Also note the following quote from the above-cited article, which admits to the comics being a "soap opera" but is totally fine with it...

Interesting that the Arrow writers chose to tweet this... (Collider article was previously posted.)

Interesting. Thanks for the comics update!

And here we go - Oliver & Felicity weren't even included as an option... USD POLL : Who Is Your All Time Favorite Romantic Couple from Marvel and/or DC Comic Universe? Posted by DarkUFO at January 15, 2017 http://www.spoilertv.com/2017/01/usd-poll-who-is-your-all-time-favorite.html

I read the fan theory that Oliver will bring Felicity back into the light (or harness her light) this season. However, what if - like the 100th episode Lauriver wedding - what actually happens in this back half is that Oliver brings Tina into the light. We know that Tina "has a problem" with Oliver and his vigilante team. Maybe it's because she thinks vigilantes should work alone or maybe it's because she's more like S1 Oliver - all kill, all the time. Maybe she's Helena 2.0 (or Sara 2.0). We know Tina also had her "island" and forms a "connection" with Oliver. He was unsuccessful in converting Helena, so maybe he'll be successful in converting Tina. I mean, this season really has been a F.U. to Olicity fans. So why not take one more desired/expected Olicity storyline and give it to someone else.

Team Arrow is now on a budget. The Vigilante can't fit into Laurel's old Black Canary suit that's hanging unused in its glass case in the Arrow Bunker. Tina is not only female but conveniently also has a similar body type to Laurel. TVLine paraphrased some of what was originally reported in Variety. Here's the original source quote... http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/juliana-harkavy-arrow-cast-walking-dead-1201906144/

SA facebook live video chat from yesterday (Jan. 12)... https://www.facebook.com/stephenamell/videos/1268009643284300/ -- SA: "Arrow's back. Not this Wednesday, but the Wednesday thereafter. I haven't talked a lot about the show since we went off the air... in December, after our 100th episode and our fall finale - our winter finale, mid-season finale, whatever it's called... But, uh, we are in the thick of it now. We are filming our 15th episode of the season. And I'm very proud of the latter half of the show. I mean, I'm always proud of the show. And I don't know that I've been live - well, I have been live. But I don't know if I've discussed with you guys since we got a 6th season. It's pretty incredible. We're going to be able to make 138 episodes of the show - unless The CW wants us to do one more per year, which is always possible, even though I begged them not to. I'm kidding, but 23 is enough. Seriously. We have such a great infrastructure on Arrow, from our cast to our crew to our writers to our producers to the network that distributes our show and the studio that founded it. Um. All of those people deserve a very special thanks, but the people who deserve the most thanks are you - our fans from all over the world. Um. You guys are the ones who made this happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you... Thank you." -- SA: "We are going to do some semi-regular Q&A's on the page. Um. I've got, uh, my buddy Zacko working with me now on the facebook page, to curate some questions. And those will probably happen in the live format. I'll try to make them at a semi-regular time, and I think that it would be fun to maybe do them on a Thursday, after an episode of Arrow has aired. And, uh, we'll create a theme for the Q&A, try to answer some new questions, just give you guys a little bit of a sneak peek, and I will definitely put a spoiler warning if it's a live video. I promise, I promise, I promise." -- SA: "Working out with T3 Athletics. Worked out with Josh Segarra today. I'd suggest, if you're ever doing a personal training session, bring a friend. Josh and I did this one exercise today where it was just three different grips of pushups and comibined, we had to do a hundred. So I went, and then he goes. Then I go, and then he goes. And by the end, you're alternating doing two, three pu - chinups at a time. Fantastic stuff, as always, from Tom at T3 Athletics."

Since the EPs often use the comics for story inspiration, I took another look at the DC comics' version of Prometheus. Like everything else in comics, there seems to be several versions of this character. However, I found the following description of "Imposter Prometheus" interesting because it mentions Green Arrow, Talia al Ghul, the Birds of Prey, and a villain group called the Secret Society of Super Villains*. Then there's the Prometheus version in the Rise & Fall series which mentions Prometheus' "specialty" and the conflict between GA and his then ladylove BC (see below). So I'm wondering if the Arrow EPs adapted any of these comics elements in developing their Prometheus storyline for Arrow this season (perhaps using different characters). I'm also wondering if they're now evolving Oliver from hero to hunter... (* The Secret Society of Super Villains was the enemy of the Justice League of America. This season in the Arrowverse, there's a villain group called the Legion of Doom, and the Justice Society of America already made an appearance.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus_(DC_Comics)#Arrowverse https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Arrow#Cry_for_Justice_.26_Rise_and_Fall GREEN ARROW’S REASON FOR KILLING PROMETHEUS March 27, 2015 by chan https://comicnewbies.com/2015/03/27/green-arrows-reason-for-killing-prometheus/ Justice League - the Rise and Fall Special #1 - DC Sunday, March 14, 2010 http://comicinsight.blogspot.com/2010/03/justice-league-rise-and-fall-special-1.html
