Carter should have punched him. And, if he won't, then Brooke should have pushed him out of the way so she could punch him. I swear, if Brooke just accepts him talking about her daughter that way, after she's spent all this time defending him... Oh, oh, someone tell Deacon what Ridge called his daughter, please. If Brooke says nothing about this, then I really, really hope that, when Ridge eventually fucks his limp beige dishrag, Hope has exactly zero time to listen to her mother lamenting her loss of her destiny. -
It's kind of amazing how much BH and JJ still have that level of chemistry after all this time and how long JJ has been off the show. They just sparkle together. Always have. And everything about their scenes yesterday was just adorable and sweet. I'm surprised they showed us this soon that it was Cyrus who killed Sam. I figured they'd drag it out much longer than that. Of course, they'll likely drag out everyone else finding out for all of eternity to make up for letting us in on it so soon. As someone who started watching AMC as a kid back in the late 70's, I will always just be happy to see MEK on my screen. Can we please see the Lulu reunions with Tracy and Maxie now, show?

But, to be fair to Hope and Carter: Hope is family. She's been Ridge's stepdaughter for most of her life, and he helped raise her and has told her multiple times that she is family. Eric also considers both Brooke and Hope to be part of his family. And Carter. How many times have Ridge and Eric, in the past week, talked about how Carter was family? Sure, neither one of them is related to Eric or Ridge by blood, but that's not all that makes a family. (If it was, then Ridge and his kids wouldn't be part of that "family business," either.) -

I thought I might lunge for my TV when Steffy fixed her mouth to accuse Carter of hypocrisy. From the reigning hypocrisy champion of Los Angeles? Get out of here with that shit. And Ridge's "nobody judges your relationship, nobody cares about that." Um, were you not just giving him an ultimatum to dump Hope if he wants to stay employed at FC? I'm disappointed that, when they're all blaming Hope and talking about how she is some evil siren who lured Carter to the dark side, or whatever, that Carter didn't say anything to correct the record. Something like "I'm the one who pursued Hope," or "I'm the one who came up with this idea. Hope had no idea about the LLC paperwork until I talked to her about it after I came up with this plan. And I'm putting myself in charge, not Hope." I am not going to have much sympathy for Brooke when Ridge inevitably decides to give his bitchass daughter the gift of him banging her mother for Christmas. I'm going to give this show so much side eye if Bill doesn't at least have a conversation or two with Poppy (and maybe Li, too, to get her perspective) before he just wholesale buys all that Luna is selling him. He's smarter than that, and Luna has already fooled him once, so he'd be more on guard. I laughed out loud when the Hope mannequin box made an appearance. -
Receipts for what? I saw the unconfirmed story, too, and it said that she believes people behind the scenes "orchestrated her firing." Um, yeah, that's how it works. Actors on soaps get fired all the time for all kinds of reasons. Unless she has "receipts" that show she was targeted for a protected reason, then she just got fired. From what I can tell of all the various rumors that have been floating around for a long time, Billy got fired because he was basically the SBu replacement, and the show got SBu back, so the shine wore off of Billy. This pissed of Kelly, who was apparently very vocal about it and then proceeded to phone in the vast majority of her scenes for the following five years, until the show decided to write her off. There's nothing in there to sue over. I get that she's pissed, and her fans are pissed. And this was probably made all the more difficult to her because her firing came around a year after Billy's death, but I just don't see anything in that whole story that will win a lawsuit. Personally, I think she's just lashing out because she's hurt, and her fans have rallied around her convincing her that she needs to make someone pay.

If I'm remembering right, there was no mention of Molly and TJ wanting/being ready for kids until she thought she might be pregnant. Then, instead of being pregnant, she found out she had endometriosis, and was told she can't have a baby. They could actually explore her realizing she pushed so hard to have a baby right now, because she's the over-achiever who doesn't like being told there is something she can't do, and it created this sense of urgency in her. Let her figure out that, yeah, she might want kids at some point down the road, but, right now, she's really not ready. It would also explain so much about why she was so uninvolved in the pregnancy, and even why the cracks started showing in her relationship with TJ during the pregnancy. Just, for the love of God, don't have her miraculously become pregnant from a one night stand with someone like Dez or Isaiah.

Seriously, their wardrobe department is horrible. -
Wait, so Zende is going to feel betrayed and heartbroken by Carter and Hope? I'm not sure I really get that, but let's see how it plays out. Kick his ass out of your office, Carter. Do it. I'm happy to have Luna back, but please don't let them be heading for anything romantic there, for the love of God. Besides, Bill's Brooke senses should be tingling right about now. And fuck Ridge. Also, this is all so insulting to Carter. His "brother" doesn't think he's capable of thinking above the waistline. I don't even know what that Remy/Deacon spoiler means, but I will say that Sheila is falling down on the job when it comes to Remy's presence in Deacon's life. Does game not recognize game? Can't she sense a kindred stalking psycho spirit when in one's presence? Brooke is torn? Really, Brooke? Come on. And now Eric is all in on evil, vile temptress Hope, manipulating men with her powerful vagina? The Forresters can all just fuck off into the sun. Oh, finally, Brooke is going to realize her "destiny" isn't perfect? I wonder how much hateful shit he heaps on her daughter, the daughter he helped raise and who he claims when the mood suits him, before she finally dares to snap at him. After all of this, can it be the end of Brooke ever tiptoeing around Steffy because she's Ridge's precious little angel daughter? Please, please, please tell me that them stepping into power involves Steffy being walked out of the building in front of everyone. So, when they say Logans, does that include Donna? Or are the writers just going to pretend she doesn't exist for this storyline, so they don't have to make her choose sides?

I know that, much like Bitch In A Box, this won't last very long, but I'm going to enjoy it while I can. Eric was really slow on the uptake there, wasn't he? Trying to fire Carter after Justin explained to them that the paperwork putting Carter in charge was legit and filed properly. Dude, you can't fire him. He can fire you, but you can't fire him. Personally, though, if there is going to be any firing, I hope Princess SuperBitch is the first to go. Just don't fire her before Hope gets there for a front row seat, Carter. Hey, maybe call Finn Steffy's Husband and Taylor in to witness it, too. And, Eric, let's not forget all the details of what happened with Carter and Quinn. You had completely shut Quinn out because you didn't want to admit you couldn't get it up, so you would have rather had her think you didn't love or want her anymore. So, yeah, she should have just divorced your ass, but she cheated instead. But, then you gave them the greenlight to carry on while you ran around with Donna behind Quinn's back. So take several seats when referencing that whole situation. So, does everyone in Los Angeles think Hope is some kind of secret legal super genius who knew that Ridge and Steffy wanted to file those LLC papers and came up with this whole plan to seduce Carter so she could then talk him into making himself (not her, but him) the big boss? When Steffy told Carter "we worked so well together," he should have responded "sure, as long as I agreed with everything you said and did." Bitch in a Box has no time for anyone who doesn't kiss her ass. Loved that end shot of Carter taking his place behind the desk while the three of them were still trying to wrap their brains around reality. -

What in the fuck is Steffy wearing? At least they've gotten her some better wigs, though? Hope, let me help you here. Repeat after me, "bitch, you better walk your hypocritical, holier than thou ass right on out of my house before I call the police and have them remove you for me. I truly do not give a single fuck what you think of me, so save your breath for begging your mommy not to leave your side." And how many times, now, has Steffy told Hope "congratulations, you're just like your mother"? Get some new material, bitch. Also, if Hope isn't going to kick her out, she at least could have said "now that I've told you I'm with Carter, how soon until you try to fuck him? We all know you can't control your vagina around men when they're with me. Don't worry, you've sufficiently neutered Finn Your Husband. He'll get over it soon enough after you inevitably throw yourself at Carter." Brooke, dump his ass. Tell the limp beige dishrag she can pick his shit up off your front lawn later. Yeah, sure, you can't (don't want to) defend Hope with regard to the takeover attempt, specifically, but Ridge and his little jock rider there aren't just talking about that. They're talking about who she is as a person, and they're full of hateful bullshit. Dump his ass. Dump his ass hard. Funny how Ridge can rip Carter for banging Quinn while she was married to Eric, but he doesn't mention his own pursuit of Quinn while she was married to Eric. At least Carter, eventually, had Eric's permission, Ridge. Have you had daddy's permission any of the times you've slept with his wives? I know, it's super shocking to see Ridge be a hypocrite. Almost as shocking as it is to Taylor and their spawn be hypocrites. -
That was a really good episode. And after suffering through weeks of Lucky at that damn poker table, I'm glad that they didn't drag out Lulu running into her loved ones. I loved all of her scenes with Rocco and Dante, and I really liked the Lucky/Laura scenes, as well. Molly and TJ have been overdue for a split, and this is such a realistic way to do it. A lot of couples don't survive the loss of a child. And since little fractures started becoming apparent in their relationship during the pregnancy, and since the baby's death, it makes perfect sense that this is happening now. And this Molly had more chemistry in her one set of scenes with Isaiah than she's had in all of her scenes with TJ combined. I say this as someone who actually liked the Drew/Willow stuff, but damn are they a really making Drew an unlikeable asshole. He was totally willing to fuck his daughter over because he's pissed that Jason hit him. The only thing wrong with Jason hitting him was that it should have been Michael growing up and handling that himself instead of winding up Jason and sending him spinning over to Drew. Drew, dude, you know damn well you've earned some punches with all you've done. Him acting like the innocent injured party, solely because he knows that Jason won't tell anyone why he hit him, is a shitty look. Again, I liked Drew/Willow, but Drew needs to have some kind of guilt or complicated emotions for the story to continue working. And currently? He has none. He was so close to Michael, and he feels nothing at all about fucking Michael's wife? And he feels no guilt at all about the fact that he's been fucking Willow's mother? Nothing complicated happening in Drew's emotions at all? That's boring as fuck. Also, if Willow is supposed to mean something to him, even if it's just him having her up on some kind of pedestal, they should have had her be the one to talk him into not taking his anger at Jason out on Scout's life. Drew pre-emptively broke up with Carly when Jason came back, because he was that insecure about her attachment to Jason. It makes no sense, to me, that he'd give in to Carly urging him to cooperate with Jason. He'd just resent what he saw as her, once again, taking Jason's side. So, we've gone from Kristina being troubled by the idea of her father being violent, to the point where she almost had an issue with the pregnancy after seeing him beating on Dex, to her being soothed by the idea of him offing Ava? OK, then. Alexis threw all kinds of truth at Ric. The panic room, his relationship with Kristina, using Kristina to get to Sonny... And NLG and RH have always bounced off each other so well.

If Ridge and Steffy were allowed to lose at all, then the fact that they knew Carter's name was on those forms and still signed them should actually cost them FC. At least for a little while. I was so hoping that, when Ridge told Carter he was fired, Carter would have responded, "no, brother, actually you're fired. And so is your daughter." It would be interesting to see how things shake out if Carter actually gets to run things for a while, in terms of who'd stay and who would go. Would Zende stay? Yes, he's a Forrester, but he's clearly always felt like an ignored Forrester, and he's established some bond with Hope working on her line. And he was pissed off about the line being cut. He's had issues with how Ridge runs things. And what about RJ? He clearly loves both of his sisters, but it seems like his stronger bond is with Hope. I'd assume Katie would stay with Carter and Hope. What about Brooke? Will she tuck tail and run out the door attached to her "destiny," to make sure Taylor doesn't get her sad little paws on him? What about Ivy and Electra? If they're going to do something like that, or a rival fashion house story, they really need to bring back some off screen characters to round things out. I know there are a lot of people out there who think that Thomas/Hope is still going to happen again. If that's the case, then they could bring him back, with his family expecting him to side with them, only for him to shock them all when he signs on as the lead designer at Carter's FC, or whatever rival fashion house Hope and Carter end up forming. (Disclaimer: I do not want to see Hope with Thomas. I'd rather she be with damn near anyone else. But, if it's going to happen, then that's the interesting way to do it.) Other than Thomas, though, you've got Rick and Thorn out there. -
Also, SBu/Jason has always been a much bigger part of the canvas than Ingo/Jax has ever been. He has way more connections to the current canvas. Jax basically lifts right out, as they've proven over and over again over the years. When he's gone, he's "out of sight, out of mind." Not even his daughter talks about him much when he's not on the show. And Ingo could maybe argue that he's a better actor, or that Jax should have been a bigger player on the canvas, but that's just always been how the show runners see him. It isn't a punishment for his vaccine stance, it's how they treated both men for decades before Covid-19 was ever heard of. As much as some of us here might not get it, I'd bet the show can also provide some stats on fan reaction/engagement that support the idea of Steve being more important to the show than Ingo. And they can point to the multiple storylines he's tied into right now, and all the character connections he has on screen to show why they felt bringing him back was necessary. Jax's only real connection is Joss, who isn't going through anything major that would necessitate Jax's presence on screen.

The only reason a teenager would need to have to give a baby up for adoption would be "I am not remotely prepared for or interested in raising a baby." I can see that being teen BLQ's mentality towards a pregnancy.
-
And Brooke will be rewarded for all of this with Ridge tossing her aside because all he can think of to get his bitchass daughter for Christmas is to bang her limp beige dishrag of a mother. All while Steffy lamely protests "oh, no, I'm not trying to get you back together with mom, I swear." At this point, I'm legitimately curious as to whether we're even supposed to remember that Ridge isn't a blood Forrester. I get the impression that their mindset on that is "well, at the time, we had these well known soap actors on the canvas, and we wanted to really integrate them. But, they're not here anymore, so..." But, if Carter did dare to raise that point, and Ridge's response was something like "Eric raised me, and I'm his son," Carter's response should be "well, that's because Eric is a better man than you. Remember how you were married to Brooke and helped raise Hope when she was younger? But Hope is only your daughter when you feel like getting into a pissing match with Deacon?" These are super vague, but credit to the writer for the Taylor dig. What the fuck else can those two assholes affect of Hope's life? Please, this show will never allow Hope to get one over enough on Steffy as to actually slap her. If anything, it will be like the last time she tried to slap here, where Steffy, of course, had the reflexes to stop her and then intimidate/threaten her over it. Because, remember, Steffy is the most badass snowflake tough girl delicate flower to ever exist. Now, listen, I'd love to see Luna back somehow to fuck shit up and all, but if the implication here is that it's something romantic that lures Bill in, then I'll pass. Do not want.
-
And it's just ridiculously stupid timing to reveal that Sasha is Robert and Holly's daughter and then immediately usher both Robert and Holly out of town and off screen. The only impact this has had on her life is that she had one lunch with Mac and Felicia, and she can't be with Cody.

Brooke is basically Finn now. Too afraid of stepping a toe out of line and losing their asshole partner that all they can do is run to them for approval 24/7, always cognizant that there is an ex waiting in the wings to pounce the second they do step that toe out of line. -

I'll take a pass on Ridge's man pain. Why is everything about him, Taylor, and their spawn so damn tedious and self-involved? And I feel like the majority of their dialogue is meant to gaslight viewers into not believing shit we've seen with our own eyes. Hope is the one pushing Logans vs. Forresters? No, that's your bitchass daughter, dude. And you know that damn well. Your daughter rants to you about Logans at least once a fucking week. And all of his revisionist history of her relationships with Liam and Thomas? Are we not supposed to remember reality? And why can't anyone ever dare to correct the record when one of them is on a rant? Carter could have told Ridge "actually, I pursued Hope. I initiated our relationship." When Ridge said "you sound just like Hope," why can't Carter tell him "and you sound just like your daughter"? When Ridge rants on and on about how this plan is all Hope's doing, why can't Carter say "no, I came up with this. Hope had no idea about the paperwork until I went to her and told her what I was planning to do"? Why does every confrontational scene one of them gets into have to be so one-sided and only involve their twisted version of "the truth"? This sadass dud of a storyline could be saved if the colleague Justin was going to talk to was actually Carter. Or Bill. Justin throwing in with the takeover would be fun. Also interesting would have been for Brooke to hear exactly how Ridge talked about Hope to Carter. She needs to know what her "destiny" truly thinks of her daughter. -
This is what I've been kind of thinking, too. In her mind, whatever she does remember probably all happened so fast that she just truly believes Ava pushed her. Ava did have her hand on her arm right before she fell, so I can kind of see how her memory has pieced together for her "we were arguing, I had just threatened to bring up her killing my brother and Connie, she reached out at me, and then I went out the window," into Ava pushing her. I've never gotten the impression from Kristina's dialogue or KM's performance, that she's intentionally lying about what happened. It's been played, to me, like she fully believes Ava pushed her out that window.

Considering that Taylor tried to murder one of the possible baby daddies over it, you'd think she'd remember. I laughed yesterday when Ridge said they could have found new jobs. Well, I mean, technically, Carter did, in fact, find himself a new job, Ridge. Yours. -
Given the obvious quality of the facility, I fully expect them to notice that the nurse's bag is missing well before they discover that a whole-ass patient is missing.
-
I suspect that the fear is that, if they went somewhere other than the Q mansion, Drew would fight them on Scout going with them. He's fine leaving her in the mansion while he's in DC, so that's where the rest of them are going to go to keep the kids together. And that may well be the way a lot of viewers see him, but the characters in PC mostly see him as the manliest of big strong men. And they also all think he's scrupulously honest and direct. They aren't going to question whether he would have had a ONS with Sasha if he tells them he had a ONS with Sasha. Sure, some of us in the audience might not buy it, but they don't need the audience to buy it, because we'd already know he was lying to protect Michael.
-
He doesn't have to have sex with her in order to claim to be the father. I mean, he hadn't had sex with Sam yet when he was claiming to be her baby's father to protect Sonny.
-
Can we get Drew Garrett back?
