  1. Yep, filming spoilers confirm Judith is around for 6b. I promised Ghoulina a few years back to let her know if I heard anything because she avoids spoilers but has to be informed if a Judith death is in the works.
  2. I actually like your interpretation better, as it is more generous to Rosita. I thought her diatribe was over the top and ridiculous, but I haven't done a second viewing. These are soft and scared ASZhats who are rightfully terrorized by a megaherd pushing in the walls; I don't think Eugene's fearfulness (and delightful snarkery) is going to make much of an impact on them compared to that. Turning Eugene into the whipping boy was laying it on a bit thick -- but as Ghoulina and others mentioned up thread, she might be taking her worries about Abraham out on him (which kind of makes me gag, to be honest).
  3. I know, I saw some of those panels the other day --the recent Rick & Michonne heart to heart-- and wondered about it. Getting Lucilled... I just keep flip-flopping between the three main possibilities: Glenn, Morgan and Daryl. I have no legit spoiler info on it so it's all spec. I could see them going through with Comic Glenn's fate just because we are supposed to think they wouldn't dare go there after DumpsterGate and Maggie's pregnancy announcement. Morgan's arc would fit in with their typical MO of making characters unlikeable before they off them. I don't see how Morgan can stick around with his desperate need to cling to his ALIP mantra -- that will have to change if he's to become a full fledged member of CDB. But does he even want to -- why is he there -- because Cheeseman said he needed to be around people? He will be banished if he doesn't change. Also I wouldn't put it past Show to hammer home the impossibility of Morgan's stance with a literal hammering courtesy of Lucille. And of course Daryl is just for pure shock value, but there's been spec on his demise every season for years now.
  4. I read TSDF board every day. I just can't with their FB page anymore because of the massive amount of trolls and other stupidities. I was surprised that IMDb had legit episode 7 spoilers posted the other day (episode summary). I usually discount anything IMDb-related.
  5. Yeah I don't think it's going to be as extreme an injury as portrayed in the comic. First of all, a catastrophic loss like that is easier (more believable?) to deal with in the comics -- I mean it looked like he'd lost a quarter of his brain along with his eye, and teevee viewers are simply not going to go with that. I think it grazes his eye or damages it in some way -- hence the big white bandage over it in season 6b spoiler pics.
  6. I watched this with my father-in-law, who was visiting from 4000 miles away for his semi-annual visit, so I missed a few moments here and there. It was disconcerting to explain every detail to him – or even the basic premise of the show, which admittedly sounds pretty damned stupid (“And they come back? Why is that one still moving? The brain? They eat people? What? Why??”) I was only a little bit ashamed of my trashy taste in teevee shows. *shrug* Here is my understatement of the year: Rick continues to show poor judgment with respect to the Anderson family. The old Rick would have recognized that Ron holds a massive grudge against him for killing his father. This Rick is not paying attention. And neither is Carl, obviously, if he’s oblivious to Ron stalking him with a gun. Rick told us that he has learned that weak people can be dangerous; he knew that about Carter, who represented the bulk of the ASZhats. But he seems to discount this with regards to Ron; maybe because he’s still a kid, in his eyes. Spencer: he is the biggest lying liar who ever lied. That weasel was not in any way, shape or form going to run off, find a working car and drive back to lure the zombies away. NOPE. Tara is stupid (I have never liked her) but I did like the bird part. HA. Take, that Dicktator Rick. Speaking of other B characters, Rosita was way too harsh on Eugene. Like really. You’ve been with this dude forever, as long as you’ve been with Abraham, and you’re tearing a strip off him in the hopes he would suddenly, magically become a badass? What was the point – to show the soft ASZhats – err, what exactly, that these numbskulls haven’t already seen since CDB showed up? Not everyone can be, not everyone is meant to be, not everyone should be a badass. Fuck off already with that nonsense. Show the strengths these people really have, show their usefulness – Eugene is smart, he knows a lot of stuff about stuff and thangs, let’s see this in action. And I did laugh at his “open-toed shoes” comment – can always count on him to crack me up. That is also a useful skill, Show! Everything else has already been skillfully addressed by our delightful commentators here. Oh FPP – Prayer Circle by the Solar Panel – I had a laugh when Rick ripped the notices down. But then I felt bad. Carl and his “Daaaaaad!” But FPP defiantly taped it back up. Like Tara’s defiant finger flipping! You can only go on like Captain Bligh for so long, Rick.
  7. That being the case, I expect to see Carol get loved up real soon. It'd be nice if it was Daryl. He needs some action before he shuffles off his mortal coil, if ya know what I mean.
  8. Precious cinnamon roll! Love it. I hope they don't somehow remix Jessie and Lori's death -- if Jessie is holding Judith -- eff you show. That ship has sailed! Let Judith live. They already did the Judith death fake out at the prison. However, I read that Judith is safely ensconced under Carl's poncho during the MSF which means that even if his eye gets shot (and it will, judging by the eye bandage photos) she will be safe. But I don't know how it is that Judith goes from Jessie's care to Carl's and where the hell he got a poncho, since Daryl's Ugly Poncho bit the dust at Terminus. Very confusing.
  9. I just read that "Sasha has Holly's role. Michonne has Andrea's role. Carol has Michonne's role." I'm going with it.
  10. This is a tricky one. Would any of the Ricktator's crew do that? Female Aszzzzzhats -- man I got nothing. Maybe Enid? She's a disaffected teen in the ZA, could see it.
  11. I call DumpsterGate right now as soon as the sh!t hits the fan unless it's already been called!
  12. heeeee thanks bunnyblue. I hated the turtle scene, but the Rick RV escape letdown will forever bug. Some people are like "whatevs" but really, if they hadn't made such a big deal out of Mr. Cool panicking like Steve Buscemi I wouldn't have cared either. It just seemed like an odd thread to drop; just plain old lazy. And now DumpsterGate. Bah humbug.
  13. Hey there BrokenRemote, thanks for dropping in. Was on my own here for a while. I posted all this stuff before the relationships thread was created. In response to your reply, I don't think it would be on the basis of that scene, but rather all the scenes afterwards, in the remainder of season 3, and then seasons 4 and 5. Not much of note in season 6 so far though. I will probably continue any Richonne talk in the relationships thread (or not; I tend to save my shipping talk for a different board).
  14. This is a good point. Moral compasses always die. And they have made Morgan unlikeable to a sizeable portion of the audience. While he may not be A5 he has the season 1 pedigree. So all the boxes are checked off....
  15. Your logic is impeccable as always, Cletus. But don't Mums know best? *WINK*
  16. Which is fair, I mean I feel I've been Lucilled by these writers before. Assholes. But I guess the top 3 contenders are Abe, Daryl and Glenn. Abe is tricky: not as big of an impact as the other 2, who are Atlanta 5. And death by Lucille needs to have impact. So it's down to Daryl or Glenn. Glenn is supposed to come back as Dark!Glenn after his ordeal. TWD has an annoying habit of making its characters really, really unlikeable before killing them off (Hershel excepted, I think). So that's possible... but having Glenn's almost-death would make it anticlimactic -- but it will still surprise people, who think he's "safe" now he survived almost-death. Daryl would also be surprising because it's assumed he has massive amounts of plot armor. There's the Daryl fan rioting thing -- but that meme has kind of died off, thank goodness. But AMC 100% owns the Daryl character. He's the wild card not in the comics. They could do so much with him but maybe he's better off Lucilled. I dunno.
  17. I think somehow (hope maybe) that JDM will elevate the Negan material. I think he brings a lot to the table. But no matter what, I just want to enjoy watching this damned teevee show, rather than it be some damned chore I have to do every Sunday night (Governor episodes, Beth episodes). Just read the spoiler Q&A for episode 7 and yep, Glenny was hiding out under the dumpster the whole time. Turtle-murderer Enid spies him from her perch up on the roof (where season 1-5 Glenn would have gone) and drops down some water to him. Denise and Carol find the tied-up Wolf and Richonne grills Morgan on his "all life is precious" shtick. The tower falls and a bunch of other stuff happens. LOL. BONUS ITEMS: BETSY'S LETTER MACHETE TRAINING "WHAT ARE YOU SO SCARED OF" ASSHOLE GIVING RICK THE BIRD Yep, I saw that gif of JDM smashing Lucille down on something/someone. Spec is that the audience "gets Lucilled."
  18. True! But Andrew Lincoln ships Richonne and so does his Mum. I'm with them. Now it goes without saying it all comes down to interpretation. I'm not here to convince anyone but I do enjoy all points of view on the subject. I also think they haven't done such a fantastic job writing romantic relationships on this show so if it remains in the Land of Speculation I think I'd be okay with that.
  19. Dammit wasn't done. Stupidphone. As for Abe and Sasha, I noticed him checking her out in 5b which also made me shudder but I thought he was just worried about her obvious PTSD. When they were doing the death march (dog dinner time) and Abe was swilling from a mickey and he offered some to Sasha and she said it'll only make things worse... They had a few of these one-off offhand scenes that could be interpreted as a comrades-in-arms type thing but now we see it meant more (to Abe at least, who made the first move). And now they've spent most of the day as the co-grand marshals of the walker parade. So I think the writing has meant to convey to us the coming together of these two individuals but the fact that many didn't see it coming doesn't say much for how it was executed.
  20. God forgive me but I'm going to defend the writing. Well, defend may be too strong a word.... Anyway, I think in 5b they tried to do just that. As someone pointed out, when Abe knocked the water bottle out of Rosita's hand and looked ready to knock Rosita to the ground, Maggie had to point her gun at his head to make him stop. I think that must've put a damper on their relationship somewhat. We did briefly see them together after that but none of the playful banter a la "dolphin smooth" *shudder*
  21. I thought for sure she and Eugene were going to be the nerd couple of the season. Eugene (incredulously): You're a doctor? Denise (sarcastically): Are you?.... *stifles laughter* Sorry, I heard the story. That was one snappy little exchange and it made me LOL (as do most Eugene scenes). I would've totally went with that ship.
  22. ^^^yes I originally thought they were trying to make it appear that the ASZ has made these hardened zombie slayers soft but I don't buy it. They haven't been there nearly long enough for me to get on board with that scenario.
  23. Same deal with Michonne staring slackjawed at Betsy's husband getting chomped; with Maggie's hamfisted fumbling with the sewer walker; hell, let's add Glenn getting trapped in an alley at all. Lots of moments where the zombie killing machines of the last several seasons falter and behave like it's their first time let loose in the ZA world. Why they are doing this to these characters remains a mystery to me.
