  1. I believe there was something else going on that we didn't know about. The only other explanation would be that Kelli didn't like Hannah or is just plain mean. Hannah got the axe while they went out of their way to find diet solutions for Veronica. That was very odd to viewers because we couldn't understand why one girl got cut and another girl was given the entire training season to get in shape. I was never a fan of Hannah but I have to admit (without more information) she was not given the same chances as her teammate.
  2. I agree. I also thought that she wasn't ready to cut someone until she had a look at all the cameo photos. And I completely disagree with Kelli's comments that Victoria has the prettiest hair and legs. I can name several rookies and vets that have prettier hair or prettier legs. Just more nonsense to justify her keeping VK for this long when everyone else knows she should have been sent packing right away.
  3. Yeah, I'm grossed out by all the neck bones. I know these ladies have to be super thin, but the photographer or Kelli could have instructed them to not hold their necks so stiffly that the bones stick out.
  4. Yeah, and I'm sure her teammates were secretly overjoyed that there was one less girl in the competition to make it into the calendar. I very much doubt that they'll have a bunch of girls opting out. Most of them are delighted to be a part of it.
  5. The other time her favoritism reared its ugly head was with Loni in, I believe, season 2. She never got her kicks close to where they needed to be but they took her because she was pretty. And they even put her up front in the squad photo, which I though was supposed to be based on seniority.
  6. I remember that season and her panel interview. She was talking so fast that I was sure she was on something. Poor girl. I'm glad she got out. Your health is more important.
  7. Oh, I understand what you're saying. It's just that I feel the only reason Kelli is letting Victoria get away with so much crap is out of friendship and loyalty to Tina. Pretty much everyone here who's been watching thinks she's not right for the team. If she's more worried about hurting Tina's feelings she should have leveled with her in private. She certainly was able to get rid of Dayton quick enough.
  8. I've stayed out of the discussions on her up to now, but when they let her selfish, immature behavior slide AGAIN, it really ticked me off. They cut others for the tiniest reasons sometimes and this one shoots her mouth off week after week and gets away with it. And they never let the cameras focus on her for more than a few seconds unless it's just her face that is showing. Tonight it looked like her shorts were falling down with the way her stomach was hanging over them. Seriously, why couldn't Kelli just go to her mother and say, "Sorry, I know you had your hopes up for Victoria this season, but she's physically not up to the challenge. It would be better for her to take a year to get in shape and then audition next year." So she has long legs! She also has a big mouth and doesn't know when to close it.
  9. I was trying to get away with not saying that her touching the girls on their breasts gives me a sexual vibe. That's why I said it makes me uncomfortable, not that I thought she was physically hurting the girls. Maybe it's just me. I would be more comfortable with her positioning their arms and legs and heads, etc. rather than just grabbing and shoving at their breasts. And if the mods want to block this post after you read it, I'm fine with that. I didn't really want to come right out and say it.
  10. I think Kitty does too much touching of the girls. It makes me uncomfortable watching it. She's very rough with them. If that's a sample of what her teaching is like in her classes I would avoid them. But I will admit for as big and old as she is herself, when she does the moves she wants the girls to do I'm surprised at her grace and flexibility. I would have more respect for Kitty, Kelli and Judy if they were more consistent with the way they treated all the TCCs. Obviously we can't see how they're really doing with the way the show is edited but, for instance, when Judy says "She made about 20 mistakes right there." and then they show a clip of the girl in question and she seems to be doing exactly what the girls around her are doing, then it feels like Judy's just trashing her on the air to give an excuse for cutting her. Same thing with when we can see someone doesn't know the dance (Malena) and she never gets called into the office because Kelli loves her. I know it's human nature to favor some people over others, but if you're going to televise your organization, don't make it obvious.
  11. Congrats and good luck to Dayton with her cruise ship gig. I know they involve performers in other activities but I hope she gets a chance to experience several international locations. I'm no dancer, but I think a good dose of maturity will help her in life as well as in auditioning for DCC in the future. Travel and seeing other cultures is a great way to develop that. As for Victoria, we'll just have to wait and see how her situation plays out. I'm really happy Brennan is doing so well this time. You can just see the confidence in her face. No more scared rabbit looks.
  12. I also think Malena is just as bad, if not worse, than Dayton. I don't see what some of the guest choreographers see in her. I can't comment on Victoria's dance because they rarely show much of her dancing, only her non-stop babbling about herself. I do think she's too jiggly to be in the uniform. I also think that the reason we don't see her dancing on camera they way they focus on some of the others is because they don't want us to see if she's not performing well, because then we would have more ammunition to say that she's only there because she's Kelli's best friend's daughter. Anyway, based on clips they have shown, I can see why they cut Dayton, but it was heartbreaking. She seems very young, still, so hopefully another year will give her more poise and confidence. But if it's a matter of remembering the choreography, Malena is just as lost.
  13. Haven't read all the posts yet, so someone else may have mentioned this, but I'm wondering if Kelli feels the need to squash any suspicions of nepotism after all the hubbub about Cassie. I never thought Cassie was good or pretty and she got way too much screen time. I also didn't think she looked good enough to be in the calendar. Anyway, I think they're just trying to nip it in the bud right away so nobody thinks Dayton is getting a pass because of her mom.
  14. I think some folks are just in denial about their own lack of skills, talent, etc. But it also bugs the heck out of me when Kelli takes people who can't kick into training camp. I suppose sometimes it's just for the drama of the TV program but to deny a spot someone who can kick but maybe doesn't have a beautiful face really makes me mad. There was a girl last year who was a great dancer and could kick to her nose but they didn't like her look. Looks (hair & makeup anyway) are easier to fix than kicks. Obviously if someone is too heavy, they can't change that in a few weeks, but I really wonder about the girls they seem to bend over backwards for even though they are missing an important part of the total package.
  15. I guess her ego outweighed her grammar.
  16. Yeah, but it's like they threw her a bone. I just don't get why they don't make more of her. Too much attention paid to Jenna this season considering we've learned she's been breaking the rules for over a year now. Lacey deserves to be recognized for being all they say they want these ladies to embody.
  17. Yeah, I was wondering about that, too. They must be given the models' measurements, so why didn't he make the top to fit the model in the first place? You can always take something in, but you can't let it out if you haven't allowed for alterations. I thought it was incredibly stupid and careless of him to not consider the model's measurements.
  18. Could that whole lash thing have been just a ploy to mention their lash place on TV? A little advertising? It was odd.
  19. Gina also has unattractive teeth. When they were shooting her cameo they said she looked better with a pout and she shouldn't smile because it made her eyes squint, but I think it may have been partly to hide those teeth. And the comment about others being jealous just shows vanity. The appropriate answer would have been that she was unaware that she was being perceived that way by her teammates and that she would work on getting to know everyone better and showing them that she was a team player.
  20. Those twins can only be there to provide drama since neither of them can come up with anything interesting. They're all talk with no skills or creativity. She'd darned well better grovel and say thank you because she deserved to be eliminated more than once so far.
  21. We're downsizing and I recently found an old program from one of the many times I saw A Chorus Line on stage in Chicago in the 70s. Bebe Neuwirth played Cassie in that particular performance. I didn't even know who she was then because she hadn't done any television. I kind of like the extra pop, but I can understand there are times when they want everyone to be uniform.
  22. She's gorgeous. Auditioning is always harder than performing. I'm rooting for her, too!
  23. Smoker, I love Hanley Waters, too, and I think it wasn't all that popular here. But I love the way his dialogue with Shelley parallels what he's going through in his own situation blaming himself for Haley's death as Shelley is blaming herself for her son's death. And I also like the scenes with the team members as they work through the grieving process of losing Prentiss.
  24. Yeah. He has been gone long enough now that I don't even think about watching. But I catch early seasons on ION or A&E and just feel sad at how good the show once was. Needless to say I don't bother watching anything much past season 5. I would watch Mr. Scratch or Entropy again. I can remember items from episodes I thought were really awful and I can remember the names of the one or two episodes at most that I thought were even worth watching beyond season 7. It just confirms for me that it was time for me to give up the CM obsession and get back to focusing on my life and family. But every now and then I'll see an old episode and grieve anew for what once was and feel a little spark of anger that those in charge were too stupid to recognize the difference in the quality of writing....or maybe they just don't care. Still makes me mad.
  25. The only one of the 3 I would have watched was Cory. The other two try too hard to put on phony personas that they think will make them more likable, but in reality only succeed in making them obnoxious. The truth is, I watch very little on Food Network these days. I enjoy the cake decorating competitions, the baking championships and, I can't really think of much else.
