  1. Ari Melber makes me cringe when he starts quoting rap lyrics. Dude you are a middle aged white man and you can't pull it off especially when you are delivering the news. Keep the singing and rapping for the shower, in your car and on random karaoke nights....like the rest of us nerds.
  2. I think Dan is a functional alcoholic. He gets up every day goes to work and takes care of his family but he is dependent on alcohol. While we have rarely seen him out of control drunk, he almost always has a beer in his hand. The fact that he can't/won't go without having a beer during his daughter's first meal on her first night home from rehab speaks volumes.
  3. This X's 1000%. Also, this virus has mutated and become more dangerous. We need to keep wearing masks because we need to protect others. It's the humane and patriotic thing to do. Why can't HRH Meghan, Princess of Arizona understand this. This pandemic has been horrible to live through. Almost 600,000 Americans have died because of it. If wearing a mask until everyone is vaccinated is what we need to do to make us all safe, than we need to stop whining and just do it.
  4. Shawn IS guilty of attempted murder. Sonny ordered him to kill Jake Doe (Drew). Hayden and Drew were both in the garage when Shawn fired and Hayden was shot in the head. It turns out that there was another shooter on the scene who was hired to shoot Hayden. Shawn's shot missed Drew and the other shooter shot Hayden. Shawn was charged with the attempted murder of Hayden when he was really attempting to murder Drew. He was caught red handed by Jordan(?). It does not matter who he was trying to kill, Shawn is still guilty of attempted murder.
  5. The look of disgust on Dante's face when he found Carly in the "meeting room" spoke volumes. Sonny's "death" is her chance to get herself and her children away from the violence of mob life. Instead Carly doubles down and takes over the mob. Her children have been killed and injured due to mob violence but she doesn't care. Carly loves the privilege and power of mob life more than she loves her own children, including her toddler. I hope Dante rips into Carly for being so selfish and for being a pitiful excuse for a mother and human being. She had an out from this life and she did not take it.
  6. Thanks Nilyank, so much has happened this past year that it is hard to keep my soap facts straight. :)
  7. GH production was down for months due to this god forsaken pandemic. I can't remember if things in Port Charles picked up where they left off or had their been a time jump? Did Maxie discover she was pregnant before or after the shut down? Either way this pregnancy has got to be the longest in soap history.
  8. Have we had a scene with Dele and Dottie yet? I can totally see Dottie being an "Auntie Mame" type of grandma to him.
  9. Cyrus stabbed his man in the alley, went into the hospital to order Brando to have the body "cleaned up", got himself down to the scene of the shouting in the parking garage and then attended the meeting of the Five Families. Carly supervised Jason's escape, made her way to the safe house, gave a lifesaving direct blood donation to Jason, went home to put on her best mob moll ensemble and made "an entrance" at the mob meeting. Apparently, one needs to have some mad multitasking skills in order to be a mob kingpin.
  10. This episode made me miss Mr. Rogers. 😢 He was every child's best friend.
  11. Carly will be thrilled to be in prison with Jason. The poor guy can't get away from the Shebeast.
  12. Meghan was not a Rebel Rouser or a Maverick in high school. She was an obnoxious entitled juvenile delinquent who got away with just getting detention because she is the Princess of Arizona. She must have been a nightmare student.
  13. Nick was a total asshole to Miguel but he was able to turn it around and offered Miguel a heartfelt apology. During the past few episodes it has been great to see that Nick has been working the crap out of his program. Nick resented Miguel for having had Jack and The Big Three in his life for all of those years. He was angry at himself for the issues he and Jack had, for not trying harder to reunite with his brother, for his hiding away in his alcoholism and at Jack for dying. He took it out on Miguel, who understood what Nick was going thru but would not put up with Nick's BS. Miguel not only accepted Nick's apology but was able to offer him comforting words about Jack. I hope Toby brings Madison to the next I'm not a Pearson, but I Married One Support Group. She could benefit from hearing Beth and Miguel's experiences.
  14. I really liked Molly's older sister, Charlotte. Their mother had died and she had taken over the household duties for the family. On one episode, she offered to show Roseann her special meatloaf recipe. Roseann's reaction, "You're too young to have a meatloaf recipe.". There were a few episodes that showed Roseann befriending her. Charlotte was very shy and was a good kid. It would be nice if she came back to Landford and befriended Becky. Maybe Charlotte began drinking to deal with her social anxiety and ended up in AA. She and Becky could meet up at a meeting and she could become Becky's sponsor.
  15. I think Maxie is so angry at Anna because she can not afford to go off on Peter. Maxie is now aware of how dangerous Peter is and she is terrified for herself and her unborn daughter. She knows she needs to "play" Peter to keep her and the baby safe. Maxie is not allowing Peter to see her rage so she is unconsciously taking it out on Anna. She loves and trusts Anna, who is a safe person to take her anger out on. Anna seems to understand and has continued to let Maxie know that she will be there to fight Peter if Maxie needs her help. Once Peter is killed or incarcerated and Maxie's family is safe, she and Anna will be fine.
  16. In real life, Michael would have a hard time attracting women. Women would view him as a really nice nerd and they would immediately "friend zone" him.
  17. Hey Juicer, I hope you don't mind my fixing that for you? 😎
  18. Kili, your post put into words everything I have felt about the senior Pearson brothers since Nicky was introduced. Jack and Nicky grew up with a father who was an abusive alcoholic. Their father terrorized them and their mother and both boys were emotionally scarred before Vietnam. Jack was the "strong" one and acted as the protector of his mother and little brother. He was always trying to "fix" things for his family up until the day he died. Nicky was his father's whipping boy. His confidence and self esteem was beaten out of him buy the old man. Where Jack fought back, Nicky became passive in order to survive his father. Even as a 70 year old adult he is plagued by self doubt and the fear that was ingrained in him by his father. Cuts and bruises heal over time but unseen scares of emotional abuse imprint themselves on the mind and soul. Adding to their trauma was the fact that their father's moods changed on a dime. One minute things would be fine then suddenly the dad would go off and violence (emotional or physical) would occur. Growing up with such tension all the time means never letting your guard down. Needing to be "on alert" all the time effects a person's brain chemistry, especially for a child. Both of the brothers were emotionally damaged before they went to Vietnam. When Nicky was drafted, Jack tried to get him to go to Canada. When Nicky refused, Jack volunteered and joined the army so he could go to Vietnam to protect Nicky. Jack had a heart condition which would have disqualified him from joining up and he begged his doctor to help him cover up his condition for his physical. Jack's need to protect and fix things for his loved ones is a part of his mind and soul. It is a compulsion put there by his father. While serving in Vietnam Nicky dealt with the traumas of war by withdrawing into drug use. When Jack found out that Nicky was addicted, he set out to rescue his brother. The tragedy of Nicky accidentally killing the young boy, was emotionally unbearable for both brothers. Nicky's guilt and shame overwhelmed him and he withdrew from life. Jack's guilt and shame of his not being able to "save" Nicky from himself caused him to turn his back on his brother. He had been trying protect Nicky for all of his life and in Jack's mind he had failed his brother. It was easier for him to "kill off" Nicky than deal with such emotional pain. Jack told himself that the death of the young boy was the reason for his estrangement with his brother. In reality, this was the last of the emotional traumas both brothers had suffered together. They had been going through traumas together for all of their lives. The death of the little boy was just too much for both brothers. Both had addiction issues. Nicky is an alcoholic who had lived like a hermit for almost 50 years. He continued to punish himself up until Kevin came into his life. Jack was a functional alcoholic. He was a great husband and father although he never stopped trying to "fix" everything for his family. Towards the end of his too short life, Jack admitted to himself that he was an alcoholic and he got sober. I believe that if Jack had lived he would have reached out to Nicky and there would have been an opportunity for them to heal. Kevin was a recovering alcoholic when he reached out to Nicky. He been working on his issues in therapy and in AA. He was able to help Nicky in a way that Jack couldn't. Kevin is the one of the Big Three that is the most like Jack. It a beautiful thing to see Jack Pearson's son help his Uncle Nicky regain his life.
  19. I think The Princess of Arizona is becoming/has become? a liability for the network. I would not be surprised if the ABC legal and PR teams are working on an "exit strategy" so Meghan can "move on to greener pastures". I wish Ben would try to go after John. It'd be hilarious. If Ben does go after Last Week Tonight he will be on the receiving end of an epic verbal beat down buy John Oliver.
  20. Valentin and Alexis have a bond because they were both grew up on Cassidine island. Helena despised Alexis because she was Mikkos and Kirsten's daughter. Alexis was 6 years old when she watched Helena slit her mother's throat. Mikkos then brought Alexis to live in a house on the island. Helena made it her mission to terrorize little Alexis on a daily basis. Can you imagine what she went through? She must have gone to bed every night praying that Helena would let her live for another day. It's no wonder that she drinks. Valentin was a result of an affair Helena had. He was born with severe physical deformities. Helena wanted to torture Mikkos (and cover up the affair) so she passed Valentin off as Mikkos' illegitimate son. She knew Mikkos would be ashamed to claim a handicapped son and the "reality" of this would be torture for him. Mikkos brought Valentine to live in a house on the other side of the island so he would be out of sight. Alexis and Valentin did not meet until he showed up in Port Charles, however, they are like war buddies. The war they fought was surviving Helena and the other Cassidines. They share the same experiences and understand each other in a way that no one else can. The writers have touched on this with their "misery poker" game but there is so much material to explore. I would love to see Valentine walk in on Sam, Kristina and Molly yelling at Alexis and give them the smack down that they have deserved for years. Valentine could tell them everything that Alexis survived growing up. Alexis has shared some of her childhood memories with her girls but Valentine could enlighten them about how unspeakably horrific growing up Cassidine was for him and their mother.
  21. Meghan has mentioned more than once that she can't wait to get vaccinated so she can go out and get drunk. She just had a baby, who has been in quarantine since she was born. Her family, who she says she is close. has not had a chance to meet Baby Libby. I am not mom shaming here but why is partying her top priority? I have not seen my nieces and nephews, who live 15 minutes away, for over a year. I have not met their 4 month old brother. I can't wait until all of us adults are vaccinated. I have been stocking up on books, whoopee cushions, finger paints and other activities to share with them. Amazon has enabled me to reestablish myself as their favorite fun aunt. What I want more than anything is to be able to have a big family dinner or BBQ. I just do not understand where Meghan is coming from.
  22. Meghan is BOTH. She's "a floor wax AND a dessert topping" tm Saturday Night Live circa 1977.
  23. Megan and her bullshit about "Biden putting kids in cages" is outrageous. What Trump's policy did was to physically rip migrant children out of the arms of their parents, separate them, and place them in cages. That administration did not provide clean, safe facilities for the children. These minor children were not afforded proper legal representation. There were videos of court hearings with toddlers and other non English speaking minors, who did not understand the legal proceeding, being railroaded through their hearings. Many of these children were put on buses and planes to different parts of America without any way of keeping track of where they were sent and they were lost and could not be reunited with their parents. What the Biden Administration is doing is placing unaccompanied migrant children in PROTECTIVE CUSTODY so they can be properly cared for while social service and immigration officials can place these children. Biden is seeing to it that these facilities are humane and that these unaccompanied minor are given proper healthcare, social and educational services and LEGAL REPRESENTATION. It is not an ideal situation by any means, but it is the best that we can do in the short term. When Meghan starts up this false equivalency again I want one of the panelist to ask her, "These children arrived here on their own, what should we do with them. Should we leave them alone on the street to fend for themselves? What would Jesus do, Meghan?" This should not be a political issue, it is a humanitarian crisis.
  24. Today Meghan looked like a demented Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke.
  25. If I just had a baby I would chose BOTH.
