B&B: What's Up Today at Forrester Creations? - Daily Chat
KerleyQ replied to Aquarius's topic in The Bold And The Beautiful
Is nobody on this show familiar with the term "slow your roll"? Ivy's already inviting Liam to go to Amsterdam with her? And, to make it even more perfect, it would be with her, Wyatt, and Hope? And she was just certain he'd go, saying "if you leave now, you can pack and meet me at the jet!" Also, was she not going to tell him before hand that Hope and Wyatt would be there? Because he kind of had to drag that info out of her. What a spectacularly crappy idea on her part. Sometimes I like Ivy, but then sometimes I feel like she and Maya should hang out together. -
I thought of Diane, but then I wondered if the whole point of Max getting shot would be to give her a reason to turn down Sonny if he goes to her.
-
You forgot AJ, clearly this is all his fault for not being dead the first time. Had he not come back from the dead, Sonny wouldn't have ended up killing him. I guess we can throw Monica on the list, too, for hiding him and eventually bringing him back to town. I'm sure Deke is somehow at fault, too. Oh, and Johnny, because everyone knows that Johnny's guys would have told him who killed Connie right as it happened. He could have let Sonny know before he killed AJ. He can blame Connie's parents, too. If they didn't have her, she never would have been killed.
-
I keep waiting for Sonny to place some of the blame for all of this on Connie. I'm picturing something along the lines of "She should have written 'Ava'! It's just one or two more letters! She had to know that if she wrote 'AJ,' I'd go after AJ Quartermaine! If she would have just written the right name in blood, I wouldn't have shot AJ or banged Ava on his grave!" (And, yes, I know it's only one more letter, but I'm assuming that's math Sonny would have a hard time computing on the spot.)

Had Carly not cheated, I think he would have tried to find a way to keep her part of the secret, but he totally would have blown Sonny's secret to hell at some point. The main difference I can see is that he probably would have tried to do it in such a way that his hands remained clean, so Carly wouldn't get mad at him. Has she ever done such a thing? I'm certain she doesn't know how.

Like I said, though, I think the extent of their relationships was kind of a function of their ages when he came into their lives. Jax was, essentially, Morgan's father. He was even in the process of adopting him before the divorce. As such, I think he views Morgan more as his child and Michael is more of the older stepson. He loves him, and he's made it clear he'll be there for him, but he doesn't presume a parental role like he does with Morgan. And he also respects whatever distance Michael has established, but, I don't think that is a reflection of his feelings towards Michael, in a negative connotation, as much as just the respect you have, as a step-parent, for the boundaries and relationship that child shows a preference for. And, like I said, since these events affect all three of the kids, it makes zero sense for Jax to not be there, especially when you add in that a lot of this is happening because of Sonny (and Franco and Carly). Sonny has killed Michael's father, he screwed Morgan's girlfriend (literally over AJ's dead body), who is now pregnant with either Morgan or Sonny's child, and he's been sleeping with Carly, while Franco was living in her house, with Joss, driving all this Franco revenge stuff. Jax would want to be there to rip Sonny a new one and watch him (hopefully) finally go down for his crimes, but especially so when those crimes are affecting the kids Jax loves.
-
It's really ridiculous to not have Jax here for any of this. His ex moved a serial killer into the house his daughter lives in, was set to marry said serial killer, and now all of the events of this week, which affect not only Joss, but Michael as well (and, partially, Morgan). It's just nuts to not have Jax involved. He'd want to yank Joss out of Carly's claws and be there for Michael, who has lost, to varying degrees, every other parental figure he's ever had. Jax is literally the only parental figure he has left. I know Morgan was closer to Jax, just because of their relative ages when Jax was married to Carly, but Michael has still been close to him, like when Jax risked coming back to PC (after he went in hiding and let Sonny believe he killed him) to support Michael (I want to say that was after Abby's death?)

I still find it criminal that they didn't cash in on the ridiculous chemistry between ME and FH instead of being dead set on the Caleb/Livvie redux.

I got the impression that they were told to leave the rumba for Tommy and Michael. Speaking of which, either the stars made their choices in opponent and dance style backstage ahead of time or they were essentially told what they'd be picking, but either way, the choosing we saw on air was clearly done for show. You could tell by how everyone was dressed.
-
That cracked me up. He seemed so genuinely shocked she said that and his tone pretty much matched the "are you serious? How?" I threw at my TV at the same time.
-
I loved their dance, but, yeah, I spent the whole time waiting for that song to get up to speed. Did they announce on last week's episode that they were doing the immunity thing this week? Or did it just come out in the episode descriptions at some point since then? Because I'm developing a conspiracy theory. Not that I mind it in this instant, because I'm all for shenanigans if that's what it took to get Michael booted.
-
I got the impression that ties were broken by overall season standing. But I wouldn't swear to it. Did Lea say she wanted to go against Tommy because Michael was already claimed? (I'm a little behind.) Because Michael seems like the sure thing if you're picking an opponent here.

How is Sonny still alive? As far as I can tell, his protection is Max and Shawn. I mean, come on.

Wish Upon a Star: Who Would You Like To See On DWTS?
KerleyQ replied to RescueMom's topic in Dancing With The Stars
I really, really want to see either Chris Isaak or Billy Idol. -
Unpopular Opinions: "I hate BLTs from Kelly's!"

I would take Felix over Brad any day and twice on Sunday. I remain unable to fathom Lucas hitting town and being obsessively attracted to...that. -

Now I'm going to constantly hear Charlie Brown's voice saying "I got a string," whenever Katie is on screen. I know Rick is upset and all, but how is he not smelling the entitled grasping that is wafting off Maya? I can smell it through my TV, and he can't get a whiff when she's sitting on his lap droning on about "us" and "we"? -
Then she wouldn't be a soap character. Seriously, though, I love how Dr. O is ready to give the patient a boot because he A) made fun of her, and B) is friendly with the nurse she doesn't like, and somehow Liz is just the worst for pushing back on that. I'd pay good money for Ron to kill off the whole O clan in one swoop. Sorry, Nathan, I know it's not your fault, but your family fucking sucks, and I'm beyond sick of every single thing about them. I blame myself for firing up this episode while I eat dinner. Nothing is worse than having food in your mouth and looking up to that freeze frame of the Moobster, in all his moob-y glory. Nothing.

It was damn considerate of Carly to make sure that the hideous necklace he gave her was always aimed just so to capture the video. I'm thinking that the sex tape is just to publicly embarrass Carly before he goes in for the kill with the AJ stuff.
-
I'm not saying necessarily that it worked for everyone, but I think that was their intention. It's just too coincidental, especially when we know that at least one cast member is defending Che. And I agree, there's a difference between being inappropriate as a joke and just being an ass. I remember in college, my roommate and I used to get crap from some of the other girls on our floor because we liked Andrew Dice Clay. And, yes, some of his jokes were too far, but they were always that - jokes. I have a completely inappropriate sense of humor, so it takes a lot to piss me off or offend me.
-
God I loved that whole Vickerman premiere. I honestly don't think Ron will pull off that level of awesomeness anymore. On that note, I sincerely doubt that the reveal that Sonny shot AJ and that he and Carly have been tainting their son's furniture will be nearly as amazing as I could hope for.

Add in that he knows Maya has been trying to come between him and Caroline for a while now, and she's the one who spilled the beans in front of his everyone at FC instead of giving him the courtesy of talking to him privately. Even if he was inclined to screw someone else to feel better, you'd think he'd pick someone who had no part in the pain he was in at the moment. -
Well, no, I don't think that any of those were "about" Che, so much as the show may have been trying to go with some controversial sketches (and the monologue) to try to make some kind of point - that comedy is sometimes inappropriate and not "PC" (for lack of a better term). it seems coincidental to me that they went for it on a lot of fronts the same week that there was this big deal over his social media posts.
-
I have to wonder if Chris did a monologue that some might find uncomfortable/inappropriate or too dark precisely because of the Michael Che controversy. Hell, I think the ISIS/Shark Tank bit might have been part of that, too.

I was so utterly disappointed by Morgan buying Sonny's shit and deciding that poor Sonny has suffered so much. I so want tomorrow to reveal that he was getting his payback on Sonny. "Yes, of course I'll keep your secret. There, there, father, you poor misunderstood thing." Then he hightails it over to the wedding and busts in and beats Franco to the punch of spilling all to Michael (and the rest of the assembled crowd). On an unrelated note, while I do really like this Joss actress (she kicked ass through all of Friday's episode), Ron really needs to drop the whole corn thing. It is so gross that he's taken some message board snark on a previous young actress and incorporated it into a running gag with a new actress bringing that snark to life. He's such a child. I mean, whenever Spencer is eventually aged up, will he have the new actor jokingly speak in a put on lisp several times a year for shits and giggles? Not to mention, Ron never knows when enough is enough. He couldn't just do the gag one time on one Halloween. He has to go overboard and then overboard some more. He's such an ass.

MSt is really awful. Just...awful. That "Ava. Ava. Ava." So bad. Sonny in full stutterbarking jazzhands glory levels of bad. I'd advise burning the couch, but I can't imagine what those fumes would put out into the world. Well, yeah, if Ms. Pac-Man was being played by a toddler who's also eating an ice cream cone and trying to tell Daddy about the doggy he saw in the park today. Over the past decade, Liz has been single FAR more often than she's been with a man. She's practically celibate by soap standards. Is Lucas Carly's maid of honor? I want to like Lucas, but between his closeness to Carly and his choice in men? It's hard. Real hard.
