnant now, but like the rest of you, I'm betting she will. This story does not need a baby involved, too. And God knows Drew is a shitty father to the kid he already does have. By the way, I read here before I watched the episode. When I first saw everyone horrified by a sex scene, without mention of who it was, I was legitimately scared, for a moment, that it was Jason having grief sex with Anna. ( I apologize for putting that thought out into the universe.)

Steffy is such a hypocrite ranting to Katie, of all people, about Hope "seducing" Finn Steffy's Husband. Hey, Steffy? Remember when you were doing all that, and more, to Katie's husband? Taylor, remember walking in on Steffy and Bill about to bang when he was still married to Katie? Anyone? Throw him out, Brooke. Throw his greasy, weaselly, waffling ass out. And change the lock. -

That's what I was wondering about, too. Why did he go in there? Why didn't he go directly to Steffy's office? Was he planning on stopping in to talk to his friend, Hope? Did Steffy forget to put a chip in Finn Her Husband to make sure he doesn't go within a country mile of Hope? -
That reminds me, I laughed when Molly said she'd set up a meal service for Sam. Like Olivia wouldn't have already stocked Sam and Dante's freezer before Sam went in for the surgery.

Give NLG and DZ all the awards. Everyone else (OK, mostly everyone else) was good as well, but the two of them have been on a whole other level. I so want Danny and Scout to say that they would prefer to stay with Dante and Rocco instead of going to their fathers. When Holly said she's never loved anyone as much as Robert, I said to my TV "except for yourself and money, apparently."

Ridge should have started questioning whether he'd fucked up in blindly supporting his bitchass daughter when, as soon as he mentioned talking to Katie, their head of PR, she was all "another Logan." That made it pretty damn clear that she absolutely is allowing her Logan obsession to take the lead in the office. God, I hope Brooke dumps his ass. -

I was going to say that, to be fair, Steffy was seemingly all in on putting the whole feud behind them and raising their kids together as one big happy family thing back when they were both pregnant. But, then I realized that Steffy likely only did that because it kept her access to Liam as wide open as possible. And condoned by his wife, even. -

This is exactly it. People tend to assume that everyone else operates how they do. Steffy keeps saying how Hope is "just like Brooke," but what Steffy has really been doing is assuming that Hope will do exactly what she'd do herself in the situation. If the roles were completely reversed, planting an ill-advised drunken kiss on Hope's husband would have been the least of it all. Somehow figuring out that he was on his way into the office and rushing to change into lingerie would have been perfectly on brand for Steffy. So she can't stop and think through the very low odds that Hope would have been able to plot what happened with Finn this time. -

I will forever love Erica Kane, one of the most infamous bitchy soap characters. But Erica fucking lost. A lot. Sure, she won a lot, too, but she lost an equal amount. She had to earn people's trust and respect back multiple times. Nobody coddled Erica. Mona loved her to pieces, but she also told her when she was wrong. Even Jack called her shit out, no matter how head over heels in love with her he was. Steffy's parents never tell her she's wrong. She's as overindulged as a character can possibly be by her family. Case in point. Steffy stood in front of her father and called his "Destiny," the supposed love of his life, a "slut from the valley" in Friday's show. Ridge didn't say a fucking word. And Hope, while that smugass bitch was standing at the elevator, gloating, and telling her she can never set foot again in the company where her mother and aunt are executives, where her brother works, wasn't allowed to call her the bitch she's been to her for around a decade. She had to grovel to the end. While she was being ripped into for going after Finn Steffy's Husband, she didn't get to say "hey, at least I only kissed him. Remember when you fucked my husband and had to take your second DNA test in a row?" Wasn't allowed to say "hey, remember when you followed my fiancé around, throwing yourself at him every time I turned my back for 2 seconds? Right after you got done doing the same to my aunt's husband? Ringing any bells?" Of course, Taylor got to be there for the whole thing, so she could also gloat and get one over on "the evil Logans." Anyway... I don't think you could convince me that the show wasn't aiming in entirely different directions recently and then just decided to pull up stakes and change everything. I'm not hallucinating, right? We absolutely had scenes where Ridge said he was pulling back from the co-CEO spot to focus on designing, and Brooke was put in his place, right? After Steffy threw a grand mal temper tantrum over having to work with a Logan? That all happened, right? Now we're just back to Steffy and Ridge running the company without a care to check in with Brooke on this? Now that the Forresters have pissed off Carter, who's going to perform the ceremony when Ridge inevitably marries his beige limp dishrag? Maybe Carter can perform the Brill wedding instead. (Let me dream, dammit.)
