OMG, mstaken! Me too! I LOVED those cheeseball adventure stories in the 80s when the soaps had big budgets. I'm with you about the love story stuff - maybe it's because I am such a cynical old gal, but there's nothing duller than a couple endlessly cooing over each other unless it's the entire town propping that couple. I don't even think the soaps need big budgets, just some clever writing and set ingenuity and they could do it. I'm not looking for realism in a soap - I got enough of that in real life - what I want is snappy dialogue and clever retorts and storylines that haven't been beaten into the ground. If someone would kill off Jennifer and Nicole, I would forgive everything. And they need to make Abigail full-out crazy. I think she would be a great crazy person seeing as how she's already pretty nuts.

There are only two things that Daniel and Eric need to say - "Bye Bitch!" Dandesun, you are killing me with your summaries. Especially the "It was for SCIENCE!" line. The problem Marlena has with Sami is that she's not a paying customer. Marlena only helps PATIENTS who admit they have PROBLEMS and who can afford her FEE! Sami, for crying out loud, wash your hair. Has the water been turned off in the mansion? Between EJ's new hobo look and Sami's greasy flat hair, I am beginning to wonder if the bill has been paid.

NO MORE PREGNANCIES! NO MORE BABIES!! Enough with the pregnancy/baby storylines! I can't think of anything more boring than a baby storyline. Oh wait, yes I can - the Jordan and Ben "secret" storyline that has gone on for centuries now. Unless their secret is a Flowers in the Attic kind of thing, I don't care. There's no secret in the world that would make those two interesting. I'm calling it now - they were abused by their father and Ben killed him. And they are on the run and Ben plucks his eyebrows into interesting shapes so no one will recognize him.

My apologies - I knew what I meant to say but it didn't come out right. I agree that Sami's a regular Annie Oakley. What I meant to say was I hope Sami kills her target this time - Abby. And yes, I know she's taken down her fair share, but the one I want to count is Abby.

Personally, I think NuBen has more spark with Sonny than Abby. I would prefer the show head in that direction and give Sonny an actual storyline instead of gazing lovingly at Will. Enough already. That's what I thought too! I actually thought she looked older (and not in a good way) without the glasses. He really does look terrible. Maybe be contracted some kind of deadly STD from Abby and he's dying. Another helpful daytime lesson on why you should always use condoms.

That actually could be kind of cool if Sami found out about EJ/Abby after EJ dies. Then instead of Sami's normal reflex action of shooting EJ, she could shoot Abby. And I can only hope that she shoots straight this time. Ha! OK, this made me laugh. He really does look like some old sea captain. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I don't really hate Daniel all that much - I DO hate him with Jennifer because it's so pointless and forced and void of romance. But when he's playing opposite Nicole or some other female, he shows a lot more personality. HOWEVER, they need to dial back Daniel's perfection a LOT - it's ridiculous how sainted he is on the show and I am not okay with another patient relationship. That's just gross. He also needs to start dressing his age. But I would rather see Kassie with Daniel than paired off with Hee-Haw Roman.

YES! I would love for MA to come back as someone different. They really need to add some humor to the show and he was always good for that. Plus he would be free of Jennifer and that would be great. There seem to be indications that Jennifer and Eric will hook up and I think that's a much better pairing for her now. Someone as dull and intensely serious as she is. I agree too that Maggie has taken Victor's mojo. He is at his best when he is being Victor. One of my favorite parts of the Brady/Kristen wedding disaster was everyone upset with Victor and he couldn't care less. Just mission accomplished - everyone will get over it. It really is a shame that Sonny didn't bring Victor in on the Nick mess. I feel like things would have turned out so much differently (and better!).

Actually, I'm surprised that Hope hasn't had a nervous breakdown already. She's the only working cop in town, her husband is missing, her kid's weird and everyone in her family is wack-a-doodle. And I do think she has more of a connection to Aiden than Abby does to Paige. How many times has Abby actually talked to Paige? So for me, it's more reasonable that Hope cried in front of Aiden. I just wish I liked Aiden more. He's got that serial killer vibe that Liam had. Ugh! Totally agree! AS looks like a pig when she cries. I can't watch her.

For me, I would have been fine with Nicole lying if she just hadn't been so racked with guilt and pathetic about it. If she would have just owned it and, when caught, said "Yeah I did it. So what?" It's the constant hand-wringing and guilt and pathetic sad face that drove me crazy. I like Nicole better when she's confrontational and assertive. I don't need to see her kicked in the face repeatedly, even when she's done something stupid.

I liked that too - it was a nice surprise on a show that rarely has surprises anymore. I'm still pissed though that they changed Bev and Rory into a couple of assholes. That was the turning point for me with Nicole - I was with her till that. I don't understand why the writers would have her shred the documents just to create conflict. It made her look pathetic and desperate and that's not a good look on anyone. At this point, I wish they would kill off Nicole and bring AZ in as another character - someone who was confident and funny and witty, all things that AZ excels at.

For me, that's the part that made me think - "ok, she is definitely headed to crazy town". I know she's a drama queen, but to break down like that in front of someone she really doesn't know was all kinds of weird. And then at the end when she shows up in Gabi's holding room....well, I hope the cops frisked her before she went in because she looked like she was going to whip out a knife and stab Gabi to death. I've heard people complain about the actress that played Melanie and her tics, etc, but honestly, KM is just as bad. Her interviews are weird and have no basis in reality, her acting is all over the place - one minute she's the "good girl" and in the next scene she's doing something seriously nutty like happily photoshopping this guy she knows into a picture with her best friend - I don't blame JS for leaving the show if she was his next pairing. She's the worst. The funny thing is that I might really enjoy her if she really was crazy - now that would be entertaining. But I really don't think that's the intention which makes the character and actress just strange. Now that would be fun especially if she played John and Roman off each other just to observe their reactions. Maybe Marlena could be the next big supervillian - doing crazy experiments on the good people of Salem and laughing maniacally as she records the results. She'll need an assistant for the computer stuff - too bad Nick is dead, I would love to see the interplay of Marlena and Nick being evil together.

I'd also like to say I feel really sorry for the company that hired Gabi as their model. Talk about a PR nightmare. Yes, and what's more, it wasn't necessary. They could have had Bo "die" and then come back if he wanted to rather than drift around Europe, looking for evidence while "deep undercover" and not ever, ever calling home to check on his wife and kids. What a putz. As far as John and Marlena - that "plan" of his to sleep with Kristen to break up Brady and Kristen was perhaps the dumbest plot device ever, not to mention completely gross. There are so many other ways they could have come apart that actually made sense AND left room for them to recouple. As it is now, Marlena would be nuts to take him back. Not that she wants to - she's too busy with her work and subjects, see Dandesun's posts.

I'm not a fan of Gabi and it was pretty goddamned stupid of her to kill Nick, but CB has done a masterful job in her scenes. I love the revolving door to her holding room - it's like the cops let anyone come in that wants to say hi including Abby who I am convinced is insane. The way KM looks and talks comes off just this side of unhinged. If that's not what she's supposed to be, then I would venture to guess that KM is insane in real life. Cause she sure looks it. I do feel sorry for Hope and it's nice to see her finally break down and not be so perfect. She's the only working cop in Salem, she's the parent of the female Damian, her bozo husband in "deep undercover" , and she has to deal with all those Horton/Brady drama queens. I hope if and when Bo comes back, she kicks him in the teeth and serves him divorce papers. Way to go, show - you ruined one of the last great supercouples. And can someone tell me if Rafe is still a cop? All I see him do is snuggle with Jordan so I really don't know what his job is anymore. Dandesun, I love it. I'll hear this in my head now too. Can't wait to see her "analyze" John.

She looks like a cardboard box. Jennifer could be so attractive, but between the beige styling and her permanent worried frown, she looks awful. Dande, were you the one over at TWoP who said that Marlena looked like she walked around Salem with a clipboard, coolly analyzing the people of Salem? That's the most spot-on description of Marlena I've ever heard. She seems so removed from everything around her. Is that why she did it? I think if somebody photoshopped me into a picture without my knowledge, I would run the other way. It's very disturbing behavior. Marlena needs to get on that.

This is pretty nuts. I might enjoy Abby more if she were genuinely insane. Unfortunately, I don't think that is the writers' intention.

I would like for her to have a brain transplant - something where she isn't pathetic anymore. I like AZ, but I am done with Nicole as a character. I want them to kill off Nicole and bring AZ in as a different person - Nicole's long lost twin, her clone, her amazing lookalike cousin, whatever. But Nicole needs to go. And I am absolutely sick of her woe-be-gone expression. I too would like for Eric to go apeshit on all these people who crapped on him and yes, that includes Nicole. Gabi killing Nick was a huge downer for me. I don't care how much she hated him or was afraid of him - she killed him and now she goes to prison for life and her daughter grows up without her mother. Ugh.

It's really interesting to me how viewers can see the same thing in such different ways. I took it more like he was so inspired by Shawn's abilities and can-do attitude (athletes have amazing attitudes) that he created all these amazing routines. He just didn't care what the scores were - he knew that the viewers would be wowed and he counted on the popular votes. Which worked until the end. Oh well. We all have our favorites that were cruelly cheated (to us!) at the end. Ha! That's exactly what I thought too. I was 100% on the Shawn and Mark train, but in hindsight I realize that Giles and Cheryl should have definitely won. And what happend to him in the All-star season was just too painful for words. Agree 100%. They will always be the masters.

The Bhangra! I loved that dance! There will never be another DWTS star who has the endurance and flexibility to get through that dance! Shawn killed it. Shawn and Derek were amazing, but the best part was Derek being flummoxed over how to do it. How often do we see Derek lost at sea? I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, but what the hell. I loved Shawn and Derek and I'm still bummed that they didn't win the All-Star Season. I was never a Derek fan before, but their pairing brought me over to the Dark Side. She's the only star he's had that I really wanted to win. The rest of them...meh.

Gross. I missed that and I'm glad that I did. I think Meryl has been great with Maks, but she had a life before him and she'll have a life after him and she will continue to rack up accomplishments because that's the kind of person she is. I'm so looking forward to seeing her dance with Charlie tonight. Meryl and Maks still aren't greater than Meryl and Charlie.

Since most everyone thinks this is a Maks/Meryl vs. Derek/Amy showdown, it would really be kind of funny. The internet might actually explode.

Yep. Agree to disagree. I will say that Amy did a great job with the hip swiveling in her fringey pants and her footwork was very nice. And good lord, that she can do ANY of the stuff she does with Derek is freaking amazing. Girl's got guts too - when she lifted off on that rope and swung around like a maniac, well, that was impressive. My personal preference is for Meryl but Amy's done a fine job. God, don't even SAY it! It might come true yet!! My eyes still haven't healed from the last time! lol

Nope. There's a lot more he used than that one pose in the middle. There's an entire footwork sequence in the beginning, a turn where she dips with a leg extended, several of the lifts - I've watched the mambo literally dozens of times and I was in disbelief watching the copied salsa last night. Yes, there were some different things included, but overall much of their salsa was lifted from the mambo. I have no doubt in my mind about that. Oh, the bongo playing on her ass was new except it was a cheeseball stupid move that should die a fiery death. Why do the pros think that's a good idea?

Ha! I said the same thing pretty much over at TWoP. I actually liked his freestyle for the sheer WTF entertainment of it. He ran up a wall and flipped over! And it was nice to see something different than the dreamy lift-rinse-repeat Contemporaries. I think Peta and James have really brought the crazy this season and while I don't care for Peta, I have enjoyed seeing what kind of lunacy they brought every week. They definitely should have made it over Cheer Captain Candace. I'm disappointed we won't see them dance in matching thongs because I'm pretty sure that's where they were headed for the last night. lol

Actually, freestyles aside, I was stunned by how similar Derek's salsa for Amy was to the mambo he did with Shawn Johnson in the All-Star season. I am positive there were whole portions of that mambo used in his salsa last night. I adored his mambo with Shawn - it's one of my all-time favorite DWTS dances and I've watched it dozens of times - and I think his salsa with Amy suffered by comparison. She did fine, but she wasn't nearly as dynamic as Shawn was.

toonces! You made it!! I really don't see the Maks and Meryl showmance stuff - maybe I'm immune to it now. After all, there is only one true love for Maks and that is Maks. For me, I'm more over Peta and James trying to tell me about their supposed chemistry and coy evasiveness about whether they are dating or not. Who cares. If you have to tell me about it, then there ain't much to see. Not to get too far off subject, but I have to say that Kelly and Val slobbering over each other was such a turnoff for me that they lost me. I was with them until the Contemporary - I don't know what happened after that, but they were just too, too much for me. Such a shame because I loved Kelly in her season.
