  1. If I remember correctly, Charlotte tried to keep their "acquaintance" going and Marco rejected her.
  2. Eva's needed to be a quick study of English to be able to understand Linder.
  3. Only in summer. Then they'd have to travel further south to keep the long days. You'd be racking up serious mileage to keep the sun with you to avoid vampires.
  4. Wasn't one like a tiger? I don't recall any tiger imagery previously. Anyone?
  5. Me too - it changed so much within the scene with DEA Agent McKenzie. At first I wondered if it was on purpose but I'm afraid not.
  6. TVGuide's episode post-mortem with Demian Bichir about last night's ep.
  7. It's funny how I think the actor playing the prosecutor looks slightly more like Demian Bichir than Bruno Bechir does, but I do think the brothers' voices sound a lot alike.
  8. Fausto looked less "Walmart greeter" this week.
  9. It was, although it's probably not technically a drive-"by" when the crew goes in a leaves a calling card poster on the bodies. We know of no connections between the kid and other characters - well except for Ray and Cesar (he of the "eat shit" burn to Ray) -- but I think you're right: we haven't seen the last of that kid.
  10. I'm hoping that Nora's character is being set up to make a big impact, and that even Jim will prove himself useful yet. Maybe he can marshal some resources from inside the CDC that will help Abe, Eph, and presumably the other slayers-to-be who they'll no doubt encounter in upcoming episodes. The preview for Sunday's ep didn't give away nearly as much as for this ep. I wonder if we might get one or more significant character meetings.
  11. I don't recall them showing Ann-Marie get infected, but maybe she's turning into Ansel's Renfield.
  12. That reminds me: Eph referred to Arnot killing innocent people. Did they find evidence of that? Maybe I missed something when I was texting my sister back, but I didn't see them discovering any bodies or any other evidence. Did I miss something or might something else have been cut?
  13. After what happened with the pilot and Emma, the other "surviving" passengers ought to b prioritized. So Ansel, TeriBauerlawyerlady and poormansIanAstbury should be next for Eph & Abe
  14. I suppose the answer is mainly, "because it's in the book", but I still sigh at it being the lone female character who says, "we don't hunt humans!1!" *after* being nearly killed by three of them and their long, retractable, snakelike suckers. I wish she would have at least said it as, "this is all too overwhelming. I'm out."
  15. Ann-Marie's going to have a whole lot of Hail Marys to do after tossing the neighbor in with Ansel.
  16. Didn't comment in the thread but had an internal "ewww" every time I saw it.
  17. You might be on to something. I don't remember exactly what Fausto said, but it was clear he was keeping Cagey for her, but didn't spell out why. I remember feeling like how Fausto made the comment that Cagey wasn't necessarily dear to Eleanor, but I didn't suss out what other options that left. We know that Eleanor's amenable to violence and murder if it suits her and she has some major peculiarities. So continuing to work for Fausto for the promise of future torture/murder of Cagey seems plausible.
  18. I think Bobby was figuring to keep everything a low profile as possible and that meant driving rather than flying, but I seriously doubt Fausto or other drug kingpins would send a henchman up to Alaska to kill people who lost a drug shipment. I'd guess that if Bobby and Charlotte were due to be killed, they'd either have been taken out before they could flee or the kingpin would shrug it off and plan to eliminate them if they ever showed their faces in EP/CJ again. And by Lyle Lovett's appearance at the motel, we can see that Fausto knew where to find them and had decided on a course of action other than killing them. Bobby is amusing in his misfit ways for cartel operations.
  19. I agree with what you've said, but I think we may have reason for optimism: more recent additions Sasha, Tara, and Rosita have been shown to be as smart and able as typical characters of either sex, and Beth looks like she'll be getting a very active storyline. ETA: I do think it's a common problem of writers - TV, comics, movies -- not knowing how to write women as plot drivers beyond wife/girlfriend/mother roles.
  20. I think Sonya cried because he was a link to her sister, even a horrible sad link, but now it's gone. Reading some of the speculation above about Jack's possible role in Sonya's sister murder, I'm wondering if they're setting up a parallel with last season with Sonya, rather than Marco, bent on revenge, and if Marco's visit to Tate next week will give him an opportunity to come back from the brink that would be revisited later in the season with Sonya.
  21. Yes, I think he was there with the e-cigarette. What was on the paper that Sonya's sister's killer's brother looked at after they had sex? I assume it was something from his brother's file, but I got distracted by email and didn't see. ETA: Nevermind -- mrsdalgliesh just answered that. I loved Lyle Lovett's return.
  22. IMDb lists Kevin Durand as 6'6". His stature works well for Fet and he's bringing a sense of humor. I remember him from Lost and from X-Men: Wolverine.
  23. yeah, his eyes were doing the shutter thing. He was no longer capable of caring. I think this show has made me realize that i prefer seductive humanoid vampires and unhumanlike zombies. And I'm just not sure if these lamprey-like vampire/zombies are working for me.
  24. Not done, but here's more: (Picking up from Mrs.RafaelBarba) That amazing song kicks in. A herd is shown shambling towards fire, Eugene on top a fire truck spraying walkers. Tara nearby leaning against the building. Shots of walkers Michonne smashing a walker into the ground. Rick (to Carl), "I don't trust this guy." Shot of Gareth Bob slashing at a walker. Rick, holding a gun, looking down into a collapsed floor. Waterlogged walker looks up. Walker shambling in woods. Abraham attacks someone (presumably a walker) inside of a building. Tyrese and Carol, holding Judith, stand on the tracks [probably from the S5 premiere] More walkers walking in the woods Carl, "We've all done something." Rick pulls out gun. Rick opens door of church, aiming gun inside, as if to clear it out. Priest can be seen outside behind him. Group walks inside church. Gareth, "you don't trust us anymore" Michone, outside in woods, at night, unsheathing katana. Rick, "These people are my family..." Shot of Rick holding Judith, with Carl, Eugene, Sasha, Glenn, Tara, Tyrese and Maggie visible. "and if you hurt them in any way, I will kill you." Rick, in church, with Maggie behind. Gun loading Shot of Gareth Rick holding a gun, sound of shot firing. [Magazine quote] Walkers in watery basement (?) Michonne katana'ing a walker, somewhere outside. Carl, "Here!" Michonne takes out the walker Carl was dealing with. Shot of a hand holding a knife. Shot of Tyrese looking seriously unnerved. Abraham, "The trail needs to leave for D.C...." Shot of Daryl peering around a corner at walkers (looks like Terminus grounds; ETA: or a city street) Rick looking into someone's eyes. "right now." Glenn outside killing a walker. [Newspaper quote] Building seen in the dark Shot of Daryl in the dark. Walkers growling at Abraham outside of a building; he bashes a few. Rick to Abraham, "We're not going anywhere without our people." Glenn, Maggie, Michonne, and Rick walking across a road, daytime, somone emerging from the woods behind them. Daryl kicking a walker; then its head is bashed in. [Card: "#1 Program on Television"] Gareth standing outside of a door, listening in and holding a gun.
