Cass's hat is ridiculous, but part of the Derby experience is ridiculous hat wearing, so...good job in that respect, I guess? I just hope everyone in her vicinity came out of the evening with their eyeballs intact because of the branch hazard.

The cast and crew’s farewell on social media may have raised some people’s expectation that the show was going to make a bigger deal out of it than it is, but there’s no way Beth is intentionally trying to turn these fans off of watching the show.

There's no way that Beth wants to cut loose any part of Arrow's fanbase when the show only has 12 episodes left.

Eh, well - agree to disagree. I would always be happy for more, but I thought they were great for what they were and definitely better than the nothing that some other shows get. I never argued that Olicity was a priority for Beth, just that she likes Felicity and the ship, so the idea of her sitting in a room with the other writers specifically going out of their way to spite people is ludicrous to me. She's just a terrible planner, like Marc and Wendy were before her. It shows in literally every other storyline in this show, not just Olicity.

We did get a few scenes. Some pretty great ones, in fact, especially post-pregnancy in 15 and 18. I get being dissatisfied - I would've liked to have seen more too! But acting like we haven't gotten anything is just silly, especially when the alternative could've really been getting nothing.

No. Beth has said herself that she loves Felicity/Olicity, and I don’t think she’s ever done anything that makes it seem like that’s not true. This show has never been great at managing its time or storylines well, and this isn’t any different. They have two episodes to close out a shitload of storylines because of that awful time management. Much as I personally would’ve enjoyed a farewell extravaganza with Felicity/Olicity-focused storylines, that wasn’t ever going to happen.

I was surprised to find out she's as old as she is because the show writes her like a petulant little brat.

Why would Dinah covering up crimes surprise you? She covered up for Laurel's little spree just a couple of weeks ago. If Emiko wasn't already a murderer at least two times over - with no hope of being held accountable for those crimes - the setup would leave more of a sour taste in my mouth. But she's a killer, she's getting away with it, so...eh. It's why Laurel being set up for Diaz's murder didn't bother me, because even though she didn't kill him, she did kill, uh...a whole lot of other people and was getting away with it. And will continue to get away with it, because thanks Dinah! Part of the reason why she didn't say anything about the Gambit plan was because she was mad that Robert didn't give her money to start a business, so she was definitely not an adolescent teen. If she's old enough to come up with a concrete business plan that impresses her billionaire father, she's old enough to be held accountable for keeping her mouth shut and letting a boat load of people get blown up.

Maybe being her buddy is why he was able to become mayor of his lil walled off metropolis while everyone else had to go into hiding?

Right? She's such a petulant baby, I'm surprised she wasn't making rash emotional decisions that ruined things for her a long time ago. I rewatched the bunker scene to see if it was as awful as I thought it was initially and it's actually somehow worse? I've decided Dinah looking 20 years older than she should is karmic payback for being terrible.

I'm sad that poor Roy is going to enter into a Mark of 4 agreement with two assholes who didn't want to have his back and thought they were more important in the pecking order than someone who was there before they were. Roy has more honor in a singular parkour flip than Dinah and Rene do in their entire bodies. Remember when he went to jail for Oliver? They could/would never. 😭

She had to be the one asking the questions here so that there's taped evidence of her covering up for Roy murdering those two cops. It was a plot personnel decision!

Felicity better not be the only person with a warrant considering the footage Emiko turned in to the SCPD plus the recorded footage from the interrogation showed that everyone was involved in that cover up.

I guess if the city was going to turn on the vigilantes for anything, covering up a murder to protect Roy is one of the least stupid ways they could do it, but it's still stupid. Emiko just magically happens to get to the security footage before Felicity? Sure, okay. I'm glad Oliver's not being a dumbass about his awful sister - that's a pleasant surprise. Loved Roy. Loved Roy and Oliver's talk. Shame about the other 50-ish minutes.
