  1. Back in the late 80s my sister and I decided to take our kids to Disney. We used my car which was a Mustang with a 5 speed manual transmission. My SIL decided to join us. So I wouldn’t have to drive the entire way, I taught my sister and SIL how to drive my car. My sister picked it up easily in about 10 minutes. My SIL couldn’t get it at all. She only drove on highways where we figured there would be minimal starting and stopping. I think if you have experience doing some sort of activity where you had to one thing with your hands and another with your feet, it helps. My sister and I both did color guard (twirling a flag/rifle while marching). While you need to shift and release the clutch in a coordinated manner, there also needs to be a certain disconnect as the tasks aren’t similar. It’s much easier to learn when you are a teen than as an adult. Kim and Penn did a Gen X song once that had a line in it about knowing how to read a map. I thought of it as I saw the teams driving with their maps.
  2. I’m listening as well. Kim said that in order to check if the bagpipe was put together correctly, they had to blow into it. Which means then the racers had to blow into it after the guy checking. They didn’t think anything of it at the time.
  3. I did a little Facebook stalking and Connie is holding a very new baby in the family Christmas photo. I’m guessing they didn’t return because she was very pregnant.
  4. Penn does all the singing in their videos. When they do musical parodies that require a female voice, they have someone else sing Kim’s parts. She admits that she can’t sing.
  5. I have had 3 cars that were my primary cars that had manual transmissions. I even had a Ford Escape that was a stick. I could drive a stick in my sleep but I would have issues switching gears with my left hand.
  6. I can never find Penn. Is he in the same scene as Kim? Iron Man 3 is one of my least favorite Marvel movies so I haven’t watched it that often.
  7. Does anyone know how long after the episode you can watch on Paramount+? Never mind. I thought it was on at 8. I should be able to watch at 9.
  8. I’m pretty sure Kim worked for Inside Edition for several years.
  9. They knew it wasn’t the queen. There’s a clip on the CBS site where Kim says in the cab she knows it wasn’t really the Queen.
  10. As I’m watching this mainly because of Penn and Kim (though I used to watch this several years ago but got busy) I feel I need to defend them. First, there’s a clip on the CBS site where they are in the cab saying they knew it wasn’t really the queen. Second, they were both newscasters prior to making videos and Penn does video production for clients outside the silly videos they do. They both also had small parts in Iron Man 3, although I can only find Kim as she had an actual speaking part as a reporter, though it was brief. You would think Penn would be easy to spot considering he towers over everyone. I forgot to mention that in their podcast they stated that they had decided to do the dart task but their cabbie talked them out of it. Because they weren’t intending to do the cake decorating they hadn’t read that clue carefully. editing again to state that LuLu and Lala are not their given names though I can’t recall their actual names. I think one was Marissa.
  11. I just want to state that nearly anyone who adopts a child does not have to care for that child for years to love that child as a child. I dare any of you to say that to an adoptive parent and come away without bruises.
  12. I don’t think Sam’s reason for hating Halloween is lame. Things that happen in childhood can have a lasting effect. I still can’t eat applesauce because of a stupid story I heard when I was 5. My adult brain knows it’s stupid, but I still get ill just thinking about eating it.
  13. I was on my phone which increases the typos.
  14. I’m the Catholic Church, holy oil is used for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Orders and Anointing of the Sick. It is also used to consecrate a church, alter and vessels used during the Mass. it’s a safe bet that it can easily be found in large Catholic areas. It’s the 2nd largest Christian religion so they wouldn’t have to travel far. St. Louis has a fairly large Catholic population and wouldn’t be any further than they’ve traveled for hunts. I live in a fairly large Catholic city and there’s at least 6 Catholic Churches in a 5 mile radius from my house so they wouldn’t have to worry about depleting the supply. They could either take a little from every church or, more likely, if they take it all from one, the neighboring parishes could lend that one some of their oil to get them through the year. The bishop can also bless more if needed. Probably more than you wanted to know about holy oil.
  15. IIRC, didn’t Hannah say she could hear her host screaming for her husband? It would seem that she wanted Hannah to leave, but was unable to eject her until Hannah felt enough guilt to leave. That would support your theory.
  16. Yes, I realized that when I got to that part of my rewatch, which is why I deleted my post and said “Never mind.” I still think much ado was made about nothing but nothing I say will change the mind of those who hate her character.
  17. I had a specific comment 2 pages ago, but now can’t remember what it was. Unpopular opinion, but I don’t want the arc to last long. I hated when Sam was possessed. I hated when he was soulless. I hated Dean as a demon and was happy that only lasted 3 episodes. I tend to empathize with the characters so if something upsets them, it upsets me. Having said that I did enjoy the episode. There were nice moments between Sam, Dean and Jack. I remember my comment now. I don’t believe the show was ever going to try to redeem Lucifer. Any good deed he did was for selfish reasons, and that doesn’t scream redemption. Even back at that exorcism, he only got rid of the demon because he wanted to be worshipped, not to help the girl. He’s truly evil.
  18. I agree with you here. The first thing I thought about the Charmed reboot was that it was way too soon. The last episode only aired 10 years ago.
  19. Luci is working with the one entity that Jack has wanted to kill for about half the season. The one that wants to kill all of Jack's friends and those Jack considers family. I'd say Luci burned any bridge he tried to build with Jack.
  20. I agree that AU Gabe is dead. Our Michael never seemed to want to kill any of his brothers, except Lucifer, but AU Michael wants to be top dog.
  21. There’s no way Lucifer is going to say that he raped Kelly. Especially not to Jack. Having Lucifer say that Kelly took his virginity does not mean that anyone else believes that. Lucifer is not the one to have speak truths.
