  1. I agree, I always so Espo as a father figure when he isn't written to be mad at Castle for some stupid reason. We even got an explanation in season 2 when we met his old partner. It wouldn't be hard to just have Laine talk to Kate and just say: "All of a sudden I was like: 'whoa' do I want to be this serious?" Simple as that and a lot of people can identify with Espo wanting to be more committed and Lainie realizing maybe she isn't ready or wants that.
  2. It was a much better episode. The humor was good, the jokes had the right timing. Yeah, yeah, Tim Allen had to get in his jab about Obama (again). However, the episode worked a lot better, especially with Kyle. He really is the good guy for Mandy and while Mandy doesn't think things through and just does it. Kyle at least tries to be smart about things even if he is naive about others. The problem with Eve is, she hates change. She likes things her way, was the favorite kid and then Boyd was born. Wants to be a man but is actually a girl who of course, enjoys being a girl but won't admit it. Loves her family but wants to do everything her own way. Similar to Mike and for the first time Mike and Chuck sounded like friends. Not jabbing, not throwing out one cliche talk or joke, they actually acted like friends. I think the real problem with Vanessa is instead of just throwing out the bulbs she should have just told Mike that eventually they won't be made anymore and how LED and other bulbs do work just as good and are easier to dispose of and buy. Of course my wife and I just took out a fluorescent unit that was installed long before we bought out house and we were ready to send it to recycling. My father-in-law decided to go on a spiel how its fine but finding the bulbs isn't as easy as he thought. People like Mike and Eve, don't like change and don't see a reason why you shouldn't go spend a lot of money for something that is phasing out. Oh well.
  3. The episode fell into the entire "seen this before a million times." Bad guy is really just misunderstood but went over board on everything. Interesting he knew how to get a gun out of a street cop's holster just by yanking on it. Knew how to build a suicide bomber vest and get on the camera location no problem. Because remember, he was a hacker and occupied wal lstreet guy. I'm for Espo but you have more natural playing out when he and Ryan were stuck in the burning building with Jenny going into labor. Better scripted and acted. This was very forced.
  4. Considering the most recent episode dealt with Mike angry that they were no longer make his type of lightbulb and its the government's fault for that (Obama). I think Ed's impending fatherhood in his 60s will be a lot better.
  5. Matt Czuchry is all that is left that is good about this show. Of course he is going to jail, everyone else has no intelligence from Alicia writing a letter her character would have never written in a million years. To the fact that Bishop hasn't been accidentally shoved in front of a moving bus. Or how Geneva is still bitter about Cary.
  6. Loved how the campus rape storyline was handled. I agree, which the Good Wife would have done it that way. I find it funny that a staff sergeant who couldn't be promoted in his own precinct couldn't get promoted to lieutenant and now works for Frank but is replaced by an actually lieutenant who had the same experience as him. Yet, Frank can't promote him still. I will never to this day understand how police rant works on both TV and the real world. Because we have a police captain who made that rank before 40 in my home town and had a sergeant still in that rank since he was in his early 40s who did all the responsibilities as a captain. Go figure.
  7. So many hard hitting anvils and I'm not touching Meredith and Derek. Everyone has said their piece. 1. Of course Amelia can fix Geena Davis because neither her or her doctors didn't go: "Hey!" "You have one of the best neurosyrgins in the country/world and his baby sister who is equally good." "Maybe we should consult them first before saying you are dead." Geena Davis: "Then I'll be found out about my tumor and I won't be able to operate and talk about my AMAZING abilities to my interns!" "Ok, doctor, that makes sense." 2. "So, the baby has a problem huh?" "Why did the OBGYN not notice something 3 months ago because this type of disorder can be seen at that point no problem." "Oh, she just disappeared, so who knows." "Either way, the baby is doomed!" "Oh well, ice cream anyone?" 3. "I can't leave Seattle!" "I have to drink and sleep at my father's former house!" Wahaa!" Audience: "You have kids?" Really?
  8. That's exactly it. What has Meredith been really doing? She is going out drinking with her friends and laughing about things and using patients to win her arguments. Where is her research? Where are her trials? Where is she being a teacher or anything else? IT'S NOT THERE! Also with Stephanie, they have no idea what to do with her. She is the middle person in constant Jackson/April drama since day 1. She has no life outside of them, nothing. Just end the show already.
  9. I agree. Wow! I would say late 50s at the worst.
  10. That's the thing, Claire's turkey looked half way done when she revealed it to Alex and Phil was busy still dressing his up with his iPhone App. It was just the fact that everyone walked into Jay and Gloria's and no one noticed that really made no sense. Not to mention why Phil grabbed the turkey from the bottom. Especially when it was shoved in there to begin with since Gloria and Jay knew Phil's was cooking on the top. Why would Phil grab it from the bottom, especially when the upper oven had a light on and the other didn't?
  11. They had me at Atari and then the Power Glove. St. Elmo's fire was the icing on the cake, I love this show.
  12. It was funny but it was like the writers were trying to hard on a few factors. First there is the entire turkey aroma that has been mentioned by almost everyone. No way people would have just walked into the house or not noticed that there was a turkey being cooked. Also, with Hailey bringing up Manny's crush on her that has been barely touched on since season 2. Now, she just brings it up out of the blue. I was with Manny on that, he kept putting himself in awkward situations and was admitting he has moved on from that 13 year old. It was like how Luke finally got over the entire "uncle" talk back in season 1. Now, they act like buds now. I also didn't get the entire top oven/bottom oven mix up. It made no sense especially when you know Phil was cooking and in charge of the kitchen from the first scene. Also, Phil has proven time and time again he can really cook up a great meal and here Claire was acting like he didn't know anything. Also made no sense Claire said it was her Holiday. Cam and Mitchell have been doing it since day 1 but was so glad that Mitchell laid down how Cam has let Lily get away with everyone. Even with his over the top attitude and wanting Lily to be the best, he hasn't put up with her crap at all the last few years. Hated Jay's line about why they were hiding out. It was like the writers were saying: "See, they have been hanging out off screen, we don't have to show it." "Get over and keep watching out show!" "Hey remember how Manny had a thing for Hailey five years ago?" "No, we do and we are going to bring it up for the first time in years."
  13. After getting Plastique and Girder, I really hope we see Double Down, Blacksmith and Murmur.
  14. I think we would take Ed's new girlfriend and now the mother of his unborn child better if they did do the entire: "You're the boss, act like it, stop letting people walk over you. My hot, hot lover." Too many shows have done that and its like the writers know its annoying but are also trying to say: "You are stuck with the character, this is how we are writing them, now get over it." Which is Kristin/Ryan/Boyd to the T these days. Critics and fans of the show say they are the weakest links to the show but guess what, they are getting married and being one BIG happy family now. We are suppose to get over it, just like Ryan's beard which the showrunners want him having because he's a "tree hugger" they all have beards.
  15. The problem is, Bishop has become the one-note villain. I will admit the scene in his house was well acted and tense but the storyline has now fallen into bad comic book villain story. Bishop is pretty much admitting he will kill someone who turns on him in a second. The FBI know it, the firm knows it, the SA knows it. Let me is just riding along in his limo dropping his son off at school like he is just a rich guy and has to worry more about the IRS than the feds. Its getting up there and it really is painting Cary, Diane and even Will's former dealing with Bishop along the lines of: "You wanted this guy as a client?" "Really?" There is protecting the rights of someone and bringing in the money and then there is this. If Bishop goes down, do you think Cary and the rest of the firm are going to just ride into the sunset. His men could find everything to crush who took Bishop down. Car accidents, people falling off bridges, you name it. These goons are so loyal to him that they would shoot a pigeon trying to eat a bread crumb in front of him when he is trying to walk on the sidewalk. Flint has officially gotten on my last nerve with her: "I want this to be serious" with Kalinda. Really, seems all you two do is have sex and sip wine. When do you go shopping, have lunch together or hang out at functions? I hate when they do this with same sex couples on any show. Its always: have sex, make out, sip wine and then all of a sudden: "You don't want to commit to me." Does any TV writer straight or gay understand how to write couples? But of course they then say: "Its boring" I want to have endless sex and wine drinking in my life, so I'll write them that way." Well guess what, no one cares.
  16. Just started my collection again due to so financial hits the last several months. My new list is: Spider-Man and the X-Men Ms. Marvel The Stray Uncanny Avengers
  17. I love this series. Great to see others reading it.
  18. The office scenes are the best but at the same time I am getting tired of Felix's character. He really is the weak link of the show, going around talking about how he is tired of Cristela living with them, making no money, ect. Yeah, we get it, and its not like she isn't trying to get a job with the firm. That's the only problem with the show, sure there are one liners but at the same time, the law firm, scenes between the sisters and mom are great. However, every time Felix comes in its just an instant buzzkill or more. We get it, you work for yourself, you want to just enjoy coming up, enjoy the game, a beer, have a little fun with the kids and be done for the day. However, he has to constantly put Cristela down. I just don't see how Cristela is such a bother to him and the house. She pulls her weight, cooks, plays with the kids and is gone most of the day or studying. Why is it a problem?
  19. That wasn't a bad episode but I really wish TV shows on ABC would get sport seasons right on their shows. All these shows have them still playing football in the middle of November. Unless you are in the playoffs, the seasons would be over be now. Also, how Eve ended up coaching like that made no sense. If anyone kid would have talked about how much the coach isn't doing well then they would be kicked off the team so fast their head would spin. Of course, this is the school that allowed bullying of Eve to happen and jeeze... at this point. Just have Eve have a sex change make apparently everyone happy. No Ryan and Boyd and only one scene with Kristin is always a good thing. My jaw and my wife's jaw both dropped when Ed announced he was going to be a dad again in his 60s. Wow! Did not see that happening. Of course, I find it funny that they admit that Mike blames Obama for everything because its easy, yep, I think the writers and Tim Allen are getting tired of the joke too but they keep doing it. Poor Kyle, seriously, he tries he really does. So, in a relationship for 2 years and Mandy doesn't know if its serious either, come on writers. You are marrying Ryan and Kristin, you give Ed another kid with that annoying yoga instructor. Give Kyle and Mandy a win please.
  20. I love how people screw up or don't know if they screw up and the attending doctors and people who know better just sit there and look like a deer in the headlights. I also get a kick that Geena Davis's doctors said she needed aggressive radiation therapy but don't: A) Tell her to stop doing surgery. B) Keep saying she has 6 months to live but are doing the therapy to begin with when they know she is going to die soon. C) Doesn't seek both Shepherds who are well known brain surgeons about her condition. D) That now that a patient is dead and other fellowship intern is an idiot that Arizona of course isn't going to tell Owen or anyone else that she could collapse or have a seizure or screw up a patient case like this one at a moments notice. Because you know, she chose her to be special. Its just bad! Its going to take her falling to the floor in the middle of a surgery and have both mother and baby die and then the truth come out because when they rush her out of the operating room. They are going to see the tumor and Derek and Amelia are going to go: "Why didn't we know about this?"
  21. I was not a Dylan fan at all, I really got tired of the whole: "He's good looking but dumber than a post." Last three appearances, he has gotten a job, is doing well in the nursing program and even admitted it was time to grow up. He isn't sharp by any means but has shown when he applies to things he succeeds. At this point, I say bring back Dylan and get it over with. With Andy, throwing back in that he and Beth are back to the entire: "We are great at sex so we keep getting back together and never see her" is beyond tiresome now. Having Andy also leave behind his manny job at this point works since Joe would be heading towards Preschool soon. Still I am so over Cam and Mitchell's crap, the courtroom was funny but I can't take this anymore with their whining and competition on who is better.
  22. Oh yes, Scooter Ball, the wife and I were heading down memory lane a lot of this one. I laughed so hard at Over the Top reference. Good times.
  23. The entire tutor with Manny made no sense. It has been shown several times that Manny can speak Spanish just fine. As for the rest of the episode, there were plenty of moments I laughed out loud. I knew they were going to bring back Beth and Andy's toxic relationship again in case the writers didn't want to go forward with Hailey. It has been said by Andy several times how many times she has broken up with him or cheated on him and Beth always came back. Too bad he can't get the idea and dump her for good and only comes back because the sex is great. I have no idea what was going on with Alex and why she was studying so much to the point she hadn't slept in days. Come on writers, give her a decent story line you make more effort with Luke and he wasn't even in the episode.
  24. Oh no, please don't go the health care rates rising political talk. Oh please, don't. Also, either Eve's school is in the playoffs because football season is over now for most high schools.
  25. Its the classic: "Write to serve your story." Instead of: "Write for the character." Everything was all over the place and it comes off as badly written, acted and in the full context of the show goes against any pre established continuity or character development. I really wish LMS would either to decide to: "Keep the stories moving based on past episodes." or "Just make it a complete sounding board for Tim Allen's politics and see how fast the show gets canceled." So sad since the season really started off on a good note and season 3 was moving towards a better direction with all of the characters. Then this happens and the previous 2 episodes were just as bad. I mean Vanessa thinking of quitting her job due to Ryan making Boyd dress up like a piece of coal and election day the day after Halloween? Really?
