S01.E09: Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me
Joimiaroxeu replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
Yes, that's my theory too. I'm just not sure whether he knows it. He seemed to be particularly moved by Sam's death so now I'm leaning more toward his knowing. Rebecca is going to be a bigger problem since she knows how Sam died. She's now in a position to blackmail all of them. Wonder who's gonna take her out? -
Yeah, the hair & makeup failed on her yesterday because those shots of Caroline from behind made it clear that there were extensions in there. ICAM. She's a cute girl but she doesn't have a runway model's body and doesn't move like one. The model is basically supposed to be a living clothes hanger and not try to outshine the outfit. Plus the dress was definitely no showstopper. It might have stopped traffic like a bad accident though. I know this show can't come up with it's own original couture but I thought all the dresses were meh. I feel like I've seen all of those dresses before but the show just added a slight variation here and there to make them seem original. They're certainly not good enough to pay tens of thousands of dollars for. But I guess we have to buy into the story that Caroline and Ridge are an AMAZING design team. Well, Gloria does have a certain campy edge to her. I thought she was fine but she doesn't really fit on this show. As far as Eric is concerned, she's way out of his preferred age range by several decades so I don't think there's any danger of a long-distance romance.

TK is in his wheelhouse now. Anyone who had the pleasure of watching the build up on AMC of the romance between Zach and Kendall would recognize several of his "patented" moves being deployed here. I'm surprised it took B&B this long to let him do his thing. Apparently all that's needed is a young, slightly troubled ingenue and he'll bring it. I'm still not on the Ridge&Caroline bandwagon (mostly because of the age difference) but I can appreciate the heat many see in the little dance they're doing.

Hee, it's like, "Heifer, please." I think she has every right to use it against him now. She didn't sleep with Ridge and despite all the shite Maya talks, no one can produce any proof that they did. Meanwhile, Rick and Maya put their sexual affair right in Caroline's face immediately. Rick is still married, hasn't filed for separation or divorce, and is openly flaunting his adultery--with a FC employee no less. He does not, IMO, have the moral high ground and never will unless Caroline starts mirroring his behavior.

So is it assumed that Saul is dead? I can't stand you Carrie but girl, Khan, you need to get on that.

I vote for utterly amazing. She worked him like a pro. Why does that Katie go into hiding when Ridge is making her feel okay about the measly scraps of affection he gives her? And I particularly hate that he does it in front of others, including Maya. All this effort to humiliate her doesn't change what happened and really doesn't seem to be making him feel better so why continue to do it? He's like a little boy playing dress up in men's clothes.

S01.E08: He Has A Wife
Joimiaroxeu replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
I think they may go the route of True Detective or American Horror Story where each season is pretty much a self-contained mini-series. I think some characters like Annalise will carry over but I doubt all of the students or her staff will. -
Gulp, a daytime soap showed actual intercourse? Well, guess that must have slipped under the FCC radar...(I keed, I keed) She won't care. She's gonna get a corporate attorney to arrange an annulment behind Rick's back, apparently after both Rick and Caroline and their entire families develop amnesia. Everyone else will simply be told to mind their own business.

I've been a pretty big fan of TK and loved him on AMC. But I did hear rumors back then that he had certain "issues" and JS (who'd developed some outsized ego problems which pissed off several cast members) wasn't the only one. He may not have had enough clout to refuse certain situations but I believe he had the ability to make things difficult. In the scheme of things it was probably a better solution just to get rid of JS. B&B seems to be unusually responsive to complaints about their actors, yet they've stuck by TK despite all the ragging about his somewhat unkempt appearance, his lack of chemistry the two female leads he's been paired with so far, and Ridge's unexplained vaguely European accent. Seems to me he's got some kind of clout or he'd have been shown the door by now.

Which is only one of the reasons why I doubt we'll ever see Thomas (or Steffy) again as long as TK is playing Ridge. Based on some things that happened while he was on AMC, it's been speculated that he doesn't want to play any characters who have adult children. I'd be okay with her never coming back unless they "take the character in a different direction", as TPTB often say when they do a recast. IMO, Dayzee was way too impressed with herself for having married into the Forrester family via someone who technically wasn't a "real" Forrester. Oh Maya. You are the definition of a mistress. If you and Rick lived in a colder climate it probably would have been a fur coat instead diamond studs.

S01.E08: He Has A Wife
Joimiaroxeu replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
I wasn't suggesting that it was. I said prenups were like car insurance. IMO, committing to marriage and having a prenup are not mutually exclusive. Marriages have failed without prenups and marriages have lasted with them. I don't think prenups are the problem, I think an inability to predict the future is. I'm not sure people--which may include parties beyond just the married couple--should necessarily have to suffer or benefit financially because things don't work out as expected, hoped for, promised, or sworn before God. Or perhaps simply a willingness to stay married in spite of unanticipated infidelity, abuse, lack of/diminishing of mutual love and respect, etc. Yep. It's still my theory that Sam is Wes' father and Annalise knows it. I don't think Sam knows but Wes might. -

I dunno, I see prenups as being like car insurance. Do you buy car insurance because you expect to get into accident? (Well, other than it being legally required, that is.) No, you get it just in case. Prenups are just in case, IMO. Or not marry the guy to begin with. I think his possibly being gay was too interesting a plot point to drop in for no reason, especially since the fling was with someone Michaela knows and who doesn't mind bragging about it. My guess is Michaela will use that bit of into to shut her future MIL down. There will probably still be a prenup but it may be negotiated to be more favorable to Michaela, i.e., if she ever discovers Aiden having another gay fling the family will pay her generously for a quiet divorce. Of course, this all assumes his family (or at least mommy dearest) doesn't already know Aiden might be on the DL. -
ICAM. I hate to say it but this show is starting to get the SNL syndrome where sketches go on too long and their endings seem to come from nowhere.

Hope was so pathetic. During her modeling scenes I felt like I was watching some weird remake of Zoolander with Hope putting on her best Magnum, Ferrari, Le Tigre and Blue Steel faces. And why did it need to become a challenge match between her and Ivy like some kind of modeling version of a dance-off?

I don't think Yahoo owns them but there seems to have been a mutual admiration society going on. Up until fairly recently Examiner was including a lot of articles which referenced or cited Yahoo. Apparently Yahoo was operating a subsite which was similar to the Examiner model where writers get paid largely based on how many clicks their articles receive. It seems Yahoo shut that operation down late this past summer. Maybe some writers were contributing to both sites or have since migrated over to Examiner. Whatever, since Yahoo is a more "reputable" brand, it may give Examiner some weight to have some of their articles linked there. However, it's still true that much of what appears on Examiner is unsubstantiated rumors cleverly written to sound like facts.

Thanks. Just goes to show how little I care about the character. If he's been divorced all this time why haven't he and Alicia hit the sheets yet? Sure there was a conflict of interest since his former job is prosecuting Cary but it's not like Alicia's ethics haven't already been proven to be flexible. I guess the producers of this show are in the bag for HRC? I didn't think the episode was being very subtle about presenting many of the same arguments people have against her (via the focus group woman who kept going back and forth on her opinion of Alicia) and then shooting them down one-by-one. Perhaps IL voters are assumed to be inured to all manner of shady/shaky politics because I don't see how the sitting governor's wife running for the state's highest elected legal office passes anyone's smell test.
-
Yeah, I was confused by that. Since when is he divorced? Of course this means he and Alicia will become a couple but now that he's no longer in the SA's office, where's the drama? I don't remember that at all. It really must have been a fleeting moment. Me too. I guess I don't pay enough attention when I'm watching this show because I don't understand how she came to be under his thumb. Whatever, I agree with the comment upthread that her exit from the show should probably include her killing him. He's like a cartoon villain at this point.
