  1. But watching the show it felt like just a few days before they cut Hannah whereas they went out of their way to help Veronica by offering her My Fit Foods (although I always thought that was just a way to advertise the food). Without coming right out and saying so you could kind of feel that there was more behind Kelli's dismissal of Hannah. I was never a Hannah fan, but I thought Veronica looked really heavy. It clearly smacked of favoritism. You'd think that at the end of a season they would make an announcement that anyone who is currently on weigh warning, don't even bother showing up to auditions unless you've gotten yourself back in shape.
  2. I'd like to see a little more coverage of her breasts but she does look amazing. I have watched Say Yes to the Dress, and it always astounds me that women want to have their breasts hanging out during their wedding ceremony. You can look great without giving everyone else a show,
  3. Yeah, her comment bothered me because to me it read like a combination of making an excuse and a bid for pity. I liked her, though, and I'm glad she made it.
  4. Ugh. It sure would be interesting to see all of the judges' scores on these auditions. The only time we get a glimpse of them is when Kelli has someone in the office and is about to cut them and says this many judges voted no on you.
  5. I didn't really pay attention to her last year or this year until they mentioned her being off. To me even when she came into the office that last time smiling and saying she had been told she was improving, something just looked off to me in her eyes. She did seem out of it. Her hair was never fixed. Myself, I don't have a problem with the girls not glamming up for rehearsals when they're only going to end up a mass of sweat, but it does seem to be a DCC requirement, so she should have made an effort to look her best. I don't know the extent of her personal problems, but whatever they were or are, they certainly took a toll on her physically. She looked worn out and in need of a good night's sleep. This isn't to say that there weren't rookies who needed to be cut before they'd cut Tara, but most of the rookies looked better than some of the vets in energy and appearance/beauty.
  6. Well, it obviously didn't apply to you-know-who. (imagine emoji with tongue sticking out here) All Kelli commented on were here legs and her hair, nothing that was in the area of the uniform. (thumbs down here)
  7. Yikes! And after all that constant reminding us that each girl's uniform is tailored specifically to her measurements and body type.
  8. I do too. I think it makes her spunky and helps her to stand out from the rest. So many of them have the same long hair style. Cianna's face just comes alive when she dances. She's a favorite of mine.
  9. Yeah. I know they made comments about her in the previous episode, and giving her some talking heads tonight kind of foreshadowed that she would be one of the cuts, but then they tried to fool us with all the negative comments on Brennan. Tonight they said nothing about Lilly and then BAM, you're out. I feel sorry for her because, as you said, they hadn't given her much feedback on what to improve whereas Malena was called into the office and called out on the field several times. She had to have known when they called her tonight that this was the end. We'll have to just wait and see if they come back next season.
  10. Yeah, it was a change from the norm. We also didn't see the endless placement of the girls to take the squad photo this year. I don't mind them mixing stuff up a bit, and I really liked the segments where they showed us what former cheerleaders are doing now. I actually think Charlotte walking out on the field with Kelli and Judy to talk to the girls was a dead giveaway to them that it was over and they had made the team. So it was kind of a bit anti-climactic, but then how many ways can they change up that part of the program? I just can't warm up to Charlotte. She just strikes me as arrogant and phony. At least with Kelli and Judy you can see that they actually have emotions. Just my gut feeling. She could be a very nice person. I just don't think I've ever seen any evidence of it.
  11. I think it would be far more likely that she'd screw up on her own with all of the attention on her if it were a psychological thing and not just a lack of being able to remember all of every dance. Malena is all the things you say she is and would be a fine ambassador. I think she needs more experience learning lots of dances of various styles so that they come easier to her. I'm pretty sure most of us think she should have been eliminated much earlier for memory issues. It's like the girls in previous seasons who could do everything except kick high. Kelli should just have told her she was right in every other way and just needed to work on this and come back when she's more at ease learning dances at the pace the DCC moves.
  12. Yeah. My guess if it were up to Judy alone she'd have no trouble cutting anyone who wasn't making it as a dancer. Sure they've known this girl since she was born, but all the more reason to make totally clear to her before she even thinks of auditioning that she cannot and will not get special treatment. She knew what the requirements were as far as weight is concerned. And we weren't allowed to see much of her dancing in case we could all see she wasn't cutting it, and still we were all aware of many reasons why she should have been cut. I'm sure Judy's trying to do some damage control to take the heat off of Kelli, but there are too many folks who have been watching for too long to not notice the extreme difference in the way VK was handled compared to all the other TCCs in all the other seasons.
  13. My baloney has a first name....
  14. I mostly agree with you. I'm not a dancer, although I've always wanted to be. But I do think that this years rookies for the most part are really good. I'll admit it would be hard to cut someone if they were all that good, but it's obvious even to someone like me with limited training that they are holding onto some of the ones that should be cut for reasons other than dance (Malena & Victoria). I would think by at least week 3 they'd realize who the weak ones were. I know there are some girls who need to go home and work to memorize the dance. That would be me. But if they continue to mess up on the stuff that was taught early on, that's it. Those are the ones to cut.
  15. I agree with everything you're saying, but I still think Kelli should have been honest with Victoria (and her mother) before auditions even began. She should have told Victoria, if your body is not in shape, don't even bother auditioning, because no matter how great a dancer you are, you'll be cut, or not even make finals, if you appear to be out of shape or someone who will not look good in the uniform. That's it. As far as her behavior goes, she seems way more immature than other 18 year olds we've seen in training camp through the years. I also think they cut Dayton before it was necessary just to hopefully squash claims of nepotism, but the extra special kid gloves treatment they gave Victoria just stands out in contrast to the way every other TC, except Lonie, has been treated from the get-go. I realize this was tough on Kelli and Judy, but they should have made it clear up front with both VK and her mom that she WASN'T going to get special treatment and that she wasn't ready to audition until she got her body in tip top shape. And to say "we don't have a uniform for you" was a ridiculous thing to say. What about what they say to the others? "You're not top 36." That's the truth. She should at least have said, "in your current physical shape, you're not right for our uniform." If she were a bit overweight or not toned, it wouldn't matter nearly as much if she were one of the stand out talents of the rookies, but she wasn't. She wasn't great at anything and the sooner she recognizes it, the sooner she can work on fixing those things if she plans to come back. And whoever did her makeover should be fired...unless she just chose her own makeup and refused to go along with the makeover the same way she refused to go along with the diet.
  16. It really irritated me to no end that they were siting there picking apart many girls and barely a word about Victoria except her kicks. You could see the grimaces on Kelli and Judy's faces, though. They were noticing how bad she looked. Her belly was jiggling all over the place and not one word about that. Even when they cut her, they weren't specific on camera about what was really wrong. I know this is a long-time friend, but they have been really scathing with some girls, and VK was just so wrong in so many ways. She simply cannot shut up and her hair was a mess, probably because she can't leave her hands out of it. It also made me mad that we never saw much of her performing. They give her so many scenes where she's talking and stick mainly to her head instead of showing that body that you know will not look right in the uniform. I'm sure they deliberately didn't show her performing so that viewers couldn't see how bad she was and compare that to the girls that Kelli called out for performance issues. She should have been released long ago, and the fact that they cut a vet before her is an even bigger slap in the face to Tara. I don't disagree with them cutting her, but Victoria and Malena were both worse than Tara and should have been cut ages ago. Did anyone else think Brennan looked ill on that first night? Her lips were so pale that I thought she might be sick.
  17. My husband loves it and has bought all or most of the seasons on DVD. I don't like him all that much, but I like his wife and the dog. If you want to see gorgeous scenery, watch Shetland. It's breath taking. I prefer the murder shows to Doc Martin, but we saw that actor in a comedy/drama called William and Mary. I think it was on Acorn TV. We ditched our Acorn subscription when we had watched everything we wanted to see and have Brit Box now. There's some good stuff there as well. I also want to say that I actually like the print of that dress, but not for a dress like that. It's kind of Hawaiian looking so I could see it in a loose flowing Hawaiian type garment or a halter dress...or maybe a table cloth? (haha)
  18. Good job, but you left off iconic.
  19. The Jackie O book task was given to Megan Flaherty and not because of her etiquette. She wasn't mixing in with the other girls in the bonding events and Kelli told her she needed to develop grace. I found the whole thing odd. Megan tried out 3 times and got into training camp all 3 but always ended up getting cut because she just couldn't learn the routines. After she was cut the third time she told Kelli and Judi off for bringing her back and cutting her again.
  20. It's especially annoying after the stern way she addressed Dayton with, "You won't make this team just because you're someone's daughter." Now it looks more like she didn't make the team because she wasn't the right someone's daughter. She sure looks older than 52. Way older!
  21. I'm sure they want her to make down home type comments and maybe even ask for them to add some personality to the show. How many times can you hear that someone is pursuing their dream, or "I've worked so hard" or "I've put my life on hold for this" etc., etc.? I find Kashara refreshing and not phony at all. Phony to me is the way Vivian behaved her second time in training camp with that babyish voice and that ridiculous poem. And once she got cut the true personality came through with her mad face and snarky comments. I really liked her and was pulling for her the first time around. Maybe she fooled me but her behavior the second time around was off putting. She seemed to think she had it in the bag. I think Kashara is very down to earth and a great performer.
  22. Thanks for coming here and answering our questions.
  23. It makes me think of an episode of Mad About You where they were tasting food for their wedding and the meat was squab. The parents were questioning it and saying it looked like a pigeon and then one of the fathers asked "What's the difference?" and someone else said, "Pigeon is on a ledge; this is on a plate." Great line. I know I ate pheasant when I was a little girl and that someone had shot it (not in my family) but they told us it was chicken. I was too little to remember much more about it. I prefer to stick to chicken and turkey myself. But this was a good opportunity for the girls to learn to pretend they liked it even if they didn't.
  24. I don't recall any of the girls they cut or didn't ask into training camp for being "soft" in previous seasons having this much flab hanging over their shorts. It looks her stomach is popping out of the waistband and forcing the shorts downward.
  25. Seriously! She's so over dramatic that I wonder if she has a personality (mental) disorder. And the way her face falls at even the slightest, most carefully stated critique shows she is not used to being criticized, only praised, and she can't handle it. These along with just letting whatever thought pops into her brain fly out of her mouth confirms that she is too i(mmature for any job where she'd be required to speak publicly or have to have a great deal of responsibility. If, when she cuts Victoria, Kelly doesn't give her a stern speech about becoming more mature and controlling her tongue, I'm going to be ticked off. Don't you all wonder what VK and her mother are thinking watching these episodes and seeing her behavior displayed like that for anyone to see on TV? I'd be so ashamed.
