I hope that The CW and Arrow EPs are not so stupid as to drop EBR from the show. They must understand the popularity of Emily and her character. If, for some crazy reason, they bought into some (biased) sites' claims that she's now the most hated character in the Arrowverse (for which there's no proof), those Dec. 2016 Hollywood Reporter polls for "Hollywood's 50 Favorite Female Characters of All Time" would surely have set them straight. I mean, Felicity Smoak was voted #15 by industry professionals and #1 by fans. Moreover, in the industry poll, Felicity was the only CW star (if you exclude The WB's Buffy and Charmed) and - for those who dismiss her as just another tech geek girl - Felicity was the only tech geek girl character on that list. That said, if, for whatever reason, Arrow is headed down a path that I won't enjoy watching, then I'd almost prefer it if EBR was cast as the star of another TV show so that I could drop Arrow.

EW.com published spoilery Natalie Abrams articles on Flash and LoT yesterday (just posted on page 249 of Mind Your Surroundings thread). So there'll probably be an Arrow article posted there sometime today.

That's why I said "FWIW" (For What It's Worth). I know that Talia is first mentioned in the 511 synopsis. However, the initial casting news said that Talia would debut in 510. So either something changed, or she only briefly appears in 510. I guess we'll find out this week...

I have the DVDs for S1-S4 of Arrow. Even with the romance pivot away from O/L after S1, you could see a (more or less) natural and organic progression in both Oliver's character and his relationships with Felicity and Diggle. It was believable that he would turn to his two closest crime-fighting allies and that his friendship with Felicity would bloom into romance. But S5 is an anomaly. It's not natural and it's not believable. At this point, I have no desire to get the S5 DVD.

I think that S2 of Blindspot is better than S1. But like all of Berlanti's current tv shows, it's got its flaws. I don't like the tattoos gimmick and for much of S1, Jane had this deer-in-the-headlights look which got annoying after awhile. In S2, the lead guy Kurt Weller has improved but could still use some work (although I've seen the actor in other roles, where he excelled). The supporting cast is still weak, including fan fave Patterson. However, I find myself watching for the relationship between Jane and her brother Roman. In fact, I may be watching Blindspot live instead of Arrow next week.
