I'm nursing a sprained ankle due to a nasty spill I took down my parents' front steps. I missed the last step and went ass over head. It would never dawn on me to blame anyone other than myself for my injury. Sometimes people fall because of negligence. Most of the times, we fall because of carelessness.

The ruling in the shady mechanic case had me scratching my head. He did work she didn't need and didn't fix the problem, but she still has to pay for it? I get the unjust enrichment thing, but she didn't need new motor mounts. Since he still has the old ones, he could put those back in and she'd be in the same position she was before the wrong. I didn't like that verdict at all. He was rewarded for being a lying thief. Also, her car was only a 2009 Nissan. It's not like some of the people we see on here suing about a 20 year old hoopty. It's only 2 years out of its original warranty!

Commenting on a message board about a Jeopardy contestant we find annoying is not "shaming the personality out of people, especially girls." Some of us prefer Jeopardy contestants who don't whoop and jump around. Some people like contestants who we think would be better suited for Wheel of Fortune. How about we respect everyone's opinion instead of criticizing those who disagree with us? The ability to do so is why I like this board so much.

Jack kept looking at the other contestants. Was he seeking their approval? It was weird. I can't even with Sabrina. I get that she's young, but she got on my last nerve. Of the three, the one who didn't annoy me won, so at least there's that. And Sabrina won't get a wildcard.

Darien, CT, is a pretty wealthy area. I think his parents should ask for a refund for his tuition. Wow, he had some terrible responses! I skip the kids' tournament, which is a little too precious for me, but I am guilty of watching the teen tourney. It makes me feel smart. Will this be followed by another tournament, or will we be back to regular games when it's over?

Count me in for the Nevada guess. I have no idea why, except its proximity to California. Kat drove me nuts, plus I got dumped once by a Kat, so I can't root for anyone with that name. It's ruined for me. Off topic: I need to settle down and get married. I'm running out of names to date!

Right. That's why I said I have no idea what she was thinking. It was a terrible answer.

This season hasn't been great for me, but I really liked this episode. Much like Roseanne before it, this show does Halloween really well. Diane and Ruby both had me creaking up, as did the rest of the gang. I also love Nicole Sullivan, so any episode she's in is a plus for me.

H did that at least once. It was the first time I realized what a dick he is. That was really early in his run. A contestant was talking about cooking, and Alex said, "Well, you obviously like to eat." Ugh. France was such a bad answer I wonder if she didn't read the part of the clue about the alphabet. I don't know what else she could've been thinking. I got Albania right away, and when I saw both the male contestants had it right I assumed she would too. I despise NASCAR so was surprised I ran the category. I learned hippocrepiform, which I'd never heard before, so I learned something today.

I got FJ immediately, but I thought it was a great question. More of that type, please!

I think the contestant knew who she was but just messed up her name. He gave an answer that was close, but I can't remember now what he said.

I was laughing because, like the new champ, I also said Gennifer Flowers when I meant Jennifer Saunders. I may need to dial back my political tv viewing if it's creeping into my Jeopardy answers!

That sounds like some trophy generation BS, which I can't stand. I had the same thought process in FJ as you did and, therefore, made the same mistake. I thought Albright was way too old to have only preceded HRC by a decade.

NOOOOOOO!!! Drats! I really liked Seth and was rooting for him. That wager? Dude, no! I got FJ right away and was sure Seth would get it and continue on as champ since he managed to outpace the new champ by $2,000 at the end of DJ. She bothered me from the start with her driving dance thing during the intro; what was that? But afterward I didn't really have a problem with her. I see her as a one-and-done, like many giant killers are. My Jeopardy test is in 15 minutes. Wish me luck!

I've moved several times, internationally, intrastate, and interstate. I've never, ever not had something damaged in a move. I always take the insurance because I know they'll break something. I usually just pray it's nothing I can't replace. So far, I'm enjoying the new episodes. I'm waiting for an epic MM smack down, which I haven't seen this season yet, but I'm sure it will come. I love when she goes off on people, as opposed to JJ, who seems to have content for everyone.

This was my least favorite episode of the show, by a mile. I despise Disney, so watching a commercial for them was more than I could get through. The cast is great, and I hate that they wasted their talents on such a crappy episode. If this was supposed to make me want to go to Disney, it failed miserably.

I like Seth a lot, so don't get too used to him. We all know what happens when one of us mentions liking a contestant! I have enjoyed this season so far. They can bring back the ballpark foods category anytime they want.

You're absolutely correct. My middle school students know proper English. The decision not to speak it is more cultural than ignorance. As someone who often got picked on for "talking white," I can relate. That being said, I would hope by the time they get to college they'll be less concerned about what their peers think and proud to show off their education. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be happening.

I got a Louis CK vibe from him, even in his voice. That may be because I just saw the Power Players episode from last week.

Hi everyone! I haven't had a chance to post since the new season started but just wanted to pop in and say I've missed the snark tremendously. I haven't been impressed yet, either. However, one good thing about the contestants we've seen is that I feel like a freaking genius. There's something to be said for getting a lot of TS's correct when you're playing at home! Bring on the J test while I'm still feeling cocky.

I'm catching up now that I realized there are new episodes. First of all, I'm glad Curt is gone. Secondly, I had to comment on this piece of shit. Oh, I know he doesn't care about my opinion of him because I'm "just a female." This guy is a product of way too many desperate women out there. If these women had an nice of self-confidence, the only action that loser would get would be from his right hand. What a vile piece of crap. And the women hooking up with him are, in my opinion, even worse.

She gave that grandmother way too much leeway and should have thrown her out after the tenth interruption. The Lolita was a rough-looking sixteen, or however old she claims to be. At girl could order at a bar and not get carded!

I don't usually quite someone just to laugh because it adds little to the discussion, but damn if that didn't make me snert.

That case ticked me off, and I'd just started watching JJ again. Yes, a car can be an accident and the mechanical issues not be discovered until the exterior damage has been repaired. I rolled a Mitsubishi Eclipse three times on the PA Turnpike one year on my birthday (good times.) The insurance company spent over $10,000 to fix the exterior, when they should have just totaled it. Once that happened and it was driveable, the mechanic took it for a test drive and realized the tranny was ruined. Since they'd already coughed up $10,000, they went and paid another $5,000 to fix the mechanical issues. This was on a $22,000 car. Like I said, they should've just totaled the damn thing. It never ran the same afterward anyway. As usual, JJ gets a case she doesn't understand and screws the pooch. She should stick to dog cases. Anything with technology or cars, and she is out of her element.

It's not $770 for a phone; it's $32 a month for 24 months, or however the math works out. You and I know that's still $770, but your average JJ litigant doesn't think that way. Hence the rent-to-own contracts they get themselves into. Incidentally, I recently bought a new cell phone. It's a Google Nexus 6p, and it's the nicest phone I've ever owned. I was showing it to a friend of mine and mentioned it was $400. She was shocked I paid that much for a phone. I asked her how much her Samsung Galaxy S7 was, and she said, "It's only $32 a month!" No, I don't know why I'm friends with her...
