Is it being cancelled for ratings or because of MM's film career?
-
I've only ever found them legally on YouTube. I also have a DVD with some of her favorite cases, but I don't think they've issued another one. It's several years old now. If you're willing to go the illegal route, I'm sure you can find streams of JJ episodes. I've never looked, but everything else is out there so her show probably is too. i don't understand the reasoning behind two days of new episodes. Isn't it usually at least a week? Like many litigants, I'm confused.
-
We had one of the most obnoxious litigants in history and I couldn't log on to post about him! The defendant in yesterday's first case was such an asshole. He started up before they even began the case. What a jerk. And then he kept making nasty comments about the plaintiff and calling her names. It's funny how horrible you become when you have the audacity to ask to be repaid money. He didn't think all those things about her before he asked her for money though. I wanted to punch him through my TV screen!
-
I wondered that too, especially after April scolded him and told him he's not even a doctor yet. Would she have turned him in? I'm not sure.
-
I like him, too, but I miss Andrew. Buzzy takes clues in order, which is always a plus in my book. I was surprised Alex didn't remind Jerry of the category the first time he screwed up; Alex usually does in those situations. The wild guesses were annoying. I'm not surprised the boards didn't get cleared.

What a great game to watch! They started at the top of each category and we're all knowledgeable. I would have been fine with any of them winning, but I was most impressed with the middle contestant and how fast she rang in. I'll miss Andrew, but he was definitely hitting his wall. See you in the TOC! And now we get Barton, which is cool with me.

I'm surprised we don't see more of these kinds of murders. I think about people who have jobs that put them alone with the public, and it seems scary to me. A relative of mine recently had her children temoorarily removed by CPS. They sent the CPS lady to the home all by herself to take the kids. I was there because I was volunteering to take one of them. Anyway, we are reasonable people who wouldn't harm anyone, but I couldn't help but think that her job is really dangerous. She's removing kids from their parents and she's doing it by herself? Crazy.

Sorry if I missed it, but did you say when this fool's episode is going to be on? I'm a little behind in viewing but want to make sure I see this one since you've provided so much backstory.

I actually agree and am so over Sam at this point, but your post reminded me of Miss Alli on TWOP when she'd review Survivor finales. The ousted contestants got to ask questions of the finalists, and someone would inevitably do a version of, "My question is, you suck!" Ken was asking a question, for sure. But the question was just his way of telling Sam he didn't think he belonged there and how unfair it is when the other designers are working so hard on their pieces. I agree with Ken, by the way. I just couldn't not think of Miss Alli when you wrote that.

I confidently answered John Adams, showing two things:1. I paid no attention to the category, which is always a bad thing to do with Jeopardy. 2. I confused John Adams with John Quincy Adams. Boo hiss indeed. I'm glad Andrew won again. I don't think I remember the last time we had a long-time champ that everyone here seems to like.

I can certainly understand his irritation with her. However, we don't know that she's living well. If she has a newer BMW and an expensive purse habit, she could very well be living check to check. She's probably like most litigants we see and living way above her means. I think the contractor just learned a hard lesson; don't let anyone's hard luck story influence your pricing. You quote the job in a way that will cover your expenses and allow for a reasonable profit, or you walk away from the job. Let the next guy work for free if he's willing!

I'm really enjoying this storyline for Bonnie. I dated a woman in a wheelchair for about four years, and I noticed a lot of things I'd never even thought about before. I noticed that most people don't have a clue how to act around someone with that condition. Some folks would immediately jump in to help, and my ex always appreciated it. But I can understand their fear. This continues to be one of my favorite sitcoms, and I'm thrilled to have read here that it has been renewed. I also agree that it's much better without the whiny daughter. The son never bothered me, but I despised the character of her daughter.

If someone had the audacity to ask me if I were on my period while trying to get my business, it'd be the last conversation he ever had with me. I know Harvey said it doesn't rise to the level of being able to breach, but I'd have breached the hell out of that contract and tossed him out on his ass. And Harvey is a pig who wouldn't know any better anyway. Sorry for the rant. That's one of my many pet peeves. I hate when people say that shit. The defendant wasn't my favorite litigant by far, but I could understand her attitude toward him if that's how he behaved. I thought the verdict was perfect, since she did let him continue to work. I'm enjoying this week of new episodes. I hope we get more new ones next week. TPC tends to take weeks off at a time.

If your team sucks, like mine does, they get scorched a lot? I got nothing. I got FJ pretty quickly, but I'm originally from PA, so I thought of Pittsburgh almost immediately. I didn't know where the name came from, so I did learn something. Andrew needs to get some of these FJs right. He made me nervous today when he tipped that he had no clue on the answer before they even revealed it.
-
Thanks, everyone. I don't know how long it will last, but I'm going to do what I can to ensure he is well taken care of and feels the love he wasn't getting in his old home.
-
I wouldn't go back to TWOP if you paid me. Seriously, they made me so paranoid about posting I prefaced every freaking thing I wrote with, "In my opinion..." I also often said, "You're mileage my vary, of course." Despite all of my hard work, I still managed to get multiple short-term bans, which were their version of a timeout. Those mods were the Soup Nazis of the internet. I'm so glad to have found PTV and all you fine people. In other news, guess who's a new mom? Yep, a relative had three children taken away by CPS. One of them, a 14-year old girl, was returned to the house after a weekend in a group home since she's 14 and vehemently denied any abuse was occurring and insisted she's fine and wants to be at home. The 13-year-old boy, who made the physical abuse allegations, is on the spectrum, has severe ADHD, and also has epilepsy. He's combative with his teachers and even threatened to beat up a police officer who was detaining him after he attacked his principal. While my heart breaks for him, it was his constant allegations of abuse that led to CPS intervening, and I'm not comfortable having him in my home. One time he even accused me of hitting him, which I'd never ever do. Many of you know, I transitioned into teaching, so any allegation of abuse, even unfounded, could jeopardize me professionally. I volunteered to foster the 6-year old boy. He's such a great kid; he's really smart and has an amazing vocabulary, but he's also well-behaved. Some smart kids are annoying (hell, I was annoying and smart.) This one is super cool. I never thought I'd say it, but I'm enjoying parenting and find myself looking forward to doing neat stuff with him: baseball games, museums, movies, swimming, etc. Anyway, it looks like the little guy is going to be with me for at least a few months. Let's see if full-time parenting changes my opinions about some of our parent-of-the-year candidates we see on JJ. I doubt it will.

I got the sense in the tire case (btw someone should tell them run flats have been around for a long time) that the defendant is the one who suggested the interest. I've had relatives tell me if I spot them a couple hundred they'll pay me back 300. I guess I'm a loan shark and didn't know it. I really hated that defendant and his smug attitude in the hallway. He never intended to pay her anything and then acted all indignant about usury. I hope everyone he knows saw the show and nobody gives that asshole another dime. Also, I suspect he'll need money again long before she will. And he's now burned that bridge for a lousy $500. Idiot.

Ditto. I love Raven. I have nothing nice to say about the Olsens, so I won't say anything!
-
Yep. Completely typical, too. I don't trust anyone who claims to be religious. If you're secure in your beliefs, why do you need to convince me of it? Much like your political beliefs, views on abortion, and your salary, I don't care and don't want to hear it.I once told a coworker I was gay (she asked if I was married and at the time marriage wasn't an option for us.) She then told me that she doesn't "believe in homosexuality." I told her she needed to start believing since we obviously exist. Freaking idiot. I'm not surprised this monster blamed his wife's murder and his assault on brown-skinned gays. For someone like him, there's nothing worse.

S41.E18: Julia Louis-Dreyfus / Nick Jonas

Great episode for me. I loved the Seinfeld stuff in the monologue, the Mercedes ad, God is a Boob Man, Ciinema Classics, and the cold open. It's so fun when they have a host with improv experience and enthusiasm. I wasn't feeling Weekend Update, but I still think Che and Jost have melded into a pretty good anchor team. I do like Barkley and Shaq when they're on, so that was funny for me. -
My name is Irish. It's about as Irish a first and last name can be. You should see the doubletakes I get when people meet me in person after only speaking to me on the phone. I am a fairly butch, black woman. It's never what they're expecting when they talk to me on the phone. I think they're expecting a lass with long red hair and green eyes. This episode was meh for me. I think Junior saved it, and Ruby was funny too. The entire argument between Dre and Bow was ridiculous. I don't know how or why she stays married to him sometimes.

I didn't like McKinnie, but I felt the same way about his reaction. I thought it was funny, actually.I also am a Grafton fan. I've read all except for the newest one. But you only need to be a regular Jeopardy viewer to have known the answer. They ask about her a lot. Sadly, I don't remember her on Jeopardy, but I often skip the celebrity tournaments; I prefer SNL's version of them much more.
-
I freaking loved Margaret, and I usually hate contestants who speak slowly. She reminded me of my high school librarian, who was the first weird adult I'd ever met. I was a weird kid and knew other weird kids, but I didn't know you could be a weird adult. I hope she's around for a long time; her knowledge base seems solid, but a pop culture FJ could be her kryptonite. I got FJ immediately and did really well throughout the game. I wonder if I do better when the contestants do better. There's a nice flow to the game, and it keeps me more focused.

She was playing not to lose instead of playing to win. I agree with you; it was a bad wager. Why even bet $4K in that situation? Crossword puzzles are responsible for at least half of my knowledge base! Sadly, Jeopardy writers have their favorites within each category. They tend to ask about the same writers, composers, world leaders, scientists, dancers, etc. I think that's why I love the TOC so much; I may not do well in it, but it often leads me to look up names I didn't know.I like when they do clues from the Pima Air and Space Museum. It's right around the corner from my house and one of my favorite museums. I wish I'd known they were filming clues there. You big city dwellers see stuff near you on Jeopardy all the time. It's cool when it happens in my city, which is usually overshadowed by Phoenix.
