That is what really gets me. I've brought this up constantly and so has the show because Kristin studying IN THE MEDICAL PRACTICE. So, how can all of a sudden she is: "I heard bad things, I was a 17 year old mom... wahhh!!!" Then how are you going to be a doctor, nurse, CNA because guess what. You have to give shots for things like that. Makes me mad on the old TV series, The Practice when it was revealed that the mother of a lawyer who was almost killed in a bombing refuse to allow her daughter to have a blood transfusion because they were Jehova Witnesses and didn't allow that. Yet, she was a practicing nurse for over 25 years also didn't know if her daughter had been practicing since she left for college. It made no sense! It is one thing when people work in an environment when they have problems and keep it to themselves but when you get episodes like this you just scratch your head and go: "These type of people don't exist."

Yeah, it was a very unresolved episode which was one of the first times some side didn't win. Happy that finally for the first time, Ryan came across as someone who actually learned something. However, this episode was so written to fit the story and at this point, seriously, the audience could care less about Kristin/Boyd/Ryan but of course. If they did get rid of them, the show would feel the need to replace them for some reason. I just am really tired of Kyle being the martyr all the time, give this guy a win besides Mandy. Really, seriously. Give him something.

Something really gets me is that Bishop ends up saying that everything with Cary's frame up is to get to him because the FBI can get to him through Cary. I'm thinking now that Castro is the mole and the FBI set this up from the beginning. If you think about it, Bishop constantly has inside information and he keeps telling Kalinda not to worry about how he knows. While Castro is now dropping out because he knows he would lose to Alicia and NotNiles. Castro basically is just going with the flow, I'm sure the FBI gave Castro the info on Cary for the frame up. Castro saw it as a great way to stick it to Alicia and stay on Bishop's good side. Of course his constant leaking info to the press and to Bishop he fell right into the FBI's trap to get Bishop. So, now if and when Bishop goes down and if it leads back to him he can go: "No, I was set up, my family was threaten." "I'm clean and now, can I go back to my life please?"

Kristin character is just a mess period now. Vanessa I feel they keep spinning her to: "What does a Geologist do?" to "Huh?" "We we have neighbors?" "I thought we were best friends." The only consistent characters left on the show are: Mike, Eve, Kyle, Mandy and Ed. I really wish, that Kyle was officially promoted to the general manager for Outdoor Man. I mean, Ed is the boss and owner, Mike is the Business Director. Seems like Kyle is running the entire store at times and yet he is only make $10 an hour? I mean he was living in the store. Do Mike and Ed really think that is right? Ryan gets away with more crap like that and yet still has a nice apartment that he pays for on his own no problem. I really wish it would be revealed that Kyle is saving for a ring for Mandy and they decide to get a townhouse where Mandy can run her online business and Kyle is now the store's general manager and Mandy still chips in 50/50 for expenses.

I found this completely a pain but for the first time in a long time, I completely understood Ryan's POV. Plus, he admitted he wasn't around for Boyd and just assumed due to her parents and their family, Boyd would have been given his vaccinations and be done with it. However, what I will not accept not to mention I see no possible way that Kristin didn't get Boyd his vaccinations since day 1. It has been applied since season 1 and even with the rewriting on Kristin/Ryan/Boyd that Vanessa and Mike helped her through almost everything the first couple of years before Ryan came back into the picture. Then you add into the fact they are in the Montana/Colorado area where public schools need medical records that children are up to date or about to get vaccinations due to the areas. You can't just say: "yeah, he is up to date on his shots and no I have no paperwork to prove this." It was also a bad timing with this episode with ebola being talked about of course the way the episodes were filmed and then release with the Halloween episode and Voting Day episode airing a week before they happen and then an episode that doesn't have anything to do with either airing ON Halloween. Or how known celebrities are going back on their causes that vaccines cause autism or other problems with children. Plus, considering Kristin doing her crying about how she was 17 and was in charge of a baby also made no sense, it was shown time and time again she might not be the brightest bulb but did the obvious things someone who has a baby does. Like take them to doctors, play with them, help them with spelling. I mean come on! Also, with Ryan's history made no sense, so here is how I have to understand his background: 1. Ryan was born and raised in Canada but at some point his father had a business change that caused them to move into the states. 2. Ryan and Kristin meet mid way through high school, do something stupid and Boyd is produced. 3. Ryan freaks out, the US economy tanks and he and his parents who have apparently no other family outside two great uncles go back to Canada and just forget they have a grandchild or ream their son for taking their extra cash and going to Brazil for 2 years instead of being a parent and they offer no support for Kristin of any kind. 4. Ryan apparently has a vision in South America, gets back to the states starts working as a truck driver and decides now to be a father. 5. Everyone buy Mike and Eve swoon over Ryan being back in the picture and let him get away with whatever half crazed ideas and apparently brain damaged cells he has from being a hippy (and the beard). 6. Kristin magically forgives him, Vanessa, Mandy and Eve then comes around because you know, he is the father of Boyd despite all the crap he pulled. 7. Ryan and Kristin get engaged and we are at currently episodes. Ok, yeah that fits in with Ryan ever getting his shots growing up due to lack of contact with extended family because there wasn't any and he was an only child. Because apparently he was home schooled in Canada and didn't come into contact with any other children until he went into high school in the states. Because a transfer coming in from another country wouldn't have raised red flags even 12 years ago!. Sure and yes Tim Allen, we get it! You hate the democratic party.

Oh I know, I love her explanation to him: "You made me walk around here like an idiot when you knew te truth!" What was he going to say: "Elis Grey is your mom?" "Since you are half-black you must be my daughter!" Maggie: "Father!" Richard: "Daughter!" *Embrace* I mean come on, her character from the start is treated as someone who came in as a stalker, did enough research to know who Merideth was, where her mother lived and worked and is named after. Gets a job because you know, she is super doctor. Yet, can't put two and two together and realize that one man who was the chief for years and has had his life at the same hospital while others have died, retired or left and Maggie can't put that piece of the puzzle together. Now, she is mad because he didn't flat out tell her right away. Another question Maggie doesn't ask: "Do I have any other half siblings because of you?" Richard: "No, my now deceased wife knew the truth, I couldn't father children with her because I figured I would be a terrible father but a great teacher. So, I just decided to be everyone else's dad." Maggie: "So, you both stayed together for a marriage that was over for 30 years?" Richard: "Yeah, pretty much but hey I was mad at your mother because she was better than me."

Very true. The problem is, the cocaine was at the lab and that it was all of a sudden gone. Cary was suppose to sign it out but didn't and as we know it leads to something he was doing for Peter. Of course, the problem is, HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL! Just because someone was suppose to sign it out and then all of a sudden its gone. The witness saying he took it doesn't hold up and there is no evidence that Cary took, sold it or for that matter gave it to someone. There is also no video documentation on it. You don't take that much of a illegal drug and there is no surveillance or anything. Even how Castro and the DEA have been treating Cary from the point he was arrested to throwing out his legal rights. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. I'm convinced that Castro is in Bishop's pocket and and Bishop is trying to have at least one State's Attorney on his side if Alicia or Castro win. Of course, if DHP wins then he's screwed. Good job LG for having him as a client you let him get into everything.

S01.E05: Even Hell Has Two Bars (5) Never Block Cookies (6)
readster replied to Lisin's topic in Selfie [V]
This show works so well because of both the leads and supporting cast. Very rare these days in either sitcom or dramas to get that winning combination. Most times, the leads are great but the supporting cast don't. Then they try to push up the supporting cast and it fails. I really hope the show stabilizes, its a great show and I love watching it. -
Oh I agree on the payroll tax. Happened to my wife when the office she used to work for closed up. Man, the taxes hurt her but they were not 40%. You really have to tell me that a show like Last Man Standing, an ABC hit series wouldn't have tax people they could ask just to make it a bit more close to reality?
-
I really wish they would get the kids together. You have the oldest a college dropout who instead of trying to act like an adult gets the smallest insult for child #2 and then gets a thought of her dad cheating on her mom. "I need a drink!" As for daughter #2, for someone who is acting like a teen she seems to do well calling out everyone else's crap pretty easily. I agree with up on the post, she looks a bit older than for her character. The crisis of the week made no sense and yes, no way her Tim Daley would be working with the NSA and her not knowing about it. They are starting to really get caught up in their storylines that make no sense. Who is the consultants for CBS, they are worse than ABC consultants on their government shows.

That has to be completely the worse political forced episode ever. I was rooting for Mandy but after this with Mike, she needs to move out, get a place with Kyle and get married because this is just bad. Kyle is 10 times a better husband than Ryan ever will be. Ryan is seriously the worse character on TV. I'm sick of Tim Allen's political views but Ryan has no redeeming qualities ever and his beard looks bad. He looks better shaved like he did for two episodes in season 2.

I really think we are going to see the end of both Bishop and Kalinda before this season is over. He is clearly not afraid of her but at the same time, he is getting closer and closer to screwing up. As for Finn doing the shock that Castro is so corrupt and will do anything to get his way. It was a big: "Well, duh, you moron!" Of course, Bishop knows he can't just kill Castro because then he will be done. Of course, the death of two people right after the discovery. Yes, Bishop has someone on the inside. I agree with what is said about the bail judge. He is always mad, its very one note.

Not only dark, of course she would lose the money to a mugger. Forget the fact she wasn't thinking straight at all and her mom should have decided to handle the bills herself. Wow! Dark and not the best season premiere.

Two And A Half Men - General Discussion
readster replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Two And A Half Men
I guess people joking how Waldon would be sleeping with Alan before the show was over were right. Seriously, I am so happy this show is ending. The jokes are horrible, Waldon doesn't know how to do anything right and to know that Jake can't read a calendar when he isn't even on the show anymore. Wow! Horrible! -
Phil's awesomeland just didn't make sense. It's Halloween, it just bugs. I hate what has happened with Haley and Luke. Haley seems to toke so much she has no braincells left. Luke... its just bad. Poor, Jay and I was happy with how the Lily/Cam story ended but poor Mitchell. The recorder comes dressed as a giant spider... really? Any other court would have had her on report, you can't dress like that even in a small 300 town population. It was serious case, there is suspension of belief and then there is that.
-
I don't blame either actress on what happened to Kristin. I blame the writers and producers for turning her into a one note, defend the baby daddy character they made her into. I really hate the fact they mention every other episode that she is in school but only taking one class at time. Yet, we never see her with books, carrying a notebook, not even checking online or mentioning by her or Ryan that she needs to go to study group or Mike and Vanessa mentioning they are watching Body since Ryan is working and Kristin is in class. Kristin is either at work, defending Ryan or being a plot device. But we hear about Mandy dropping out of college every episode. Season 1 Kristin was miles above what she was turned into. Not to mention, she wants to be a doctor? Nurse or Nurse Practitioner would have been more realistic and she would be close to be finished by now.

The problem is, they are playing Cary as very unaware of what he should and should not be doing. Another problem is, I get that Alicia and Diane are busy running the firm and add in the SA race but at times I feel like they should be working Cary's case better. If feels like Cary keeps playing himself into Castro's hands, the SA office is doing what it can to keep it that way. Then Alicia and Diane go: "Umm... duh!" and keep getting caught with their pants down every time. I also thought Cary's hook up with a plant but even Grubick should have handled that better. They are leaving her as this character that just does her job, doesn't doubt but then you add in the whole talk with Bishop and Kalinda and it keeps being more of how Castro wants to bring Bishop down and doesn't care who gets in his way. I'm about to say, if Castro and the SA office are so busy trying to shut down Cary and Alicia. They should just pull some strings, have Bishop killed in a car accident and let his men just fight among themselves for control and let them blow themselves up. Seems much easier. Of course, Castro wants to do it: "By the Book" even though he isn't doing anything by the book. It's getting tiresome.
-
So, the writers want to actually address what a Geologist does and still can't even Google what Vanessa would be doing in the job and Ryan once again has to go super ECO on everyone and Mike goes: "Moron!" Ryan: "I'm finally marrying your daughter." Vanessa: "He's right!" Mike: "Ok, forgive you again for the 500th time." Kristin: *Stares like a deer in the headlights* Boyd: "Could I look any more like poo?" Oh what happened? This season was off to a great start.
-
I really thought they had finally figured out the balance about less Boyd, less political crap between Mike and Ryan and then this episode aired. Wow! It was painful. Ryan is officially one of the worst characters on TV because he never changes he gets worse and then they have the rest of the characters just enable the character. He hates corporate but works for it, he goes on about how much his life sucked because of his parents but does stupider things that they never would have done. Not to mention WE NEVER HAVE MET THEM! Its with the entire token black neighbors next door, so happy we haven't seen them at all this season but Vanessa will probably go: "We are the best friends." NO! Just stop, what a bad episode.
-
Oh Diane, how can you be that stupid? Not to mention what is with the Kings on how computer systems work? They keep showing old DOS when we have clearly seen the show use updated OSX, Pages, Keynote, Numbers and yes, even Google Drive. Yes, why didn't she contact IT for her old mail. I'm also tired of the FBI agent: "Sure, I'll do what you want, but sleep with me and come on, just tell people you like women more and come run off with me." GET OVER IT!

What a great episode. My wife and I loved it but I have to point out the holes. 1. No way would have ex-girlfriend invisible woman been able to get up after Castle threw her into a glass table that completely shattered. Of course, 3XK took several bullets to the chest and fell several feet into the river and barely had a limp. 2. How did the invisible ex-girlfriend choke Becket when Stana is a good 5 inches taller than her? 3. Apparently taking off clothes and changing is a super power in the Castleverse as both the ex-girlfriend can put on a full body suit in less than 2 minutes and Becket can take off all her clothes faster than Jim Carey in Bruce All Mighty. Now, I can buy the invisible ex getting the DVD from the evidence room. She would just wait until someone was brought in. Wait until the guard took a break. Get the DVD out and then wait until someone came back in to slip in and out without problems. Of course, at this police station, evidence goes in and out without no one batting an eye. Other wise, what a great episode and I feel for Ryan. I have only one kid and my wife has been unemployed for a few months, so money is tight with us. Sadly, I've seen couples making the same as us and have 3 kids, outstanding credit card debt and still have money to spend and so things and I always scratch my head how they do that when I do the same. However, if Jenni chose to leave her job to be at home mother, then that is a question of thinking it was good on paper and then with just Ryan making the money, she should think about going back to work since Sarah is almost a year old now.
-
Agreed. Mike was completely in the right since, Ed really had his own business and yes was the driving force making Outdoor Man successful. However, as Ed pointed out, everyone knows he's the boss, Mike has constantly been on Ed's side since day one. I actually did like Mandy getting Eve back and when Vanessa jumped in saying don't be hateful. Mandy: "But mom, come on, you always stand there when Eve does it." The look on her face was priceless like: "She has me there." Less Ryan and Boyd are always a good thing.
-
That wasn't a bad episode but sadly they are turning Vanessa into Jill 2.0 from HI. Now, she brings up: "Eve will become a soldier and then we might get that knock on the door someday." I was on Bud and Mike's side the entire episode about how you can't protect your child forever. Of course you have daughter one engaged, already have a child the man she's marrying. Child 2 dropped out of school and is running a fashion line out of your basement on her Facebook and Etsy website. Daughter 3 seems to be the most driven of the three now. They have finally tone Eve back a bit, keep the tom boy part of her but she wants to be a regular teen and wants to be a soldier. So, Vanessa's argument falls a bit flat. I am happy they tone down the political jokes in both episodes, better balance. Took 2 years since season 2 but they were better presented.

S06.E03: SoapSox, Heart Pup, Ninja Cards, DrumPants
readster replied to yeswedo's topic in Shark Tank
The Soapsox ideas was a good idea but sadly, they should have taken Laurie's deal. The Dog Sling idea was actually pretty good, I saw two graduate students with their dogs on campus heading to the business school. I'm a doc student and I've seen people bringings pets with them to campus. So, I can see a law student doing that. The Ninja guys were lazy, I get it, they were discourage when their deal went up in their faces but once you get your licensing back. You pick up the phone and make a few calls or go back to the convo shows. As for Drumpants, they completely blew it. She was a moron, should have taken Robert's deal. That company is going to go under fast. -
The button part was really stupid. You don't put a sign that says: "Don't push." You tape a box over it and then put a sign that says: "Please do not remove, air conditioning not working." For a college full of bright teachers, students and grad students. That really was stupid! Man, Gould has lost his acting abilities, I mean I know he is 15 now but his acting did not improve with age. Manny seems to be just thrown back now and look Joe exists again! I also find it so funny that with 2 tall parents like Phil and Claire how short Alex and Haley are. But hey, can't guess actors growth stages when you cast them. Oh well.
