  1. Katie posted an Insta story of her cat. He's sitting on a script page - IDK which episode it's for but I guess it's 9. You can make out "will establish new and im(proved?)" and "futuristic buil(dings?)" Hopefully that's a new and improved Star City - all I care about during filming of this pilot are any clues that the timeline might be changed. 🤞
  2. So I'll be crying as well, just not in the way that they meant for me to.
  3. The name is Green Arrow (one person) and the Canaries (multiple people). Another character can become Green Arrow, but the title implies that there is only one at a time. There's still something special about the Green Arrow mantle; the show has removed any kind of distinctiveness from the Canary mantle.
  4. Any clue about what’s supposed to happen in that episode?
  5. They could not have cast a more perfect combination of people to get fandom to talk about this show. That combo kills any bit of interest I would've had in it, but all the fighting back and forth is fun, and probably more buzz than this show would've gotten otherwise, so...good work I guess?
  6. Aside from Arrow, the only other shows I watch are The Good Place (which is also ending) and Succession.
  7. There's a reason if "the Canaries" is referring to the Canary Network that's set up in the future. If Zoe is the latest Canary to get killed off, then Dinah and Laurel are the only ones that anyone would recognize/care about despite there being a whole group of them. I personally don't care who's the lead or when it takes place because I'm not going to watch it, but Arrow has made it very clear that whoever's a Canary at the moment doesn't matter, that they can easily be replaced by someone else, which is probably why there's so much doubt around whether they're the center of the show or not.
  8. Why would that surprise you? She's in a supporting role now, one that she signed up for multiple times.
  9. If there are some post-Crisis changes for Laurel, I feel bad for casual watchers trying to figure out which version of her they're watching, since by that point there will have been about 5.
  10. Every Canary on this show seems to be interchangeable, so why not?
  11. I choose to believe she was lying about losing Oliver because the thought of her becoming a mass murderer over the accidental death of her father that she considered to be her fault is hilariously Laurel to me.
  12. I would believe that she feels grief and trauma over not being able to complete her newfound mission before I'd believe she felt grief and trauma over people losing their lives and a whole earth being destroyed, so it might not be so bad if they go this route.
  13. Oh I wouldn't be surprised either, they just - as per usual - didn't put in the work to get us there. People who like Laurel won't care though, so I guess it doesn't matter, haha.
  14. I hope they don't spend too much time on this. All we know about her home planet is that she spent a whole lot of time killing people on it, that she had a sister and a niece/nephew, that she forged a bitchy working relationship with The Hood, and was friendly enough with Tommy Merlyn that they shared a drink at Oliver's welcome home party. They never gave us any indication that she actually cared about anyone a whole lot considering that for 95% of last season she'd rather hide behind E-1 Laurel's identity to live the good life rather than go home, face the consequences (of which it seems there were none) for what she'd done, and see the people she loved enough that their loss would cause her "grief and trauma."
  15. Since he mentions that there "really cool team-ups," I wonder if Oliver's traveling around with a bunch of people or if everyone's off on little sub teams working together toward a common goal. If it's the latter, please team Dinah and Laurel together so I get additional bathroom breaks, thank you!
  16. They don’t have to kill her to make way for another Canary, but death or permanent maiming of a predecessor is how it works on this show. Sara got shot and did a dumpster dive, Laurel got her spot. Laurel got an arrow to the gut, got temporarily taken over by Evelyn, then permanently taken over by Dinah. Then E-2 Laurel starts her “redemption,” and oop! Can’t have two birds flying around with the same power, gotta have a serial killer cut out of their tweeters permanently. RIP Dinah’s cry! Maybe Zoe doesn’t die or die for her successor(s), but there’s a good reason why people think that might be happening.
  17. We barely knew ye. You are but one of many (both living and dead).
  18. 8x04 ARROW“Present Tense” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV) ECHO KELLUM GUEST STARS – When a mysterious new Deathstroke appears in Star City, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Team Arrow insist on taking down this villain themselves. Meanwhile reeling from the loss of one of their own, the future Team Arrow figures out a new way to try and stop JJ. Kristin Windell directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Jeane Wong (#804). Original airdate 11/5/2019.
  19. She was wearing that outfit at the end of the episode when she was at the police station - that’s the background in the photo.
  20. I know I’m setting myself up for 🤡 status, but Diggle repeatedly trying to convince Oliver that they could change his fate gave me hope.
  21. Yes, he was in the closing credits billed as a "Special Guest Star".
  22. Not that they're a major indicator, but I would say these likes, uh, maybe don't set the right tone. I mean it's fine for me! I'm a messy bitch who loves drama, but...
  23. Also, I think this episode really benefited from not having a lot of Dinah and Rene in it. I did enjoy Oliver being snarky to Dinah as she was lying in a heap after going head over ass down the stairs. I can't believe they put that wretched drag in a spin-off they want people to actually watch.
