If he did that to the wrong person, he'd end up on Snapped, with an actor playing him because he's laying six feet under. He's not going to make it to 20.I won't take potshots at his girlfriend because that's exactly the kind of bullying he was doing, and I'm not going down to that level. It's too bad we're teaching these kids to focus on outward appearance instead of developing their minds and being good people. I weep, again.

Some court shows are fake and use actors. This isn't one of them. That dude was real.

She often repeats her favorite sayings. I've mentioned before how I would love for her to learn a new expression. Something that is funny once or twice is not funny the hundredth time I hear it.To paraphrase another of her favorites, she should stick a fork in those expressions.

Thanks for the link. Totally buying one of these babies.

One should do due diligence regardless of where one meets a potential partner. You could pick up a nutjob at the bar or church or the grocery store or anywhere else. There's nothing wrong with online dating, and I'm surprised to find there's still a stigma attached to it.That being said, Harold is a sociopath who clearly preyed on religious women, although I'm not sure why. I don't do the whole religion thing, son I'm not sure why he felt those women made better targets.

Deadbeat dad can't support his damn kids, but he's got tattoo money. He had them strategically placed to assure he'll probably never get a job that pays enough for him to pay support. What a vile piece of crap he is. I'm saddened that his daughter lied. She probably could have come up with a legitimate reason to sue him. I'm sure there are many.

Some people just refuse to think, as evidenced by the current GOP front runner.

That case made me wear out my FF button. I couldn't listen to her. I can't stand to hear toothless people talk. It drives me nuts.

Oh, it's not just the dudes. I have been doing some rebound dating, and I can't believe the kind of pictures females send to me, without my even asking. There's nothing like sending a mundane message such as, "What do you do for fun?" and getting back a picture of her tits. I guess it's supposed to accomplish something, but all it does is make me say, "Next!"Before we blame it on youth, I should point out that I don't even talk to anyone under age 35. These are grown-ass women, mostly professionals, who you'd think would know better. They're all trying to end up on that ID channel, I swear.

It's happened to me more times than I'd like. Usually it's something coming up on my schedule and screwing things up. A couple of times I've won tickets concerts I had no interest in attending, so I unload those on StubHub. Also, I have season tickets to my alma mater's games, and I'm never able to go to all of them. Those I usually give away to clients as gifts, since our basketball team is pretty good (despite losing to freaking Colorado the other night) and it's hard to get tickets. Dude that plowed into all those cars was one of my favorite video cases in a while. You'd think we'd have more cases with videos, seeing how cameras are so ubiquitous now. There's a whole show on Discovery ID that features murder victims who were caught on cameras during the time leading up to their killings. It's creepy how often we're on camera now.

This was me of my favorite episodes of the series. Well done, show. I'm going to rewatch at least once.

It was hard as hell to be a gay kid in the 80s, when it was still socially acceptable for kids, and teachers, to pick on those of us who were a bit different. Needless to say, I dealt with my share of bullying in high school. That is until my sophomore year when a girl decided to knock my lunch tray out of my hands as I was walking through the cafeteria. She'd been picking on me mercilessly. (I later found out at one our reunions that she had a massive crush on me; she got ridiculously drunk, apologized, admitted her crush, and then made a clumsy pass at me which I promptly rejected.) Anyway, I pushed her, and she landed in our trophy case (they lined one end of our cafeteria with trophy cases for some brilliant reason.) Now, it wasn't my intention to put this chick through the trophy case, but I puffed up as if it were. I was no dummy! Thereafter I was known as the girl who put someone through a trophy case (Stieg Larsson didn't live long enough to write about me.) Nobody messed with me after that. It's amazing how one crazy act on my behalf turned me into a total badass. I still continue to take no shit from anyone.

I think I was part of the last group that had corporal punishment. It was very much a thing in my elementary and junior high schools. I started high school in 1987. I'm not sure if they had paddles in high school because mine was HUGE, and I tended to avoid the principal's office. (If you remember the TV show Room 222, the high school in the opening credits is my high school.) I don't know if corporal punishment is the answer. I think you can raise kids to be respectful without hitting them. But these parents are completely out of control. I had a student who is graduating soon tell me he's just going to live with his mom after graduation. I asked him if he was going to get a job, and he said, "No, I don't have to. My mom's obsessed with me. She'll take care of me forever." No plan b for that student. I don't know what he's going to do when mom has a debilitating illness or remarries someone with common sense who puts him out. I contrast that with my parents who said, "When you finish high school, you can go to college, join the military, or move out and get a job. Those are your three, and only, choices. We don't support grown-ass people."

Hi, everyone. I've been hanging out in the attic because I'm teaching classes at night and missing most of the episodes. Thank goodness for Rodeo Days so I'll have some time coming up during which I can catch up. Yes, our schools close for Rodeo. I am officially living in the wild, wild west. By the way, my limited time working in education has confirmed for me that the litigants we see on JJ are, indeed, reproducing. I was cursed out tonight by a parent whose child hasn't been to school in over a week. It seems her daughter swore up and down that she has been going to school. She must be sneaking in through a window because none of us have seen her. I told her, "Lady, if I can't pick your kid out of a lineup your kid isn't coming to school. Why would I lie to you?" My point is that these little snowflakes are getting away with murder, and then growing up to be JJ litigants who think it's the world and the rest of us are just spectators. When I was a kid, my parents sided with the school, even when the school was wrong! I was guilty until proven innocent. When did that change?

You spelled "cats" wrong. :-) I had an entire post but realized it really had nothing to do with the show, so I'll just say I miss you guys and take my kvetching to the small talk forum.

My mom is in her 70s. Over the past year, my father had a series of strokes, so I moved my parents into my house in order to help with his care. I think living with their very liberal, proudly gay daughter has changed the way they feel about a lot of things. They're not joining PFLAG anytime soon, but they're supportive, and proud, of me. In fact, every woman I date immediately falls in love with them. I finally got my dad (who used to be the chairman of our local Republican party) to switch parties last year. I think my mom is next. They're both completely disgusted with the GOP.

It was an excellent episode, and he handled it well. I watched with my mom, who is a born again Christian, and even she had to agree that there are times when abortion is necessary and should be permitted. She even told me she's leaning toward the pro choice side just because the other side has behaved so unreasonably. She agrees with the people who said they wouldn't have one personally but wouldn't want someone else prevented from doing so. The show opened up a dialogue between us that I don't think would have happened had she not been there watching it with me. And I had no idea she'd become a bit more progressive on this issue.

The date thing almost got me too. Usually when a date is included it's really important to the answer. This time it was more of a fake-out.

When I was in the market for a new car, I test drove a Buick. It didn't feel like an old person's car to me at all. But if had a really bad experience with another GM car years ago and just couldn't pull the trigger. If Zoe is anything like I was, she would have been legitimately thrilled to have any car. My first was a Chevy Chevette, and I loved the hell out of that car. It meant freedom.

Oh, I see. Now that I've actually seen the episode, I get what you meant. She knew exactly what she wanted. And she should have written off that money, considering that she'd abandoned her son at age 3. The lesbian couple hiring a "contractor" out of Lowe's should definitely have known better. People always do tons of research after they've done something stupid. It never ceases to amaze me. If I hire a contractor, I'm checking reviews, license status, and getting a certificate of insurance before he goes anywhere near my house.

We must be on similar DVR schedules because I did the exact same thing. It was a rough, emotional night. I thought Mom would make me laugh after ACS was so depressing.

Here's another vote for C.S. Lewis. I got the Lewis fairly quickly, but Lewis Carroll never came to me. I thought it was a good FJ question because there was the ability to get the answer right without knowing for sure. If I hadn't gotten stuck on C.S. Lewis, I'd have gotten there, I think.

I have quite a few gay friends here who were tossed out of their families after they came out. Most of them are Mormon. All of them would tell you that they consider their current friends and partners their families, not the people who abandoned them when they needed their support the most. I haven't seen the case, but what's wrong with Vizio TVs? I have a 50-inch one in my living room, and it's really nice. Am I missing something/

I'm going to dissent from the majority opinions here and say I did not care for this one. I was cringing way too much for my comfort level. I hated seeing Jack treated the way he was, including being relegated to sleeping in Junior's closet. I also didn't like the way they treated Junior. I don't find the idea that Dre doesn't like him amusing. And why would Jack have to move out of the room instead Diane having to move? I didn't understand that. I also hated the Buick commercial that ran throughout the episode, although it does look like a nice car. I think Angie Tribeca did the commercial-within-a-show much better. Dre straight up got on my nerves. I know he's always over the top, but he was such a dick about that car with Zoe. And then to let his mom have it? Bow did amuse me, so there's that. Where was Pops?

I don't think the DDs are an easier. Today's were easy for me, but I haven't noticed a trend.
