  1. He doesn't sound like an ungrateful dickhead to me. He said he thought Emily was terrific and that Beth did a good job at wrapping up her storyline - and she did. If he considers Felicity's storyline to be finished, of course he would want a return to make sense in that context. As much as I enjoy Felicity and Emily, I don't know that there's much point in her coming back if they aren't changing the timeline. I would personally rather the last moments I remember of Felicity be what we saw in 7x22. It was the perfect ending for her. That said, I'm sure that Beth wouldn't have to do much to make a return "make sense" if Emily wanted to do it, and I'm also sure that Pedowitz would jump at the chance to have her back if they could make it work.
  2. I'm not sure - when Dinah showed the tattoo to William she said that Oliver came up with it. So I guess he designed it before he skipped town and they all did something with it? Roy knew what it was when he saw it on the paper tucked inside Oliver's bow. I guess when Dinah mentioned that they should find a way to remember the "four pillars of heroism" (LOL) we were to understand that they then all went out and got some tats. I hope someone got it as a tramp stamp.
  3. I think that was the general consensus on what was going to happen simply because we didn't know what Oliver's bargain was, but we did know that he wasn't around in the flash forwards on Arrow. In the Arrow finale, Oliver asks, "What bargain have I made? What does the Multiverse require?" And the Monitor replies with, "You assist me as we seek to prevent the inevitable." I think he's going to spend his time in Season 8 recruiting people and/or setting things up for the Crisis crossover. The Monitor did tell Oliver he was going to die during the Crisis, but that wasn't part of his bargain, so I think it's safe to say that it wasn't a 1:1 exchange as you feared.
  4. Do you not think that this is what's happening? Barry and Kara were going to die as a direct result of using their powers to stop Deegan from rewriting reality in Elseworlds. Oliver stepped in and made a deal to stop that from happening. His deal with the Monitor isn't to die in their place, it is to—in the Monitor's own words—"assist me as we seek to prevent the inevitable." So it seems as if Oliver's deal places him in the Monitor's servitude to do whatever needs to be done leading up to the Crisis, and he dies as something that happens as part of that, not in place of Barry and Kara's arc in the comics. It seems like that arc has either been prevented by Oliver's actions and something else will happen to them in the Crisis, or maybe there's a similar event with the two of them in the Crisis crossover. We don't even know what Oliver's actually going to be doing as part of his deal yet.
  5. I could see the show ending with Crisis. They pretty much concluded Arrow's story in this year's finale. The only thing we're missing info on is how exactly the anti-vigilante stuff takes root and becomes what we see in the future. If that doesn't start happening next year, then they really don't have much to show apart from defeating the Ninth Circle, and the team could do that in present time before the crossover happens. If Oliver's ~death sticks, then there really isn't much to explore - we've already seen the aftermath of it in the flash forwards. If Oliver's death doesn't stick, then we could just see a shot of him reuniting with Felicity and Mia (assuming Emily returns or they've shot this scene already) or just returning to the cabin and walking inside with a, "Felicity?" so that we know the timeline has changed. Most of what happens after would be left up to our imagination anyway.
  6. Yeah, I figured the whole show would end in 2019, I was just curious about whether it was going to also serve as Arrow's finale, if it's the episode before, etc.
  7. Has anyone mentioned when the crossover is going to be?
  8. Agreed. Barry can rot. I just want Oliver to come out of this and get to see his kids grow up.
  9. Yes. They tend to be of the more delusional sort but I can't tell if it's because that's what they genuinely believe or if they're just trying to troll Olicity shippers. I tend to think the former, just based on posting history LOL.
  10. As much as Arrow likes to hit people over the head with things - I think they needed to be a little more clear about where exactly she was going. It makes sense if you're familiar with the Crisis comics, but if you weren't thinking about it super hard and you thought Oliver was legit dead-as-we-know-it dead, I could see being a little confused by Monitor telling her that she couldn't come back. It was easy to understand that she was going to see him, but where and how was a little muddy. Some people who—granted, have a stake in not believing that O/F got their happily ever after—think she just...went off with Monitor somewhere, lmao.
  11. Diggle's like, "Must be nice! Fingers crossed no one erases her!"
  12. So, I'm just gonna call BS on the Monitor's whole spiel. He cannot prevent Oliver's death, but he's asking Oliver to assist him as they "seek to prevent the inevitable." HE IS ON SOME SHIT, I'm still gonna hope it gets reversed.
  13. Being a time fucker is baked right into that Allen DNA.
  14. You know before Oliver left she demanded the Monitor's cell #, his multiverse SSN, his mother's maiden name, his email address, his other email address, and two forms of government-issue ID.
  15. Maybe he used Ouija every day and Oliver never answered back.
  16. Yeah, neither one of these things make sense. Unless someone else starts hooding up as Green Arrow next season and the idiots of Star City can't tell the difference again, Oliver disappeared when they were still on relatively good terms and was never seen again after Crisis? And as for William...I can't even attempt to explain that one.
  17. It's just nothing but Dinah and Rene fucking up all over the place, haha.
  18. 😭 ::whispers:: Barry isn't worth losing all this, Oliver, let him die
  19. So...when does the anti-vigilante propaganda pop up? In like...10 years or did I miss something in the future alluding to it?
  20. The Monitor showed up after Mia was born to tell Oliver it was time to help with Crisis - he told Oliver that he died in the event. In the future, Felicity took William and Mia to Oliver's grave so that they could "all be together one last time." Then the Monitor showed up to take her to Oliver - forever, I'm guessing. He told her that she could never come back to earth.
  21. It was mostly boring but the last 15 minutes? Perfection. I'm perfectly happy with this being the end of the line for me.
  22. There there, it's gonna be okay.
  23. Not everyone can be the absolute special-est boy like Barry!
  24. Is Beth gonna have to do the same PSA that MG and AK did at the end of S3 so people don't get confused about this being the end of the show?
