  1. Also - did anyone see Ramona at the wedding?
  2. I'm ok with the coverage, but I MISS Mary Carillo and her special interest features. I loved her segment from Sochi on making Matryoshka Dolls and the segment on where curling stones come from. In my opinion, she was great!
  3. "Heather said that she and Terry had bought property in Vale or some such ski town but there are not enough people to build...meaning there have not been enough lots sold to start building I am sure is what she meant so now they are looking at Cabo? " No, unfortunately it's Idaho. I remember the 1st episode when Heather was talking to her kids in the kitchen and mentioned the trip to Idaho and "wouldn't they like a place there". Then, I think it was the previous episode when she went in to talk with her son he was wearing a Coeur d'Alene sweatshirt. Coeur d'Alene is a gorgeous lake town in north Idaho. This episode she once again mentioned Idaho. I am very sensitive to this because I live in Idaho and PLEASE - rich southern Californians - stop coming to Idaho and driving up our prices! I am very curious about where they bought property that can't be built upon????
  4. If Dorit wants to be British so very badly she needs to take an lesson from The Queen. During a palace dinner a visiting foreigner drank from the finger bowl. Eyes went to The Queen to see what she would do. She reached for her finger bowl and drank from hers. That's is graciousness.
  5. I have always been an Adam Lambert fan. For me, he is the best contestant from American Idol. I haven't voted since his season, that was until tonight. LOVED Trent tonight! Hope he pulls out the win. Second best contestant ever, for me that is!! :)
  6. I like Weekend Update - but where is the funny over the college students traumatized over "chalk". I know this is a very liberal show, but there has to be more than Trump jokes around..........
  7. The Monologue - I like to laugh, just as much as the next person. But, as a Christian I found this the most offensive thing they have had on in quite a while. The rest was fine. Someone asked what was offensive - I just didn't like that they took a real event - Herod killing all the male children in Israel under 2 years old - and making that the "joke" of the serious side.
  8. ahhhhh - once again they play the Hartman/Hooks "Love is a Dream". So lovely!
  9. On the toilet birth issue - I had to use the toilet in the mid-stages of labor with my second one. The position felt so natural I just rested there for quite a while. I really think this position is ok - just not maybe to deliver in a germy little cramped bathroom. I hope Anna has an easy birth and a quiet birth without cameras, mother-in-law, sister-in-laws and others.
  10. I liked the opera singer. I can understand why she didn't go on Idol or The Voice - they don't really cater to her style. I think she sang beautifully.
  11. http://www.seattlepi.com/local/slideshow/King-of-Norway-vists-Ballard-110342/photo-8033073.php My tv boyfriend - Sig - got to meet with the King of Norway in Ballard Washington today. Pretty cool!!
  12. It's easy to say, and I would love to see Jill & Derick and Ben and Jessa getting as far away from this mess as possible, but they won't. There are still all the little ones at home and I don't see either Jill or Jessa totally leaving them to be at the mercy of Jim Bob & Michelle. Jana and Joy have each other to lean on at the moment, however all the older girls are going to feel very protective of "their" younger children. I don't see Jana going anywhere anytime soon either, and that just breaks my heart. She still has "her" younger children to raise and protect.
  13. I am just sick to my stomach. I feel very sorry for Josh and Anna and his victims. He was 14 - a young teenage boy. Sure what he did was offensive, however I blame the parents. Here is a young boy - hormones raging and they have no outlet - no sports to compete in, no friends outside the family to hang out with and no other adults who are in in their lives to talk stuff out with. It's a family that once the kids are finished being babies they are passed around to the others to raise. The fault for this lays at the feet of the parents. I'm a Christian and I don't believe we should bash each other. The girls, and Josh and Anna are reliving a nightmare because of poor choices Jim Bob and Michelle have made. I wish Josh and Anna nothing but the best. They and his victims are the ones who need our prayers right now.
  14. I don't understand why they didn't go to Derrick's mother and let her know first. Then, throw the big TLC party. It's not like Cathy is going to blab to every news outlet. She has more important things to do, like you know, fight for her life. I"m happy for Derrick and Jill, but hope Cathy doesn't always get seconds.
  15. Here's another story I found on the boats out there. http://news.discovery.com/earth/weather-extreme-events/deadliest-catch-fishing-boats-to-ride-out-killer-storm-141107.htm?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Discovery&hootPostID=0e9f619a2049032e8fbedea745d65bc7 It sounded like the boats wouldn't be able to safety make it back in time to beat the storm. Truly, the only ship I would want to be in is the Northwestern. It appears that Sig runs a tight, safe ship and Edgar can fix absolutely anything. I have never been given the impression that Sig would foolishly be out in the midst of this.
