Another possibility is that she does know and was just lying being coy so as not to reveal spoilers. I mean, we already know that Laurel's appearing in Arrow 501 (giving her last words to Oliver). KC apparently said the following at the Salt Lake City Comic Con on Sep. 1 http://comicbook.com/2016/09/06/katie-cassidy-says-laurel-lance-will-appear-in-arrow-season-5-pr/

TWD Season 7 Anticipation - Evil Cliffhanger from Hell
tv echo replied to HalcyonDays's topic in S07
I wasn't sure which thread to post this in... The Walking Dead: Greg Nicotero says show has gone to 'significant lengths' to protect cliffhanger secret BY DALTON ROSS September 6 2016 — 10:40 AM EDT http://www.ew.com/article/2016/09/06/walking-dead-greg-nicotero-cliffhanger -
I came across this tweet and thought it was interesting. Zack Stentz was a screenwriter for The Flash, X-Men: First Class and Thor (among other things) and also a producer for Fringe and Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. He's now a consulting producer for Season 3 of The Flash... That tweet sent me investigating the three people mentioned... Emily Nussbaum is a TV critic for The New Yorker and has not voiced any opinion about the Arrowverse as far as I know, although she was mentioned in a May 2016 article titled "TV Criticism So White and Male" in The Clyde Fitch Report, which also mentioned Flash and Arrow: Maureen (Mo) Ryan is a TV critic for Variety and one of the co-hosts for the Talking TV with Ryan & Ryan podcast, which has reviewed Arrow/Flash in the past (I believe). She used to write for The Huffington Post, including this 2013-14 article titled "'Arrow' (And The Flash) Hit The Target", which included these comments: BlackGirlNerds.com published an article titled "Why We Don’t Need Black Canary: Arrow’s Reality vs Comic Book Mythos" earlier this year (the headline is self-explanatory, the article is a good read).

The Arts Guild interview with KC at Fan Expo Canada this past Sunday (Sep. 4) - I transcribed only one segment, there's more... Katie Cassidy talks ‘Arrow’, Laurel Lance, and the DC TV Universe at Fan Expo 2016 ADNAN M.SEPTEMBER 6, 2016 http://www.theartsguild.com/2016/09/06/katie-cassidy-arrow-laurel-lance-fan-expo-2016/ -- KC: "In this universe, anything can happen. Yes, at the end of season 4, we say good-bye to Laurel, which was obviously really hard for me to do, but at the same point, I was looking at it from a creative aspect - I understand, because it basically gives the producers and writers, you know, this platform to jump off of for all the other characters - how they're going to react to Laurel being dead. And killing off a main character is a good place to go for story, for, you know, to get everybody else's reaction to that actual death. Um, as far as if we see her again? I hope so, uh, and I certainly think that there's a way to make that happen - whether it be through flashbacks or, you know, on Legends, there's time travel and then I play Laurel's, uh, doppelganger on Flash as the Black Siren. And this is the best group of people I have ever worked with in all three shows. And, uh, Uh, I just - I love it there. I love our crew, I love our cast, they're like family to me. And as sad as it is again that I, you know, sorta had to say goodbye to Laurel, I don't think that means - I think, again, physically saying goodbye, as opposed to, I think, emotionally. She's still going to be carried on with the show - live in the show and move the show, whether I'm there or not. Um, I certainly hope I'm there. But we'll see - it was a blast. And I am not ready to [unintelligible word] move on yet."

Full SA panel from Aug. 28 at HVFF-San Jose - transcribed only spoilerish info (plus a few nonspoilerish bits)... Heroes and Villains Fan Fest San Jose Video #6 Published on Sep 4, 2016, by steven alvarez -- On whether Oliver & Felicity ever had the kid talk, SA: "Nope. Probably. I don't know. Good question. The show probably needs kids at some point. You should pay attention to Season 5. Not the way you think. Except maybe." -- On the relationship between Oliver & Felicity, SA: "The relationship between Oliver and Felicity in Season 5 is very much a partnership. They are the two remaining members of Team Arrow. And they are trying to manage what they managed before, except that we had a big team." -- SA: "The Earth-2 version of Oliver would be super relaxed. He'd hang out. We'd do an entire episode where on an early Saturday morning, he, like, went and got his hair cut. Took a nap... I don't know if he'd go to Home Depot. I don't know if there'd be enough time... Um, I do think there will be an opportunity this year to see a version of Oliver where he is not, um, committed to the idea of being the Green Arrow. (Audience goes "oooh!") Oh shut up, you're going to love it. It's a really good idea. It's a really good idea. Maybe. But uh, yeah. I would love an Oliver that's way more relaxed. Remember that episode of Breaking Bad where Aaron Paul and, uh, Bryan Cranston were just in the lab and there was a bee - or a bug or a something - it's a fly? Thanks, Encore. That's my buddy Encore. Um, yeah. It would be really cool for Arrow to have an episode like that - like a departure. But we're going to have that opportunity this year, I think." -- On what characters would he like to see join Team Arrow that we haven't seen yet, SA: "In my dream scenario, the two new members of Team Arrow are the Huntress and Deathstroke. -- On his favorite scene to film with EBR, SA: "Well, I'm probably always going to be partial to our first scene together, because that was our first scene together. You know, that was the first time that I met her. We sat in a conference room in an office building in the CBC in Vancouver, and got to chat and get to know each other, and then film a scene. So I'm always going to be partial to that scene." -- On whether he thinks anyone in Star City believes the Green Arrow is not the Arrow and, if they do, how do they feel about the Arrow versus the Hood, SA: "I think that, uh, Season 5 will bring a lot of things full circle. And one of the things it will probably bring full circle is the whole idea of the Arrow, the Green Arrow, the Hood, the Vigilante, the Hood guy - whatever else Paul Blackthorne called me." On whether there'll be a Green Arrow 2, SA: "No, no, no... the Green Arrow is the Green Arrow. That's the end point. It can't be the Green ARROW. He's the Green Arrow. Yeah." -- SA: "One of the things that's exciting about Season 5 is that the show was originally conceived as a five-year idea with the flashbacks and, you know, I certainly think that we're going to have a sixth season. But, um - but at the same time, we're going to close up a lot of points within our fifth season that are very exciting to me right now." -- On whether we'll see the return of the boxing glove arrow, SA: "Hopefully... Like, hopefully, it's not just the return of the boxing glove arrow, but maybe there can just be a boxing glove sticking out of my quiver. I mean, if we're not going to have fun with the boxing glove arrow, then why the f**k are we making the show?" -- SA: "Flashpoint, uh, does affect Season 5 of Arrow. In, um, a subtle way at the beginning and maybe more at the end. And you'll get it. Um, episodes 3, 4, 5-ish." -- SA: "I'm signed through seven seasons of Arrow." -- SA: "Oh, by the way, Oliver has to be a billionaire again soon, okay? This is bullsh*t... which is an actual sentence I said to an EP recently. I said, 'this is bullsh*t, stop it.' He's supposed to be a billionaire. Billionaires are cool." -- SA: "The suit changes in Season 5. That's a good question. Uh, we added sleeves back onto the suit for a variety of reasons. Um, one of the reasons will be explained on the show. But one of the other reasons was that, I'm not a method actor by any means. Um, but I do like to embody my character a little bit. And when you're the Arrow and you're 'uhhg, Arrow' (using deep, growly voice and raising fist), uh, it's a little bit tough when after every take, when you're fiming on a rooftop at 3 o' clock in the morning in November, you go, 'can I have my puffy coat please?' I don't want that... I want to, like, really embody the character. So that was one of many reasons why we added sleeves back onto the suit for this year... And also, it's a nice, um, nod to the character you see in Legends, Oliver in 2046." Also SA: "The new suit has a little more black in it, on the arms. Uh, I like the new suit. The new suit looks badass on screen, which is really cool." -- On whether Oliver and Nyssa will ever get a divorce, SA: "No, probably not... Cause - because. No, I think they probably won't get a divorce because they don't, like - maybe Oliver doesn't recognize, you know, the League of Assassins as a binding legal force. (laughs) I don't have a better answer." -- On which of Felicity, Laurel or Sara would he have a romantic relationship with in real life, SA: "C'mon, man. Uh, pass. I mean, they're all really good friends of mine - some more than others." -- On whether they'll ever return to the kid storyline, SA: "You know what, that's a very important storyline to me. The storyline of, uh, Oliver's son is incredibly important to me. Uh, it's one of my favorite storylines for Oliver and, uh, it is not lost and it will not be forgotten. And that's it." -- SA: "I read the script for Episode 7, which is called Vigilante. Breaking news." -- On whether he knows the whole story of the flashbacks or whether he learns each episode, SA: "Yeah, I... know the rough trajectory of each season and the entire story. Um, and I would say that the flashbacks this year feel really cool, because we have to get to an endpoint now. So they're moving very fast, and Oliver's position in the - Oliver being in Russia is, uh - shoot! - is pretty good. I like it a lot."

Having now watched video of SA/DR's full panel at Salt Lake City Comic Con (on page 472 of Social Media thread), I have deleted the "505/she's the one" fan tweet in the Spoilers thread. At Salt Lake City Comic Con, an audience member mentioned Ben Affeck's tweet about Deathstroke in the new Batman movie and basically asked if MB's Deathstroke is now barred from Arrow. SA replied that that was a misconception and Diane Nelson and Geoff Johns make the best products that they can. Also, SA: "Diane Nelson sent me a very eloquent e-mail and explanation as to why they thought that the cinematic universe and the television universe should remain separate. It was, uh, befitting of someone who has risen to the head of DC Entertainment. And it made perfect sense to me. So, just because there may or may not be a Deathstroke in the DC extended universe, uh, doesn't mean, um - doesn't mean that Manu Bennett can't exist on our show. Just because Will Smith played Floyd Lawton doesn't mean that Michael Rowe won't have the opportunity again, despite the fact that he's dead." SA also said that, if they recast Oliver Queen for a movie version of the Green Arrow, he would be okay with it, although he's not aware of any plans for such a movie. He also said something like how he thought that the DC television universe was doing just fine on their own.

Spoilery tidbits from Saturday's SA/DR panel at Salt Lake City Comic Con (not full panel)- this is the video clip that SA posted on his facebook page yesterday... Arrow Season 5 | Stephen Amell & David Ramsey | Live from Salt Lake Comic Con 2016 -- On how Oliver has changed from S1 to S5 and if he changed for better or worse, SA: "I think that he changed the way that people change in life, which is that you add certain good qualities and you pick up certain bad qualities. One of the things I really enjoy about Season 5 is that, in the flashbacks, I'm playing a version of Oliver that is remarkably close to the version of me in Season 1. And it's been fun to go back to him. Meanwhile, they've been joking in the writers' room and talking with EPs that amongst the group, the team as it were, Oliver at the moment is sort of the optimist. So I'm happy where he is right now. I think he's in a good spot." -- DR demonstrated Diggle's possible reaction to Supergirl. -- DR and SA talked about JB's antics on set. SA: "Not that he hasn't been on the show."
