  1. This show would really be stretching the limits of the number of younger women I would reasonably believe are named Dinah. Unless she's, like, Laurel and Sara's cousin or something who has the family name. Which...being a Lance blood relative would up her chances of being Oliver's new LI. Heh.
  2. I really don't get the trolling thing because I don't think the original person who posted about the wedding ever gave any implication that was between Oliver and Felicity - the fandom did that on their own. (Maybe I'm wrong?). There is a wedding scene being filmed apparently, it doesn't really matter that it's not in a "real" timeline. And I think he means there's no wedding because the wedding itself is not real, because it's happening in some other timeline/Earth/whatever than the one the show actually takes place in.
  3. I don't think there will ever be another Black Canary on this show. I do think it's possible there will be a puce, chartreuse or aubergine Canary though, provided Laurel LITERALLY didn't want to be the last Canary, and wasn't just telling Oliver to train a bunch of random n00bs.
  4. Imagine him and SA at a restaurant somewhere trying to figure out the tip.
  5. I think half of the non-romantic conflict they write is kind of stupid, so to me their problem is mainly conflict, not necessarily conflict in romantic relationships, haha. But I definitely get your point.
  6. I think they're fine at writing functioning relationships for the most part - what they really suck at is writing obstacles/angst/anything that isn't the pair being happy.
  7. I looked, but I'm having trouble finding it - anyone have the casting info for "Tina"? I thought she was supposed to be more of a fighter - and not saying that this person can't pull that off, I was just looking at her Twitter and website, and I can't find anything indicating she's done any kind of physical roles before. I was expecting someone more like a Caity - who had a little more physical background with the dancing and parkour and whatnot. Maybe she's playing someone else?
  8. Uh...no? I wrote that this was a board with Olicity shippers. Not an Olicity shipper board. But your comment indicated that people here were talking like Arrow has to keep writing to Olicity, when I don't recall anyone saying such a thing? I feel like you've been around long enough to know that you're on a board with people who want them to keep writing to Olicity. Hence the POV and commentary to that end.
  9. You're on a board with a bunch of Olicity shippers. Is it really so difficult to figure out why people here are interested in this aspect of the story?
  10. I took it that way too. I don't think Wendy was trying to send some kind of signal about how long they've been told to stall the ship, I think she's just really terrible at promoting the show and the "not necessarily this year" was Wendy speak for "keep watching and find out." Personally it's just irritating to have the status/potential future status of Oliver and Felicity's relationship repeatedly hammered home in clickbaity interviews coupled with the promo of newbies, not much at all regarding the original characters that have been with the show since the first season, and doubling down on the show's bleakness. What irritated me more than anything was Wendy's comment about Oliver and Felicity's "lingering feelings," like they just dated for a while and things never quite worked out for them as opposed to being two people who were going to get married. Ugh.
  11. Oh yeah, that would make sense. And like @Carrie Ann, I too am disappointed, haha.
  12. Yeah, he is the worst kind of antagonistic a-hole.
  13. I need sarcasm font with some of these answers. ETA: him not you, haha. Because I couldn't believe he was serious, but it also wouldn't surprise if he was.
  14. Woo, that Tumblr Q&A is a hot mess. That answer about Geoff Johns, just...log out, friend. Hit the red X and call it a day.
  15. Yes, WM has repeatedly mentioned 5x05 as an Olicity episode that will "answer some questions" regarding their ambiguity IIRC. And to be fair, the question did include the word "Olicity-ish" so I think he was just repeating the word in his answer.
  16. My ability to handle ship stalling pre-engagement and near walk down the aisle is pretty much endless. Once they get to that point though, you kind of need to cut the shit.
  17. 5x05 is going to have Felicity mistaking Human Target for Oliver, and getting all up in her feels because she sees him get shot or something. Then she'll probably tell "Oliver" that she still has the feels for him, but surprise! It isn't Oliver. Possible variances include: does Felicity realize it's Human Target Oliver (I think yes) or does Human Target Oliver tell real Oliver (I think no). Then post-ep interviews tell us the next ep to look out for for some kind of glacial movement. Maybe.
  18. I'm pretty sure she just worded it badly. Any normal producer would be like, "Well, they'll always have lingering feelings, but...you'll have to keep watching to find out what happens." She's terrible at building any kind of suspense. I do think the "necessarily" was intended to be the suspenseful word in that sentence, but didn't *quite* make it there.
  19. I think maybe she was just trying to get Felicity's POV on things and since it was lacking in the show, she wrote it herself.
  20. Primarily because for the most part, Oliver was always a good friend and partner to Felicity even before they got together romantically. And also for the most part, from what it seems like given what the show has shown/told us, Oliver wasn't a good friend and partner to Laurel. Not when they were together before the Gambit, and not when he returned to Starling. He treated her like garbage. So, I do think it was pathetic for her to be holding onto her feelings for him after all these years, because he never gave her any reason to. It's not some sweet what might've been scenario where the timing just wasn't ever right between two people who genuinely cared about each other - he never gave her any reason to believe he cared about her at all.
  21. I will preface this by saying that I do realize that there are however many one-shots coming that will likely flesh it out, and that it was mainly written this way because of
